< Jeremiah 25 >

1 [the] word which to be upon Jeremiah upon all people Judah in/on/with year [the] fourth to/for Jehoiakim son: child Josiah king Judah he/she/it [the] year [the] first to/for Nebuchadnezzar king Babylon
The word of the Lord, that was maad to Jeremye, of al the puple of Juda, in the fourthe yeer of Joachym, the sone of Josie, the king of Juda, aftir that Jeconye was translatid in to Babiloyne; thilke is the firste yeer of Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne; which word Jeremy,
2 which to speak: speak Jeremiah [the] prophet upon all people Judah and to(wards) all to dwell Jerusalem to/for to say
the prophete, spak to al the puple of Juda, and to alle the dwelleris of Jerusalem, and seide,
3 from three ten year to/for Josiah son: child Amon king Judah and till [the] day: today [the] this this three and twenty year to be word LORD to(wards) me and to speak: speak to(wards) you to rise and to speak: speak and not to hear: hear
Fro the threttenthe yeer of the rewme of Josie, the sone of Amon, the kyng of Juda, `til to this dai, this is the three and twentithe yeer, the word of the Lord was maad to me; and Y spak to you, and Y roos bi niyt and spak, and ye herden not.
4 and to send: depart LORD to(wards) you [obj] all servant/slave his [the] prophet to rise and to send: depart and not to hear: hear and not to stretch [obj] ear your to/for to hear: hear
And the Lord sente to you alle hise seruauntis profetis, and roos ful eerli, and sente, and ye herden not, nether ye bowiden youre eeris, for to here;
5 to/for to say to return: repent please man: anyone from way: conduct his [the] bad: evil and from evil deed your and to dwell upon [the] land: soil which to give: give LORD to/for you and to/for father your to/for from forever: antiquity and till forever: enduring
whanne he seide, Turne ye ayen, ech man fro his yuel weie, and fro youre worste thouytis, and ye schulen dwelle in the lond whiche the Lord yaf to you, and to youre fadris, fro the world and til in to the world.
6 and not to go: went after God another to/for to serve: minister them and to/for to bow to/for them and not to provoke [obj] me in/on/with deed: work hand your and not be evil to/for you
And nyle ye go aftir alien goddis, that ye serue hem, and worschipe hem, nether terre ye me to wrathfulnesse, in the werkis of youre hondis, and Y schal not turmente you.
7 and not to hear: hear to(wards) me utterance LORD because (to provoke me *Q(K)*) in/on/with deed: work hand your to/for bad: evil to/for you
And ye herden not me, seith the Lord, that ye terreden me to wrathfulnesse in the werkis of youre hondis, in to youre yuel.
8 to/for so thus to say LORD Hosts because which not to hear: obey [obj] word my
Therfor the Lord of oostis seith these thingis, For that that ye herden not my wordis, lo!
9 look! I to send: depart and to take: bring [obj] all family north utterance LORD and to(wards) Nebuchadnezzar king Babylon servant/slave my and to come (in): bring them upon [the] land: country/planet [the] this and upon to dwell her and upon all [the] nation [the] these around and to devote/destroy them and to set: make them to/for horror: appalled and to/for hissing and to/for desolation forever: enduring
Y schal sende, and take alle the kynredis of the north, seith the Lord, and Nabugodonosor, my seruaunt, the kyng of Babiloyne; and Y schal bringe hem on this lond, and on the dwelleris therof, and on alle naciouns, that ben in the cumpas therof; and Y schal sle hem, and Y schal sette hem in to wondryng, and in to hissyng, and in to euerlastynge wildirnessis.
10 and to perish from them voice rejoicing and voice joy voice son-in-law and voice daughter-in-law: bride voice: sound millstone and light lamp
And Y schal leese of hem the vois of ioye, and the vois of gladnesse, the vois of spouse, and the vois of spousesse, the vois of queerne, and the liyt of the lanterne.
11 and to be all [the] land: country/planet [the] this to/for desolation to/for horror: destroyed and to serve [the] nation [the] these [obj] king Babylon seventy year
And al the lond therof schal be in to wildirnesse, and in to wondring; and alle these folkis schulen serue the king of Babiloyne seuenti yeer.
