Hosea 3

൧അനന്തരം യഹോവ എന്നോട്: “യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കൾ അന്യദേവന്മാരോട് ചേർന്ന് മുന്തിരിയടകൾ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നുവെങ്കിലും യഹോവ അവരെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ, നീ വീണ്ടും ചെന്ന് ഒരു ജാരനാൽ സ്നേഹിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന വ്യഭിചാരിണിയായ സ്ത്രീയെ സ്നേഹിക്കുക” എന്ന് കല്പിച്ചു.

൨അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ അവളെ പതിനഞ്ച് വെള്ളിക്കാശും ഒന്നര ഹോമെർ യവവും വിലകൊടുത്ത് വാങ്ങി അവളോട്:

൩“നീ ബഹുകാലം എന്നോടൊപ്പം അടങ്ങിപ്പാർക്കണം; പരസംഗം ചെയ്യുകയോ മറ്റൊരു പുരുഷന്റെ ഭാര്യയാകുകയോ അരുത്; ഞാനും അങ്ങനെ തന്നെ ചെയ്യും” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.

൪ഈ വിധം യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കൾ ബഹുകാലം രാജാവില്ലാതെയും, പ്രഭുവില്ലാതെയും, യാഗമില്ലാതെയും, പ്രതിഷ്ഠയില്ലാതെയും, എഫോദില്ലാതെയും, ഗൃഹബിംബമില്ലാതെയും ഇരിക്കും.

൫പിന്നെ, യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കൾ മനംതിരിഞ്ഞ് തങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെയും തങ്ങളുടെ രാജാവായ ദാവീദിനെയും അന്വേഷിക്കും; ഭാവികാലത്ത് അവർ ഭയപ്പെട്ട് യഹോവയിലേക്കും അവിടുത്തെ നന്മയിലേക്കും വരും.
