< Hosea 12 >

1 Ephraim to pasture spirit: breath and to pursue east all [the] day lie and violence to multiply and covenant with Assyria to cut: make(covenant) and oil to/for Egypt to conduct
Ephraim hat seine Freude an windigem Treiben und jagt dem Ostwind nach: täglich wird es verlogener und eigenmächtiger; mit Assyrien schließen sie ein Bündnis, und nach Ägypten wird Öl gebracht.
2 and strife to/for LORD with Judah and to/for to reckon: punish upon Jacob like/as way: conduct his like/as deed his to return: pay to/for him
Auch gegen Juda hat der HERR Anklage zu erheben, und er muß Jakob zur Rechenschaft ziehen wegen seines Verhaltens, nach seinem ganzen Tun ihm vergelten.
3 in/on/with belly: womb to assail [obj] brother: male-sibling his and in/on/with strength his to strive with God
Schon im Mutterschoß hat er seines Bruders Ferse gefaßt und in seiner Manneskraft mit Gott gerungen;
4 and to reign to(wards) messenger: angel and be able to weep and be gracious to/for him Bethel Bethel to find him and there to speak: speak with us
er hat mit dem Engel gerungen und die Oberhand behalten, er hat geweint und ihn um Erbarmen angefleht; in Bethel hatte er ihn gefunden und daselbst mit ihm geredet –
5 and LORD God [the] Hosts LORD memorial his
nämlich der HERR, der Gott der Heerscharen, dessen Name ›der HERR‹ ist –:
6 and you(m. s.) in/on/with God your to return: return kindness and justice to keep: careful and to await to(wards) God your continually
»Du wirst in deine Zelte heimkehren! Halte an Liebe und Recht fest und hoffe immerdar auf deinen Gott!«
7 merchant in/on/with hand his balance deceit to/for to oppress to love: lover
Als (echter) Kanaanäer führt er eine falsche Waage in der Hand: er liebt es zu betrügen;
8 and to say Ephraim surely to enrich to find strength to/for me all toil my not to find to/for me iniquity: crime which sin
aber Ephraim sagt: »Ich bin ja doch reich geworden, habe mir ein Vermögen erworben! Bei allem, was ich besitze, wird man mir kein Unrecht nachweisen, das Sünde wäre!«
9 and I LORD God your from land: country/planet Egypt still to dwell you in/on/with tent like/as day meeting: festival
»Ich aber, der HERR, dein Gott vom Lande Ägypten her, will dich noch einmal in Zelten wohnen lassen wie in den Tagen der Festfeier.
10 and to speak: speak upon [the] prophet and I vision to multiply and in/on/with hand: by [the] prophet to resemble
Ich habe doch zu den Propheten geredet, und ich bin es, der sich oftmals durch zahlreiche Gesichte kundgegeben und durch die Propheten in Gleichnissen geredet hat.
11 if Gilead evil: wickedness surely vanity: vain to be in/on/with Gilgal cattle to sacrifice also altar their like/as heap upon furrow field
Wenn sie in Gilead nichtswürdig gewesen sind, so sollen sie auch vernichtet werden; haben sie in Gilgal Stiere geopfert, so sollen auch ihre Altäre (verwüstet und) wie Steinhaufen an den Rainen der Äcker werden!« –
12 and to flee Jacob land: country Aram and to serve Israel in/on/with woman: wife and in/on/with woman: wife to keep: guard
Als Jakob einst ins Gefilde der Aramäer geflohen war, diente Israel als Knecht um ein Weib und hütete die Herden um ein (zweites) Weib;
13 and in/on/with prophet to ascend: establish LORD [obj] Israel from Egypt and in/on/with prophet to keep: guard
und durch einen Propheten hat der HERR die Israeliten aus Ägypten heraufgeführt, und durch einen (anderen) Propheten ist es behütet worden.
14 to provoke Ephraim bitterness and blood his upon him to leave and reproach his to return: pay to/for him lord his
Doch Ephraim hat ihm bittere Kränkung bereitet; so wird denn sein Herr seine Blutschuld an ihm haften lassen und die ihm zugefügte Schmach ihm vergelten!
