Jeremiah 40
1 [the] word which to be to(wards) Jeremiah from with LORD after to send: let go [obj] him Nebuzaradan chief guard from [the] Ramah in/on/with to take: take he [obj] him and he/she/it to bind in/on/with chains in/on/with midst all captivity Jerusalem and Judah [the] to reveal: remove Babylon [to]
राज्यपाल गेदालिया के आवास में से अंगरक्षकों के प्रधान नेबुज़रादान ने जब येरेमियाह को येरूशलेम तथा यहूदिया के सारे बंदियों के बीच जंजीरों से बंधा हुआ देखा जिन्हें बाबेल ले जाया जा रहा था, तब उसने उसे रामाह में विमुक्त कर दिया. उस समय याहवेह का संदेश येरेमियाह को प्रगट किया गया.
2 and to take: take chief guard to/for Jeremiah and to say to(wards) him LORD God your to speak: promise [obj] [the] distress: harm [the] this to(wards) [the] place [the] this
अंगरक्षकों के प्रधान ने येरेमियाह को अलग ले जाकर कहा, “याहवेह, आपके ही परमेश्वर ने इस स्थान के विरुद्ध यह घोर विपत्ति योजित की थी.
3 and to come (in): fulfill and to make: do LORD like/as as which to speak: speak for to sin to/for LORD and not to hear: obey in/on/with voice his and to be to/for you ([the] word: thing *Q(K)*) [the] this
अब याहवेह ने जैसी पूर्ववाणी की थी; उसे ही बनाकर दिखाया है. क्योंकि आप लोगों ने ही तो याहवेह के विरुद्ध पाप किया है, आप लोगों ने उनके आदेशों का पालन नहीं किया, इसलिये आप पर यह विपत्ति टूट पड़ी है.
4 and now behold to open you [the] day from [the] chains which upon hand your if be pleasing in/on/with eye: appearance your to/for to come (in): come with me Babylon to come (in): come and to set: consider [obj] eye: appearance my upon you and if be evil in/on/with eye: appearance your to/for to come (in): come with me Babylon to cease to see: see all [the] land: country/planet to/for face: before your to(wards) pleasant and to(wards) [the] upright in/on/with eye: appearance your to/for to go: went there [to] to go: went
किंतु अब देखिए, आज मैं आपको आपके हाथों में पड़ी हुई इन बेड़ियों से विमुक्त कर रहा हूं, यदि आपको उपयुक्त लगे, आप मेरे साथ बाबेल चल सकते हैं, आपकी देखभाल का दायित्व मेरा होगा; किंतु यदि आप मेरे साथ बाबेल चलना उपयुक्त न समझें तो, आपकी इच्छा, आपके समक्ष संपूर्ण देश खुला पड़ा है; आपको जो स्थान अनुकूल लगे वहीं चले जाइए.”

इसलिये कि येरेमियाह वहां अनिश्चय की स्थिति में ही ठहरे हुए थे, नेबुज़रादान ने उनसे कहा, “अच्छा, तो आप शापान के पौत्र अहीकाम के पुत्र गेदालियाह के पास लौट जाइए, जिसे बाबेल के राजा ने यहूदिया के नगरों पर राज्यपाल नियुक्त किया है, आप गेदालियाह के यहां अपने ही लोगों के मध्य निवास कीजिए. यदि नहीं, तो आपको जहां कहीं उपयुक्त लगे वहीं चले जाइए.” इसके बाद अंगरक्षकों के प्रधान ने येरेमियाह को कुछ अन्न पदार्थ तथा एक उपहार देकर उन्हें विदा किया.

येरेमियाह वहां से मिज़पाह में अहीकाम के पुत्र गेदालियाह के यहां जाकर उस देश में शेष रह गए लोगों के मध्य निवास करने लगे.
7 and to hear: hear all ruler [the] strength: soldiers which in/on/with land: country they(masc.) and human their for to reckon: overseer king Babylon [obj] Gedaliah son: child Ahikam in/on/with land: country/planet and for to reckon: overseer with him human and woman and child and from poor [the] land: country/planet from whence not to reveal: remove Babylon [to]
जब युद्ध क्षेत्र में सारे सेनापतियों तथा सैनिकों को यह सूचना प्राप्त हुई कि बाबेल के राजा ने अहीकाम के पुत्र गेदालियाह को संपूर्ण देश तथा उन पुरुषों, स्त्रियों तथा बालकों पर, जो देश में गरीब थे तथा जो बाबेल में बंदी नहीं किए गए थे, अधिपति नियुक्त कर दिया है,
8 and to come (in): come to(wards) Gedaliah [the] Mizpah [to] and Ishmael son: child Nethaniah and Johanan and Jonathan son: child Kareah and Seraiah son: child Tanhumeth and son: child (Ephai *Q(K)*) [the] Netophathite and Jezaniah son: child [the] Maacathite they(masc.) and human their
वे मिज़पाह में गेदालियाह से भेंट करने आ गए. उनके साथ थे नेथनियाह का पुत्र इशमाएल, कोरियाह के पुत्र योहानन तथा योनातन, तनहूमेथ का पुत्र सेराइयाह, नेतोफ़ातवासी एफाई के पुत्र, माकाहथिवासी का पुत्र येत्सानियाह, दोनों ही तथा उनकी सैनिक टुकड़ी.