12 and to be like/as to fill seventy year to reckon: punish upon king Babylon and upon [the] nation [the] he/she/it utterance LORD [obj] iniquity: crime their and upon land: country/planet Chaldea and to set: make [obj] him to/for devastation forever: enduring
And whanne seuenti yeer ben fillid, Y schal visite on the kyng of Babiloyne, and on that folc the wickidnesse of hem, seith the Lord, and on the lond of Caldeis, and Y schal set it in to euerlastynge wildirnesses.
13 (and to come (in): bring *Q(k)*) upon [the] land: country/planet [the] he/she/it [obj] all word my which to speak: speak upon her [obj] all [the] to write in/on/with scroll: book [the] this which to prophesy Jeremiah upon all [the] nation
And Y schal brynge on that lond alle my wordis whiche Y spak ayens it, al thing that is writun in this book; what euer thingis Jeremye profeside ayens alle folkis;
14 for to serve in/on/with them also they(masc.) nation many and king great: large and to complete to/for them like/as work their and like/as deed: work hand their
for thei serueden to hem, whanne thei weren many folkis, and grete kingis; and Y schal yelde to hem aftir the werkis of hem, and aftir the dedis of her hondis.
15 for thus to say LORD God Israel to(wards) me to take: take [obj] cup [the] wine [the] rage [the] this from hand my and to water: drink [obj] him [obj] all [the] nation which I to send: depart [obj] you to(wards) them
For the Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith thus, Take thou the cuppe of wyn of this woodnesse fro myn hond, and thou schal birle therof to alle hethene men, to whiche Y schal sende thee.
16 and to drink and to shake and to be foolish from face: because [the] sword which I to send: depart between: among them
And thei schulen drynke, and schulen be disturblid, and schulen be woode of the face of swerd, which Y schal sende among hem.
17 and to take: take [obj] [the] cup from hand LORD and to water: drink [obj] all [the] nation which to send: depart me LORD to(wards) them
And Y took the cuppe fro the hond of the Lord, and Y birlide to alle folkis, to whiche the Lord sente me;
18 [obj] Jerusalem and [obj] city Judah and [obj] king her [obj] ruler her to/for to give: make [obj] them to/for desolation to/for horror: destroyed to/for hissing and to/for curse like/as day: today [the] this
to Jerusalem, and to alle the citees of Juda, and to the kyngis therof, and to the princes therof; that Y schulde yyue hem in to wildirnesse, and in to wondring, and in to hissyng, and in to cursing, as this dai is; to Farao,
19 [obj] Pharaoh king Egypt and [obj] servant/slave his and [obj] ruler his and [obj] all people his
the king of Egipt, and to hise seruauntis, and to hise princes, and to al hise puple;
20 and [obj] all [the] racial-mix and [obj] all king land: country/planet [the] Uz and [obj] all king land: country/planet Philistine and [obj] Ashkelon and [obj] Gaza and [obj] Ekron and [obj] remnant Ashdod
and to alle men generali, to alle the kyngis of the lond Ansitidis, and to alle the kyngis of the lond of Filistiym, and to Ascalon, and to Gaza, and to Acoron, and to the residues of Azotus;
21 [obj] Edom and [obj] Moab and [obj] son: descendant/people Ammon
to Idumee, and to Moab, and to the sones of Amon;
22 and [obj] all king Tyre and [obj] all king Sidon and [obj] king [the] coastland which in/on/with side: beyond [the] sea
and to alle the kyngis of Tirus, and to alle the kingis of Sidon, and to the kingis of the lond of ilis that ben biyendis the see;
23 and [obj] Dedan and [obj] Tema and [obj] Buz and [obj] all to cut side
and to Dedan, and Theman, and Buz, and to alle men that ben clippid on the long heer;
24 and [obj] all king Arabia and [obj] all king [the] Arabia [the] to dwell in/on/with wilderness
and to alle the kingis of Arabie, and to alle the kingis of the west, that dwellen in desert;
25 and [obj] all king Zimri and [obj] all king Elam and [obj] all king Media
and to alle the kingis of Zambri, and to alle the kingis of Elam, and to alle the kyngis of Medeis; and to alle the kingis of the north,
26 and [obj] all king [the] north [the] near and [the] distant man: anyone to(wards) brother: compatriot his and [obj] all [the] kingdom [the] land: country/planet which upon face: surface [the] land: planet and king Babylon to drink after them
of niy and of fer, to ech man ayens his brothir; and to alle the rewmes of erthe, that ben on the face therof; and kyng Sesac schal drynke after hem.
