Genesis 39
1 and Joseph to go down Egypt [to] and to buy him Potiphar eunuch Pharaoh ruler [the] guard man Egyptian from hand: to [the] Ishmaelite which to go down him there [to]
योसेफलाई मिश्रमा लगियो । अङ्गरक्षकहरूका एक मिश्री कप्तान फारोका अधिकारी पोतीफरले उनलाई इश्माएलीहरूबाट किने ।
2 and to be LORD with Joseph and to be man to prosper and to be in/on/with house: household lord his [the] Egyptian
परमप्रभु योसेफसँग हुनुहुन्थ्यो र उनी एक समृद्ध मानिस भए । उनी आफ्ना मिश्री मालिकका घरमा बस्थे ।
3 and to see: see lord his for LORD with him and all which he/she/it to make: do LORD to prosper in/on/with hand his
परमप्रभु उनीसँग हुनुहुन्छ र उनले गर्ने सबै काममा उनलाई समृद्धि मिल्छ भन्ने कुरा उनको मालिकले देखे ।
4 and to find Joseph favor in/on/with eye: seeing his and to minister [obj] him and to reckon: overseer him upon house: household his and all there to/for him to give: put in/on/with hand: power his
योसेफले तिनको कृपादृष्टि पाए । उनले पोतीफरको सेवा गरे । पोतीफरले योसेफलाई आफ्नो घर र तिनको स्वामित्वमा रहेका सबै कुरामाथि अधिकार दिए, र ती उनको जिम्मामा लगाए ।
5 and to be from the past to reckon: overseer [obj] him in/on/with house: household his and upon all which there to/for him and to bless LORD [obj] house: household [the] Egyptian in/on/with because of Joseph and to be blessing LORD in/on/with all which there to/for him in/on/with house: home and in/on/with land: country
तिनको घर र तिनको स्वामित्वमा रहेका सबै कुरामाथि योसेफलाई अधिकार दिएपछि योसेफको कारण परमप्रभुले त्यस मिश्रीको घरलाई आशिषित् गर्नुभयो । पोतीफरको घर र खेतमा भएका सबै कुरामाथि परमप्रभुको आशिष् रह्यो ।
6 and to leave: forsake all which to/for him in/on/with hand: power Joseph and not to know with him anything that if: except if: except [the] food which he/she/it to eat and to be Joseph beautiful appearance and beautiful appearance
पोतीफरले आफ्ना सबै कुरा योसेफको जिम्मामा दिए । तिनले आफूले खाने भोजनबाहेक अरू कुनै कुराको विषयमा पनि चिन्ता लिनु पर्दैनथ्यो । योसेफ सुन्दर र आकर्षक थिए ।

योसेफका मालिककी पत्नीले उनीप्रति चाहना राखिन् । तिनले भनिन्, “मसँग सुत ।”

उनले इन्कार गरेर आफ्ना मालिककी पत्नीलाई यसो भने, “हेर्नुहोस्, मेरा मालिकले यस घरमा म के गर्छु भन्ने कुराप्रति कुनै चिन्ता गर्नुहुन्न, र उहाँका सबै कुरा उहाँले मेरै जिम्मामा दिनुभएको छ ।
9 nothing he great: large in/on/with house: household [the] this from me and not to withhold from me anything that if: except if: except [obj] you in/on/with in which you(f. s.) woman: wife his and how? to make: do [the] distress: evil [the] great: large [the] this and to sin to/for God
मभन्दा ठुलो यस घरमा कोही छैन । उहाँले तपाईंबाहेक सबै कुरा मलाई दिनुभएको छ, किनभने तपाईं उहाँकी पत्नी हुनुहुन्छ । यसैकारण मैले कसरी यस्तो दुष्ट काम गरी परमेश्वरको विरुद्ध पाप गर्न सक्छु?”