9 and to swear to/for them Gedaliah son: child Ahikam son: child Shaphan and to/for human their to/for to say not to fear from to serve [the] Chaldea to dwell in/on/with land: country/planet and to serve [obj] king Babylon and be good to/for you
यह सब देखते हुए शापान के पौत्र, अहीकाम के पुत्र, गेदालियाह ने उनके तथा सैनिकों के समक्ष यह कहते हुए शपथ ली: “कसदियों की सेवा करने का विचार तुम्हें भयभीत न करे, इसी देश में निवास करते हुए बाबेल के राजा की सेवा करते रहो, कि तुम्हारा हित हो.
10 and I look! I to dwell in/on/with Mizpah to/for to stand: stand to/for face: before [the] Chaldea which to come (in): come to(wards) us and you(m. p.) to gather wine and summer and oil and to set: put in/on/with article/utensil your and to dwell in/on/with city your which to capture
मैं तो मिज़पाह में ही रहूंगा, कि मैं तुम्हारी सहायता में खड़ा रह सकूं, कि मैं उन कसदियों के लिए तुम्हारा प्रवक्ता हो सकूं जो अपना प्रतिवाद लेकर मेरे पास आए थे, किंतु तुम द्राक्षारस, ग्रीष्मकालीन फल एवं तेल का संग्रहण करते रहना, उन्हें भंडारण बर्तनों में रख देना, अपने-अपने नगरों में निवास करना, जिन्हें अब तुमने अपना लिया है.”
11 and also all [the] Jew which in/on/with Moab and in/on/with son: child Ammon and in/on/with Edom and which in/on/with all [the] land: country/planet to hear: hear for to give: give king Babylon remnant to/for Judah and for to reckon: overseer upon them [obj] Gedaliah son: child Ahikam son: child Shaphan
इसी प्रकार वे सभी यहूदियों ने जो इस समय मोआब, अम्मोन, एदोम तथा अन्य देशों में निवास करने लगे थे, यह सुना कि बाबेल के राजा ने यहूदिया में कुछ लोगों को छोड़ दिया है, तथा यह, कि उसने उन पर शापान के पौत्र, अहीकाम के पुत्र गेदालियाह को अधिपति नियुक्त कर दिया है,
12 and to return: return all [the] Jew from all [the] place which to banish there and to come (in): come land: country/planet Judah to(wards) Gedaliah [the] Mizpah [to] and to gather wine and summer to multiply much
तब सभी स्थानों से सारे यहूदी लौटकर आने लगे, जहां उन्हें खदेड़ दिया गया था, वे यहूदिया देश में आए तथा मिज़पाह में गेदालियाह से भेंट करने गए. उन्होंने बड़ी मात्रा में द्राक्षारस एवं ग्रीष्मकालीन फलों का भंडारण कर डाला.
13 and Johanan son: child Kareah and all ruler [the] strength: soldiers which in/on/with land: country to come (in): come to(wards) Gedaliah [the] Mizpah [to]
तब कोरियाह का पुत्र योहानन तथा रणभूमि में सैनिकों के सारे सेनापति मिज़पाह में गेदालियाह से भेंट करने आए.
14 and to say to(wards) him to know to know for Baalis king son: child Ammon to send: depart [obj] Ishmael son: child Nethaniah to/for to smite you soul: life and not be faithful to/for them Gedaliah son: child Ahikam
उन्होंने उससे कहा, “क्या आपको यह संज्ञान है कि अम्मोन के वंशजों के राजा बालिस ने नेथनियाह के पुत्र इशमाएल को आपकी हत्या के उद्देश्य से भेजा है?” किंतु अहीकाम के पुत्र गेदालियाह ने उनका विश्वास ही नहीं किया.
15 and Johanan son: child Kareah to say to(wards) Gedaliah in/on/with secrecy in/on/with Mizpah to/for to say to go: went please and to smite [obj] Ishmael son: child Nethaniah and man: anyone not to know to/for what? to smite you soul: life and to scatter all Judea [the] to gather to(wards) you and to perish remnant Judea
तब कोरियाह के पुत्र योहानन ने मिज़पाह में अकेले में जाकर गेदालियाह के समक्ष यह प्रस्ताव रखा, “मुझे अनुमति दीजिए, कि मैं जाकर नेथनियाह के पुत्र इशमाएल का वध कर दूं. किसी को भी इसके विषय में ज्ञात न हो सकेगा, हम क्यों उसे आपकी हत्या का अवसर दें? अन्यथा आपकी शरण में आए ये सारे यहूदी पुनः बिखर जाएंगे तथा यहूदिया का बचा हुआ शेष नष्ट हो जाएगा?”
16 and to say Gedaliah son: child Ahikam to(wards) Johanan son: child Kareah not (to make: do *Q(k)*) [obj] [the] word: thing [the] this for deception you(m. s.) to speak: speak to(wards) Ishmael
किंतु अहीकाम के पुत्र गेदालियाह ने उससे कहा, “इशमाएल के विषय में तुम्हारा यह वचन असत्य है! मत करो उसकी हत्या.”
