૧કૂશની નદીઓની પેલી પારના, પાંખોના ફફડાટવાળા દેશને અફસોસ;

૨તમે જે સમુદ્રને માર્ગે પાણીની સપાટી પર સરકટનાં વહાણોમાં રાજદૂતો મોકલે છે. ઝડપી સંદેશવાહકો, તમે ઊંચી તથા સુંવાળી પ્રજા પાસે, દૂરની તથા નજીકના ડરનાર લોકો, મજબૂત અને વિજયી પ્રજા પાસે, જેના દેશ નદીઓથી વિભાજિત થયેલા છે, તેની પાસે જાઓ.

૩હે જગતના સર્વ રહેવાસીઓ અને પૃથ્વી પર રહેનારાઓ, પર્વત પર ધ્વજા ઊંચી કરાય, ત્યારે જોજો; અને રણશિંગડું વાગે ત્યારે સાંભળજો.

૪યહોવાહે મને એમ કહ્યું કે, “હું શાંતિથી મારા નિવાસસ્થાનેથી અવલોકન કરીશ, સૂર્યપ્રકાશમાં ઊકળતી ગરમીના જેવો, કાપણીની ગરમીમાં ઝાકળના વાદળ જેવો રહીશ.”

૫કાપણી પહેલાં, જ્યારે ફૂલ પાકીને તેની દ્રાક્ષા થાય છે, ત્યારે તે ધારિયાથી કુમળી ડાળીઓને કાપી નાખશે, તે ફેલાયેલી ડાળીઓને કાપીને દૂર લઈ જશે.
