2 all joy to govern brother me when(-ever) temptation/testing: testing to fall upon various
| ܟܠ ܚܕܘܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܐܚܝ ܟܕ ܬܥܠܘܢ ܠܢܤܝܘܢܐ ܡܫܚܠܦܐ ܘܤܓܝܐܐ |
3 to know that/since: that the/this/who testing you the/this/who faith to workout/produce perseverance

| ܕܢܚ ܓܝܪ ܫܡܫܐ ܒܚܘܡܗ ܘܡܘܒܫ ܠܗ ܠܥܤܒܐ ܘܗܒܒܗ ܢܦܠ ܘܫܘܦܪܐ ܕܚܙܘܗ ܐܒܕ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܥܬܝܪܐ ܚܡܐ ܒܗܘܦܟܘܗܝ |

| ܘܗܕܐ ܪܓܬܐ ܒܛܢܐ ܘܝܠܕܐ ܚܛܝܬܐ ܚܛܝܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܡܐ ܕܐܬܓܡܪܬ ܝܠܕܐ ܡܘܬܐ |
16 not to lead astray brother me beloved

21 therefore to put aside all filth and excess evil in/on/among gentleness to receive the/this/who implanted/ingrafted word the/this/who be able to save the/this/who soul you
| ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܐܪܚܩܘ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܟܠܗ ܛܢܦܘܬܐ ܘܤܘܓܐܐ ܕܒܝܫܘܬܐ ܘܒܡܟܝܟܘܬܐ ܩܒܠܘ ܡܠܬܐ ܕܢܨܝܒܐ ܒܟܝܢܢ ܕܗܝ ܡܫܟܚܐ ܕܬܚܐ ܐܢܝܢ ܢܦܫܬܟܘܢ |
22 to be then doer word and not alone hearer to deceive themself
| ܗܘܘ ܕܝܢ ܥܒܘܕܐ ܕܡܠܬܐ ܘܠܐ ܫܡܘܥܐ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܘܠܐ ܬܛܥܘܢ ܢܦܫܬܟܘܢ |
23 that/since: since if one hearer word to be and no doer this/he/she/it to resemble man to observe the/this/who face the/this/who origin it/s/he in/on/among mirror
| ܐܢ ܐܢܫ ܓܝܪ ܢܗܘܐ ܫܡܘܥܗ ܕܡܠܬܐ ܘܠܐ ܥܒܘܕܗ ܗܢܐ ܕܡܐ ܠܗܘ ܕܚܙܐ ܐܦܘܗܝ ܒܡܚܙܝܬܐ |
24 to observe for themself and to go away and immediately to forget what sort? to be
| ܚܙܐ ܓܝܪ ܢܦܫܗ ܘܥܒܪ ܘܛܥܐ ܕܐܝܟܢܐ ܗܘܐ |
25 the/this/who then to stoop toward law perfect the/this/who the/this/who freedom and to continue (this/he/she/it *k*) no hearer forgetfulness to be but doer work this/he/she/it blessed in/on/among the/this/who to do/make: do it/s/he to be
| ܟܠ ܕܝܢ ܕܚܪ ܒܢܡܘܤܐ ܡܫܠܡܢܐ ܕܚܐܪܘܬܐ ܘܩܘܝ ܒܗ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܫܡܘܥܐ ܕܫܡܥܐ ܕܡܬܛܥܐ ܐܠܐ ܥܒܘܕܐ ܕܥܒܕܐ ܘܗܢܐ ܛܘܒܢܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܒܥܒܕܗ |
26 if one to think religious to exist (in/on/among you *K*) not to bridle tongue (it/s/he *NK(o)*) but to trick heart (it/s/he *NK(o)*) this/he/she/it futile the/this/who religion

27 religion clean and pure from/with/beside the/this/who God and father this/he/she/it to be to visit/care for orphan and widow in/on/among the/this/who pressure it/s/he spotless themself to keep: protect away from the/this/who world
