Jeremiah 44

1 [the] word which to be to(wards) Jeremiah to(wards) all [the] Jew [the] to dwell in/on/with land: country/planet Egypt [the] to dwell in/on/with Migdol and in/on/with Tahpanhes and in/on/with Memphis and in/on/with land: country/planet Pathros to/for to say

ഉത്തര ഈജിപ്റ്റിലും—മിഗ്ദോൽ, തഹ്പനേസ്, നോഫ് എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലും—പത്രോസുദേശത്തും വസിച്ചിരുന്ന എല്ലാ യെഹൂദരെയുംകുറിച്ച് യിരെമ്യാവിന് ഈ അരുളപ്പാടുണ്ടായി:

2 thus to say LORD Hosts God Israel you(m. p.) to see: see [obj] all [the] distress: harm which to come (in): bring upon Jerusalem and upon all city Judah and look! they desolation [the] day: today [the] this and nothing in/on/with them to dwell

“ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ജെറുശലേമിന്മേലും യെഹൂദ്യയിലുള്ള എല്ലാ പട്ടണങ്ങളിൻമേലും ഞാൻ വരുത്തിയ നാശമൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങൾ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. ആ പട്ടണങ്ങൾ ഇപ്പോൾ ശൂന്യമായിരിക്കുന്നു. ആരും അവയിൽ പാർക്കുന്നതുമില്ല;

അവർ ചെയ്ത ദുഷ്ടതനിമിത്തമാണ് അപ്രകാരം സംഭവിച്ചത്. അവരോ നിങ്ങളോ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോ അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലാത്ത അന്യദേവതകൾക്ക് ധൂപംകാട്ടുകയും അവയെ ഭജിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തതിലൂടെ അവർ എന്നെ കുപിതനാക്കി.

എന്റെ ദാസന്മാരായ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ ഞാൻ വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ച്, ‘ഞാൻ വെറുക്കുന്ന ഈ മ്ലേച്ഛതകൾ ചെയ്യരുതേ!’ എന്നു പറയിച്ചു.

എങ്കിലും അന്യദേവതകൾക്കു ധൂപം കാട്ടുന്ന ദുഷ്ടത വിട്ടുമാറാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം അവർ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുകയോ ചെവിചായ്‌ക്കുകയോ ചെയ്തില്ല.

6 and to pour rage my and face: anger my and to burn: burn in/on/with city Judah and in/on/with outside Jerusalem and to be to/for desolation to/for devastation like/as day: today [the] this

അതുനിമിത്തം എന്റെ കോപവും ക്രോധവും യെഹൂദ്യയിലെ പട്ടണങ്ങളുടെമേലും ജെറുശലേം വീഥികളിലും ചൊരിഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ ഇന്ന് ആയിരിക്കുന്ന നിലയിൽ അവ നാശത്തിനും ശൂന്യതയ്ക്കും ഇരയായിത്തീർന്നു.

7 and now thus to say LORD God Hosts God Israel to/for what? you(m. p.) to make distress: evil great: large to(wards) soul: myself your to/for to cut: eliminate to/for you man and woman infant and to suckle from midst Judah to/for lest to remain to/for you remnant

“അതിനാൽ ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നിങ്ങൾക്കു ശേഷിപ്പായി ആരും ഉണ്ടാകാതിരിക്കുംവിധം, യെഹൂദയിൽനിന്നുള്ള പുരുഷന്മാരെയും സ്ത്രീകളെയും മക്കളെയും മുലകുടിക്കുന്ന കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെയും ഛേദിച്ചുകളയുമാറ്, നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങൾക്കുതന്നെ ദോഷം വരുത്തുന്നത് എന്തുകൊണ്ട്?

നിങ്ങൾ താൽക്കാലികമായി വസിക്കാൻ വന്നിരിക്കുന്ന ഈജിപ്റ്റിലെ അന്യദേവതകളെ നിങ്ങളുടെ കൈകളാൽ നിർമിച്ച് അവയ്ക്കു ധൂപാർപ്പണംചെയ്തുകൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ കുപിതനാക്കുകയും അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങൾ സ്വയം നശിക്കുകയും ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലജനതകളുടെയും മധ്യത്തിൽ ഒരു ശാപവും നിന്ദയുമാകാൻ സ്വയം ഇടവരുത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതെന്തുകൊണ്ട്?

യെഹൂദാദേശത്തും ജെറുശലേമിന്റെ വീഥികളിലും നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർ ചെയ്ത ദുഷ്ടതയും യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാരും അവരുടെ ഭാര്യമാരുംചെയ്ത ദുഷ്ടതയും നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്വന്തം ദുഷ്ടതയും നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭാര്യമാരുടെ ദുഷ്ടതയും നിങ്ങൾ മറന്നുകളഞ്ഞോ?

ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽ പാർക്കാൻ വന്നിട്ടുള്ള യെഹൂദ്യയിലെ ശേഷിപ്പിൽ ആരുംതന്നെ രക്ഷപ്പെടുകയോ യെഹൂദാദേശത്തേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോകാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ശേഷിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യുകയില്ല. അവിടേക്കു മടങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു ജീവിക്കാൻ അവർ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുമെങ്കിലും ഏതാനും ചില പലായിതർ ഒഴികെ ആരും മടങ്ങിപ്പോകുകയില്ല.”

അപ്പോൾ തങ്ങളുടെ ഭാര്യമാർ അന്യദേവതകൾക്കു ധൂപം കാട്ടുന്നുണ്ട് എന്ന കാര്യം അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്ന സകലപുരുഷന്മാരും അവരോടൊപ്പം നിന്നിരുന്ന—ഒരു വലിയകൂട്ടം—സ്ത്രീകളും ഉത്തര ഈജിപ്റ്റിലും പത്രോസുദേശത്തും വന്നു താമസിച്ചിരുന്ന എല്ലാ ജനങ്ങളും യിരെമ്യാവിനോട് ഇപ്രകാരം മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു:

17 for to make: do to make: do [obj] all [the] word: thing which to come out: speak from lip our to/for to offer: offer to/for queen [the] heaven and to pour to/for her drink offering like/as as which to make: do we and father our king our and ruler our in/on/with city Judah and in/on/with outside Jerusalem and to satisfy food and to be pleasant and distress: harm not to see: see

ആകാശരാജ്ഞിക്കു ധൂപംകാട്ടുന്നതിനും അവൾക്കു പാനീയബലി അർപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനും വേണ്ടി ഞങ്ങൾ സ്വന്തം വായാൽ നേർന്നിട്ടുള്ള കാര്യങ്ങളൊക്കെയും ഞങ്ങൾ നിശ്ചയമായും നിറവേറ്റും. ഞങ്ങളും ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരും ഞങ്ങളുടെ രാജാക്കന്മാരും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും യെഹൂദാനഗരങ്ങളിലും ജെറുശലേമിന്റെ തെരുവീഥികളിലും ചെയ്തുപോന്നിട്ടുള്ള വിധത്തിൽ തന്നെ. അന്നു ഞങ്ങൾക്കു വേണ്ടുവോളം ആഹാരമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ഞങ്ങൾ ക്ഷേമമായി ജീവിച്ചു. ഒരാപത്തും ഞങ്ങൾക്കു ഭവിച്ചതുമില്ല.

18 and from the past to cease to/for to offer: offer to/for queen [the] heaven and to pour to/for her drink offering to lack all and in/on/with sword and in/on/with famine to finish

എന്നാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ആകാശരാജ്ഞിക്കു ധൂപം കാട്ടുന്നതും അവൾക്കു പാനീയബലി അർപ്പിക്കുന്നതും നിർത്തിയതുമുതൽ ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് എല്ലാറ്റിനും ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടായി; വാൾകൊണ്ടും ക്ഷാമംകൊണ്ടും ഞങ്ങൾക്കു നാശം സംഭവിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.”

ആ സ്ത്രീകൾ ഇതുംകൂടി ചോദിച്ചു, “ഞങ്ങൾ ആകാശരാജ്ഞിക്കു ധൂപംകാട്ടുകയും പാനീയബലി പകരുകയും ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ, അവളുടെ രൂപത്തിൽ അടകൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കുകയും അവൾക്കു പാനീയബലി അർപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തത് ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഭർത്താക്കന്മാരുടെ അറിവുകൂടാതെയോ?”

അപ്പോൾ യിരെമ്യാവ് ആ ജനത്തോടെല്ലാം, പുരുഷന്മാരും സ്ത്രീകളും ഉൾപ്പെടെ തന്നോട് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞ സകലജനത്തോടുംതന്നെ, ചോദിച്ചത്:

“നിങ്ങളും നിങ്ങളുടെ പൂർവികരും നിങ്ങളുടെ രാജാക്കന്മാരും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും ദേശത്തുള്ള ജനവും യെഹൂദ്യയിലെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും ജെറുശലേമിന്റെ വീഥികളിലും ധൂപം കാട്ടിയത് യഹോവ ഓർത്തിട്ടില്ലേ? അതൊക്കെയും അവിടത്തെ മനസ്സിൽ വന്നിട്ടില്ലേ?