10 and to be like/as to speak: speak she to(wards) Joseph day: daily day: daily and not to hear: hear to(wards) her to/for to lie down: have sex beside her to/for to be with her
तिनले योसेफसँग दिनहुँ कुरा गरिन्, तर उनी तिनीसँग सुत्न वा तिनको नजिक जान इन्कार गरे ।
11 and to be like/as [the] day [the] this and to come (in): come [the] house: home [to] to/for to make: do work his and nothing man: anyone from human [the] house: home there in/on/with house: home
एक दिन उनी आफ्ना काम गर्न घरभित्र प्रवेश गरे । घरभित्र कोही पनि मानिस थिएन ।
12 and to capture him in/on/with garment his to/for to say to lie down: have sex [emph?] with me and to leave: forsake garment his in/on/with hand: power her and to flee and to come out: come [the] outside [to]
तिनले उनको लुगा समातिन् र भनिन्, “मसँग सुत ।” उनले आफ्ना लुगा तिनकै हातमा छोडेर बाहिर भागे ।
13 and to be like/as to see: see she for to leave: forsake garment his in/on/with hand her and to flee [the] outside [to]
जब योसेफ आफ्ना लुगा छोडेर बाहिर भागेका तिनले देखिन्,
14 and to call: call out to/for human house: household her and to say to/for them to/for to say to see: behold! to come (in): bring to/for us man Hebrew to/for to laugh in/on/with us to come (in): come to(wards) me to/for to lie down: have sex with me and to call: call out in/on/with voice great: large
तिनले आफ्ना घरका मानिसहरूलाई बोलाएर भनिन्, “हेर, पोतीफरले हाम्रो बेइज्जत गर्न एउटा हिब्रूलाई ल्याउनुभएको छ । त्यो मकहाँ सुत्न भनेर आयो, अनि म चिच्याएँ ।
15 and to be like/as to hear: hear he for to exalt voice my and to call: call out and to leave: forsake garment his beside me and to flee and to come out: come [the] outside [to]
जब त्यसले म चिच्याएकी सुन्यो, त्यसले आफ्ना लुगा मकहाँ छोडेर बाहिर भाग्यो ।”
16 and to rest garment his beside her till to come (in): come lord his to(wards) house: home his
तिनको मालिक घर नआउन्जेलसम्म तिनले त्यो लुगा आफ्नै साथमा राखिन् ।
17 and to speak: speak to(wards) him like/as word [the] these to/for to say to come (in): come to(wards) me [the] servant/slave [the] Hebrew which to come (in): bring to/for us to/for to laugh in/on/with me
तिनले उनलाई यसरी वर्णन गरिन्, “तपाईंले हाम्रो निम्ति ल्याउनुभएको त्यो हिब्रू नोकर मेरो बेइज्जत गर्न मकहाँ आयो ।
18 and to be like/as to exalt I voice my and to call: call out and to leave: forsake garment his beside me and to flee [the] outside [to]
जब म चिच्याएँ, त्यसले आफ्ना लुगा मकहाँ छोडेर बाहिर भाग्यो ।”
19 and to be like/as to hear: hear lord his [obj] word woman: wife his which to speak: speak to(wards) him to/for to say like/as Chronicles [the] these to make: do to/for me servant/slave your and to be incensed face: anger his
आफ्नो नोकरले आफ्नी पत्नीलाई गरेको व्यवहार आफ्नी पत्नीबाट सुनेपछि तिनी रिसले चुर भए ।
20 and to take: take lord Joseph [obj] him and to give: put him to(wards) house: home [the] prison place which (prisoner *Q(K)*) [the] king to bind and to be there in/on/with house: home [the] prison
योसेफका मालिकले उनलाई झ्यालखानामा राखे जहाँ राजाका कैदीहरू राखिन्थे । उनी त्यही झ्यालखानामा थिए ।
21 and to be LORD with Joseph and to stretch to(wards) him kindness and to give: give favor his in/on/with eye: seeing ruler house: home [the] prison
तर परमप्रभु योसेफसँग हुनुहुन्थ्यो र आफ्ना करारप्रति उहाँ भरोसायोग्य रहनुभयो । झ्यालखानाका हाकिमको नजरमा उहाँले उनलाई कृपादृष्टि दिनुभयो ।
22 and to give: put ruler house: home [the] prison in/on/with hand: power Joseph [obj] all [the] prisoner which in/on/with house: home [the] prison and [obj] all which to make: do there he/she/it to be to make: do
झ्यालखानाका हाकिमले झ्यालखानाका सबै कैदीहरू योसेफको जिम्मामा दिए । तिनीहरूले गर्ने काममाथि योसेफकै निगरानी हुन्थ्यो ।
23 nothing ruler house: home [the] prison to see: see [obj] all anything in/on/with hand: power his in/on/with in which LORD with him and which he/she/it to make: do LORD to prosper
उनको जिम्मामा भएका कुनै कुरामा त्यस झ्यालखानाका हाकिम चिन्तित हुँदैन थिए, किनभने परमप्रभु उनीसँग हुनुहुन्थ्यो । उनले जे गर्थे, परमप्रभुले समृद्धि प्रदान गर्नुहुन्थ्यो ।