27 and to say to(wards) them thus to say LORD Hosts God Israel to drink and be drunk and to vomit and to fall: fall and not to arise: rise from face: because [the] sword which I to send: depart between: among you
And thou schalt seie to hem, The Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, Drynke ye, and be ye drunkun, and spue ye, and falle ye doun, and nyle ye rise fro the face of swerd which Y schal sende among you.
28 and to be for to refuse to/for to take: recieve [the] cup from hand your to/for to drink and to say to(wards) them thus to say LORD Hosts to drink to drink
And whanne thei nylen take the cuppe fro thin hond, that thei drynke, thou schalt seie to hem, The Lord of oostis seith these thingis, Ye drynkynge schulen drynke;
29 for behold in/on/with city which to call: call to name my upon her I to profane/begin: begin to/for be evil and you(m. p.) to clear to clear not to clear for sword I to call: call to upon all to dwell [the] land: country/planet utterance LORD Hosts
for lo! in the citee in which my name is clepid to help, Y bigynne to turmente, and schulen ye as innocentis be with out peyne? ye schulen not be with out peyne, for Y clepe swerd on alle the dwelleris of erthe, seith the Lord of oostis.
30 and you(m. s.) to prophesy to(wards) them [obj] all [the] word [the] these and to say to(wards) them LORD from height to roar and from habitation holiness his to give: cry out voice his to roar to roar upon pasture his shout like/as to tread to sing to(wards) all to dwell [the] land: country/planet
And thou schalt profesie to hem alle these wordis, and thou schalt seie to hem, The Lord schal rore fro an hiy, and fro his hooli dwellyng place he schal yyue his vois; he rorynge schal rore on his fairnesse; a myry song, as of men tredynge in pressouris, schal be sungun ayens alle dwelleris of erthe.
31 to come (in): come roar till end [the] land: country/planet for strife to/for LORD in/on/with nation to judge he/she/it to/for all flesh [the] wicked to give: put them to/for sword utterance LORD
Sown is comun til to the laste partis of erthe, for whi doom is to the Lord with folkis, he is demed with ech fleisch; the Lord seith, Y haue youe wickid men to the swerd.
32 thus to say LORD Hosts behold distress: harm to come out: come from nation to(wards) nation and tempest great: large to rouse from flank land: country/planet
The Lord of oostis seith these thingis, Lo! turment schal go out fro folk in to folk, and a greet whirlwynd schal go out fro the endis of erthe.
33 and to be slain: killed LORD in/on/with day [the] he/she/it from end [the] land: country/planet and till end [the] land: country/planet not to mourn and not to gather and not to bury to/for dung upon face: surface [the] land: soil to be
And the slayn men of the Lord schulen be in that dai fro the ende of the erthe `til to the ende therof; thei schulen not be biweilid, nether schulen be gaderid togidere, nether schulen be biried; thei schulen ligge in to a dunghil on the face of erthe.
34 to wail [the] to pasture and to cry out and to wallow great [the] flock for to fill day your to/for to slaughter and dispersion your and to fall: fall like/as article/utensil desire
Yelle, ye scheepherdis, and crye, and, ye princypals of the floc, bispreynge you with aische; for youre daies ben fillid, that ye be slayn, and youre scateryngis ben fillid, and ye schulen falle as precious vessels.
35 and to perish refuge from [the] to pasture and survivor from great [the] flock
And fleyng schal perische fro scheepherdis, and sauyng schal perische fro the principals of the floc.
36 voice cry [the] to pasture and wailing great [the] flock for to ruin LORD [obj] pasturing their
The vois of the crye of scheepherdis, and the yellyng of the principals of the floc, for the Lord hath wastid the lesewis of hem.
37 and to silence: destroyed habitation [the] peace from face: because burning anger face: anger LORD
And the feeldis of pees weren stille, for the face of wraththe of the strong veniaunce of the Lord.
38 to leave: forsake like/as lion lair his for to be land: country/planet their to/for horror: destroyed from face: because burning anger [the] to oppress and from face: because burning anger face: anger his
He as a lion hath forsake his tabernacle, for the lond of hem is maad in to desolacioun, of the face of wraththe of the culuer, and of the face of wraththe of the strong veniaunce of the Lord.
