Isaiah 55
1 woe! all thirsty to go: come to/for water and which nothing to/for him silver: money to go: come to buy grain and to eat and to go: come to buy grain in/on/with not silver: money and in/on/with not price wine and milk
"Auf! All ihr Dürstenden, geht hin zum Wasser! Auch ihr, die ihr kein Silber habt! Auf! Kaufet, esset! Auf! Kauft ohne Geld umsonst jetzt Wein und Milch!

Was zahlt ihr Geld für das, was keine Nahrung ist, und was ihr euch gespart, für das, was nimmer sättigt? Auf mich nur hört, dann habt ihr feine Kost und labt euch an dem Fett.

So gönnt mir euer Ohr und kommt zu mir! Hört zu und euer Geist, er lebe wieder auf! - Ein ewig Bündnis schließe ich mit euch, gleich Davids Gnaden, die für immer währen.

Fürwahr! Zu einem Völkerrichter setze ich ihn ein, zum Völkerherrscher und Gebieter.

Fürwahr! Auch du rufst Heidenvölker her, die du nicht kennst, und Heidenvölker, die von dir nichts wissen. Sie eilen zu dir her, des Herren, deines Gottes, wegen, dem Heiligen Israels zu Ehren, weil er dich verherrlicht."

Suchet den Herrn, da er sich finden läßt! Ihn ruft, da er so nahe ist!

Der Frevler lasse sein Beginnen, der Mann des Unrechts seine Pläne! Zurück zum Herrn, daß er sich seiner wiederum erbarme, zu unserm Gott; denn im Vergeben ist er reich!

Wie Schnee und Regen vom Himmel fallen und nicht mehr dorthin kehren, vielmehr die Erde tränken, befruchten und mit Grün bedecken, dem Sämann Samen geben und Brot dem Essenden,

Zieht aus mit frohem Mut! Ihr werdet ja in Sicherheit geleitet. Die Berge und die Hügel jubeln vor euch her, des Feldes Bäume alle klatschen in die Hände.

Zypressen wachsen statt des Dorngestrüpps und statt der Nesseln Myrten. - Ein Denkmal ist es für den Herrn und eine ewige Inschrift, die nicht schwindet.
