൧യഹോവ എന്നോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തത്: “മോശെയും ശമൂവേലും എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നിന്നാലും എന്റെ മനസ്സ് ഈ ജനത്തിലേക്കു ചായുകയില്ല; ഇവരെ എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്ന് ആട്ടിക്കളയുക; അവർ പൊയ്ക്കൊള്ളട്ടെ.

൨‘ഞങ്ങൾ എവിടേയ്ക്കു പോകണം’ എന്ന് അവർ നിന്നോട് ചോദിച്ചാൽ നീ അവരോട്: മരണത്തിനുള്ളവർ മരണത്തിനും വാളിനുള്ളവർ വാളിനും ക്ഷാമത്തിനുള്ളവർ ക്ഷാമത്തിനും പ്രവാസത്തിനുള്ളവർ പ്രവാസത്തിനും പൊയ്ക്കൊള്ളട്ടെ’ എന്ന് യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു” എന്നു പറയുക.

൩“ഞാൻ നാലുതരം നാശങ്ങളെ അവരുടെ മേൽ നിയമിക്കും; കൊന്നുകളയുവാൻ വാളും കടിച്ചുകീറുവാൻ നായ്ക്കളും തിന്നുമുടിക്കുവാൻ ആകാശത്തിലെ പക്ഷികളും കാട്ടിലെ മൃഗങ്ങളും തന്നെ” എന്ന് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്.

൫യെരൂശലേമേ, ആർക്ക് നിന്നോട് കനിവുതോന്നുന്നു? ആര് നിന്നോട് സഹതാപം കാണിക്കും? നിന്റെ ക്ഷേമം ചോദിക്കുവാൻ ആര് കയറിവരും?

൬നീ എന്നെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു പിൻമാറിയിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്ന് യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; “അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ നിന്റെനേരെ കൈ നീട്ടി നിന്നെ നശിപ്പിക്കും; ഞാൻ കരുണ കാണിച്ച് മടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

൭ദേശത്തിന്റെ പടിവാതിലുകളിൽ ഞാൻ അവരെ വീശുമുറംകൊണ്ടു വീശിക്കളഞ്ഞു; ഞാൻ എന്റെ ജനത്തെ മക്കളില്ലാത്തവരാക്കി നശിപ്പിച്ചു: എങ്കിലും അവർ അവരുടെ വഴികളെ വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞില്ല.

൧൦എന്റെ അമ്മേ, സർവ്വദേശത്തിനും കലഹക്കാരനും വിവാദക്കാരനും ആയിരിക്കുന്ന എന്നെ നീ പ്രസവിച്ചുവല്ലോ, അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! ഞാൻ പലിശയ്ക്കു കൊടുത്തിട്ടില്ല; എനിക്ക് ആരും പലിശ തന്നിട്ടുമില്ല; എന്നിട്ടും അവരെല്ലാവരും എന്നെ ശപിക്കുന്നു.

൧൧യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തത്: “ഞാൻ നിന്നെ നന്മയ്ക്കായി രക്ഷിക്കും നിശ്ചയം; അനർത്ഥകാലത്തും കഷ്ടകാലത്തും ഞാൻ ശത്രുവിനെക്കൊണ്ടു നിന്നോട് യാചിപ്പിക്കും നിശ്ചയം.

൧൨താമ്രവും ഇരിമ്പും വടക്കൻഇരിമ്പും ഒടിഞ്ഞുപോകുമോ?

൧൩നിന്റെ ദേശത്തെല്ലായിടവും നിന്റെ സകലപാപങ്ങളും നിമിത്തം നിന്റെ സമ്പത്തും നിക്ഷേപങ്ങളും ഞാൻ വിലവാങ്ങാതെ കവർച്ചയ്ക്ക് ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കും.

൧൪നീ അറിയാത്ത ദേശത്ത് ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ശത്രുക്കളെ സേവിക്കുമാറാക്കും; എന്റെ കോപത്തിൽ ഒരു തീ ജ്വലിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അത് നിങ്ങളുടെമേൽ കത്തും”.

൧൫യഹോവേ, അങ്ങ് അറിയുന്നു; എന്നെ ഓർത്തു സന്ദർശിക്കണമേ; എന്നെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കുന്നവരോടു പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്യണമേ; അങ്ങയുടെ ദീർഘക്ഷമയിൽ എന്നെ എടുത്തുകളയരുതേ; അങ്ങ് നിമിത്തം ഞാൻ നിന്ദ സഹിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് ഓർക്കണമേ;

൧൮എന്റെ വേദന നിരന്തരവും എന്റെ മുറിവ് സൗഖ്യം പ്രാപിക്കാത്തവണ്ണം വിഷമവും ആയിരിക്കുന്നതെന്ത്? അങ്ങ് എനിക്ക് ചതിക്കുന്ന തോടും വറ്റിപ്പോകുന്ന വെള്ളവും പോലെ ആയിരിക്കുമോ?

൧൯അതുകൊണ്ട് യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “നീ മടങ്ങിവന്നാൽ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നില്ക്കുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം വീണ്ടും കൈക്കൊള്ളും; നീ അധമമായത് ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച്, ഉത്തമമായത് പ്രസ്താവിച്ചാൽ നീ എന്റെ വായ് പോലെ ആകും; അവർ നിന്റെ പക്ഷം തിരിയും; നീ അവരുടെ പക്ഷം തിരിയുകയില്ല.

൨൧“ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്ന് വിടുവിക്കുകയും ഭീകരന്മാരുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്ന് വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളുകയും ചെയ്യും”.