22 and not be able LORD still to/for to lift: bear from face: because evil deed your from face: because [the] abomination which to make and to be land: country/planet your to/for desolation and to/for horror: destroyed and to/for curse from nothing to dwell like/as [the] day: today [the] this

അതിനാൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളുടെ ദോഷവും നിങ്ങൾ ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ള മ്ലേച്ഛതകളും യഹോവയ്ക്കു സഹിക്കാൻ കഴിയാതെയായി. അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേശം നിവാസികളില്ലാതെ ഇന്ന് ആയിരിക്കുന്ന നിലയിൽ ശൂന്യവും ശാപഹേതുവും ആയിത്തീർന്നു.

നിങ്ങൾ യഹോവയുടെ വചനം അനുസരിക്കാതെയും അവിടത്തെ ന്യായപ്രമാണവും ചട്ടങ്ങളും സാക്ഷ്യങ്ങളും പ്രമാണിക്കാതെയും ധൂപംകാട്ടി യഹോവയോടു പാപംചെയ്തിരിക്കുകയാൽ ഇന്ന് ഈ ആപത്തു നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഭവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.”

ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ‘ആകാശരാജ്ഞിക്കു ധൂപംകാട്ടുന്നതിനും പാനീയബലി അർപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനും ഞങ്ങൾ നേർന്നിട്ടുള്ള നേർച്ചകൾ നിശ്ചയമായും ഞങ്ങൾ നിറവേറ്റും.’ എന്നിങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളും നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭാര്യമാരും വാകൊണ്ടു സംസാരിക്കുകയും കൈകൊണ്ട് അത് അനുഷ്ഠിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. “നിങ്ങളുടെ നേർച്ച ഉറപ്പാക്കിക്കൊൾക! അതു നിറവേറ്റുകയും ചെയ്യുക!

I to swear in/on/with name my [the] great: large to say LORD if: surely no to be still name my to call: call to in/on/with lip all man Judah to say alive Lord YHWH/God in/on/with all land: country/planet Egypt

അതുകൊണ്ട് ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽ പാർക്കുന്ന സകല യെഹൂദാജനമേ, യഹോവയുടെ വചനം കേൾക്കുക: ‘ഈജിപ്റ്റുദേശത്തു പാർക്കുന്ന ഒരു യെഹൂദനും നാവെടുത്തു “ജീവിക്കുന്ന യഹോവയായ കർത്താവാണെ,” എന്ന് എന്റെ നാമം ഉച്ചരിക്കുകയോ ശപഥംചെയ്യുകയോ ഇല്ലെന്ന് എന്റെ മഹത്തായ നാമത്തിൽ ഞാൻ ശപഥംചെയ്യുന്നു എന്ന് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്.

ഞാൻ നന്മയ്ക്കായിട്ടല്ല, തിന്മയ്ക്കായിത്തന്നെ അവരുടെമേൽ ദൃഷ്ടിവെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ഈജിപ്റ്റുദേശത്തു വസിക്കുന്ന സകല യെഹൂദ്യരും നിശ്ശേഷം ഒടുങ്ങിപ്പോകുംവരെ വാൾകൊണ്ടും ക്ഷാമംകൊണ്ടും നശിക്കും.

വാളിൽനിന്നും തെറ്റിയൊഴിയുന്ന ചുരുക്കം ചിലർമാത്രം ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽനിന്ന് യെഹൂദാദേശത്തേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോകും. അന്ന് ഈജിപ്റ്റുദേശത്തു വന്നുപാർക്കുന്ന ശേഷം യെഹൂദ്യർ ഒക്കെയും എന്റെ വാക്കോ അവരുടേതോ ഏതു നിറവേറി എന്നറിയും.

29 and this to/for you [the] sign: miraculous utterance LORD for to reckon: punish I upon you in/on/with place [the] this because to know for to arise: establish to arise: establish word my upon you to/for distress: harm

“‘ഈ സ്ഥലത്തു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ശിക്ഷിക്കാൻ പോകുന്നു എന്നതിന് ഇതു നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ഒരു ചിഹ്നമായിരിക്കും.’ എന്ന് യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു, ‘അങ്ങനെ എന്റെ വചനം നിങ്ങൾക്കു തിന്മയ്ക്കായി നിറവേറുമെന്ന് നിങ്ങൾ അറിയും.’

30 thus to say LORD look! യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ‘ഞാൻ യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ സിദെക്കീയാവിനെ അവന്റെ ശത്രുവും അവനു ജീവഹാനി വരുത്താൻ നോക്കിയവനുമായ ബാബേൽരാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിന്റെ കൈയിൽ ഏൽപ്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ഈജിപ്റ്റുരാജാവായ ഫറവോൻ ഹോഫ്റയെയും അവന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെയും അവനു പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്താൻ നോക്കുന്നവരുടെ കൈയിൽ ഏൽപ്പിക്കും.’”
