Hosea 7

Când am voit să vindec pe Israel, atunci nelegiuirea lui Efraim a fost descoperită şi stricăciunea Samariei, fiindcă ei fac înşelăciuni; şi hoţul intră şi ceata de tâlhari pradă afară.

Şi ei nu iau aminte în inimile lor că eu îmi amintesc de toată stricăciunea lor; acum propriile lor fapte i-au înconjurat; ele sunt înaintea feţei mele.
3 in/on/with distress: evil their to rejoice king and in/on/with lie their ruler
Ei înveselesc pe împărat cu stricăciunea lor, şi pe prinţi cu minciunile lor.
4 all their to commit adultery like oven to burn: burn from to bake to cease to rouse from to knead dough till to leaven he
Ei sunt toţi adulteri, ca un cuptor încălzit de brutar, el încetează să se scoale după ce a frământat aluatul până ce este dospit.
5 day king our be weak: ill ruler rage from wine to draw hand his with to mock
În ziua împăratului nostru, prinţii l-au îmbolnăvit cu burdufuri de vin; el şi-a întins mâna cu batjocoritori.

Fiindcă ei şi-au pregătit inima ca un cuptor, în timp ce stăteau la pândă, brutarul lor doarme toată noaptea: dimineaţa arde ca un foc arzând.

Ei toţi sunt fierbinţi ca un cuptor şi au mistuit pe judecătorii lor; toţi împăraţii lor au căzut; niciunul dintre ei nu mă cheamă.

Efraim, el s-a amestecat printre popoare; Efraim este o turtă neîntoarsă.

Străinii i-au mistuit tăria şi el nu ştie; da, peri cărunţi sunt aici şi acolo pe el, totuşi el nu ştie.

Şi mândria lui Israel aduce mărturie înaintea feţei lui; iar ei nu se întorc la DOMNUL Dumnezeul lor, nici nu îl caută în ciuda tuturor acestor lucruri.

Efraim de asemenea este ca un porumbel nechibzuit fără inimă; ei strigă către Egipt, merg la Asiria.

Când vor merge, eu îmi voi întinde plasa asupra lor; îi voi doborî ca pe păsările cerului; îi voi pedepsi, precum a auzit adunarea lor.

Vai lor! Pentru că au fugit de mine. Nimicire lor! Pentru că au încălcat legea împotriva mea; deşi i-am răscumpărat, totuşi au vorbit minciuni împotriva mea.

Şi nu au strigat către mine cu inima lor, când urlau în paturile lor; se adună pentru grâne şi vin şi se răzvrătesc împotriva mea.

Deşi i-am înfăşurat şi le-am întărit braţele, totuşi îşi închipuie ticăloşie împotriva mea.

Ei se întorc, dar nu la cel Preaînalt; ei sunt ca un arc înşelător; prinţii lor vor cădea prin sabie din cauza furiei limbii lor; aceasta va fi batjocura lor în ţara Egiptului.
