< Job 23 >
1 and to answer Job and to say
Then Job answered and said,
2 also [the] day rebellion complaint my hand my to honor: heavy upon sighing my
Yea, I know that pleading is out of my reach; and his hand has been made heavy upon my groaning.
3 who? to give: if only! to know and to find him to come (in): come till place his
Who would then know that I might find him, and come to an end [of the matter]?
4 to arrange to/for face: before his justice and lip my to fill argument
And I would plead my own cause, and he would fill my mouth with arguments.
5 to know speech to answer me and to understand what? to say to/for me
And I would know the remedies which he would speak to me, and I would perceive what he would tell me.
6 in/on/with abundance strength to contend with me me not surely he/she/it to set: consider in/on/with me
Though he should come on me in [his] great strength, then he would not threaten me;
7 there upright to rebuke with him and to escape to/for perpetuity from to judge me
for truth and reproof are from him; and he would bring forth my judgment to an end.
8 look! front: forward to go: went and nothing he and back and not to understand to/for him
For if I shall go first, and exist no longer, still what do I know [concerning] the latter end?
9 left in/on/with to make: do he and not to see to turn aside right and not to see: see
When he wrought on the left hand, then I observed [it] not: his right hand shall encompass me but I shall not see [it].
10 for to know way: conduct with me me to test me like/as gold to come out: come
For he knows already my way; and he has tried me as gold.
11 in/on/with step his to grasp foot my way: conduct his to keep: obey and not to stretch
And I will go forth according to his commandments, for I have kept his ways; and I shall not turn aside from his commandments,
12 commandment lips his and not to remove from statute: portion my to treasure word lip his
neither shall I transgress; but I have hid his words in my bosom.
13 and he/she/it in/on/with one and who? to return: turn back him and soul: myself his to desire and to make: do
And if too he has thus judged, who is he that has contradicted, for he has both willed [a thing] and done it.
14 for to complete statute: portion my and like/as them many with him
15 upon so from face his to dismay to understand and to dread from him
Therefore am I troubled at him; and when I was reproved, I thought of him. Therefore let me take good heed before him: I will consider, and be afraid of him.
16 and God be tender heart my and Almighty to dismay me
But the Lord has softened my heart, and the Almighty has troubled me.
17 for not to destroy from face: before darkness and from face my to cover darkness
For I knew not that darkness would come upon me, and thick darkness has covered [me] before my face.
