Genesis 39

1 and Joseph to go down Egypt [to] and to buy him Potiphar eunuch Pharaoh ruler [the] guard man Egyptian from hand: to [the] Ishmaelite which to go down him there [to]

ויוסף הורד מצרימה ויקנהו פוטיפר סריס פרעה שר הטבחים איש מצרי מיד הישמעאלים אשר הורדהו שמה׃

2 and to be LORD with Joseph and to be man to prosper and to be in/on/with house: household lord his [the] Egyptian

ויהי יהוה את יוסף ויהי איש מצליח ויהי בבית אדניו המצרי׃

3 and to see: see lord his for LORD with him and all which he/she/it to make: do LORD to prosper in/on/with hand his

וירא אדניו כי יהוה אתו וכל אשר הוא עשה יהוה מצליח בידו׃

4 and to find Joseph favor in/on/with eye: seeing his and to minister [obj] him and to reckon: overseer him upon house: household his and all there to/for him to give: put in/on/with hand: power his

וימצא יוסף חן בעיניו וישרת אתו ויפקדהו על ביתו וכל יש לו נתן בידו׃

5 and to be from the past to reckon: overseer [obj] him in/on/with house: household his and upon all which there to/for him and to bless LORD [obj] house: household [the] Egyptian in/on/with because of Joseph and to be blessing LORD in/on/with all which there to/for him in/on/with house: home and in/on/with land: country

ויהי מאז הפקיד אתו בביתו ועל כל אשר יש לו ויברך יהוה את בית המצרי בגלל יוסף ויהי ברכת יהוה בכל אשר יש לו בבית ובשדה׃

6 and to leave: forsake all which to/for him in/on/with hand: power Joseph and not to know with him anything that if: except if: except [the] food which he/she/it to eat and to be Joseph beautiful appearance and beautiful appearance

ויעזב כל אשר לו ביד יוסף ולא ידע אתו מאומה כי אם הלחם אשר הוא אוכל ויהי יוסף יפה תאר ויפה מראה׃

ויהי אחר הדברים האלה ותשא אשת אדניו את עיניה אל יוסף ותאמר שכבה עמי׃

וימאן ויאמר אל אשת אדניו הן אדני לא ידע אתי מה בבית וכל אשר יש לו נתן בידי׃

איננו גדול בבית הזה ממני ולא חשך ממני מאומה כי אם אותך באשר את אשתו ואיך אעשה הרעה הגדלה הזאת וחטאתי לאלהים׃

ויהי כדברה אל יוסף יום יום ולא שמע אליה לשכב אצלה להיות עמה׃

ויהי כהיום הזה ויבא הביתה לעשות מלאכתו ואין איש מאנשי הבית שם בבית׃

12 and to capture him in/on/with garment his to/for to say to lie down: have sex [emph?] with me and to leave: forsake garment his in/on/with hand: power her and to flee and to come out: come [the] outside [to]

ותתפשהו בבגדו לאמר שכבה עמי ויעזב בגדו בידה וינס ויצא החוצה׃

13 and to be like/as to see: see she for to leave: forsake garment his in/on/with hand her and to flee [the] outside [to]

ויהי כראותה כי עזב בגדו בידה וינס החוצה׃

14 and to call: call out to/for human house: household her and to say to/for them to/for to say to see: behold! to come (in): bring to/for us man Hebrew to/for to laugh in/on/with us to come (in): come to(wards) me to/for to lie down: have sex with me and to call: call out in/on/with voice great: large

ותקרא לאנשי ביתה ותאמר להם לאמר ראו הביא לנו איש עברי לצחק בנו בא אלי לשכב עמי ואקרא בקול גדול׃

15 and to be like/as to hear: hear he for to exalt voice my and to call: call out and to leave: forsake garment his beside me and to flee and to come out: come [the] outside [to]

ויהי כשמעו כי הרימתי קולי ואקרא ויעזב בגדו אצלי וינס ויצא החוצה׃

16 and to rest garment his beside her till to come (in): come lord his to(wards) house: home his

ותנח בגדו אצלה עד בוא אדניו אל ביתו׃

17 and to speak: speak to(wards) him like/as word [the] these to/for to say to come (in): come to(wards) me [the] servant/slave [the] Hebrew which to come (in): bring to/for us to/for to laugh in/on/with me

ותדבר אליו כדברים האלה לאמר בא אלי העבד העברי אשר הבאת לנו לצחק בי׃

18 and to be like/as to exalt I voice my and to call: call out and to leave: forsake garment his beside me and to flee [the] outside [to]

ויהי כהרימי קולי ואקרא ויעזב בגדו אצלי וינס החוצה׃

19 and to be like/as to hear: hear lord his [obj] word woman: wife his which to speak: speak to(wards) him to/for to say like/as Chronicles [the] these to make: do to/for me servant/slave your and to be incensed face: anger his

ויהי כשמע אדניו את דברי אשתו אשר דברה אליו לאמר כדברים האלה עשה לי עבדך ויחר אפו׃

20 and to take: take lord Joseph [obj] him and to give: put him to(wards) house: home [the] prison place which (prisoner *Q(K)*) [the] king to bind and to be there in/on/with house: home [the] prison

ויקח אדני יוסף אתו ויתנהו אל בית הסהר מקום אשר אסורי המלך אסורים ויהי שם בבית הסהר׃

21 and to be LORD with Joseph and to stretch to(wards) him kindness and to give: give favor his in/on/with eye: seeing ruler house: home [the] prison

ויהי יהוה את יוסף ויט אליו חסד ויתן חנו בעיני שר בית הסהר׃

22 and to give: put ruler house: home [the] prison in/on/with hand: power Joseph [obj] all [the] prisoner which in/on/with house: home [the] prison and [obj] all which to make: do there he/she/it to be to make: do

ויתן שר בית הסהר ביד יוסף את כל האסירם אשר בבית הסהר ואת כל אשר עשים שם הוא היה עשה׃

23 nothing ruler house: home [the] prison to see: see [obj] all anything in/on/with hand: power his in/on/with in which LORD with him and which he/she/it to make: do LORD to prosper

אין שר בית הסהר ראה את כל מאומה בידו באשר יהוה אתו ואשר הוא עשה יהוה מצליח׃
