Genesis 35

1 and to say God to(wards) Jacob to arise: rise to ascend: rise Bethel Bethel and to dwell there and to make there altar to/for God [the] to see: see to(wards) you in/on/with to flee you from face: before Esau brother: male-sibling your

خدا به یعقوب فرمود: «حال برخیز و به بیت‌ئیل برو. در آنجا ساکن شو و مذبحی بساز و آن خدایی را که وقتی از دست برادرت عیسو می‌گریختی بر تو ظاهر شد، عبادت نما.»

2 and to say Jacob to(wards) house: household his and to(wards) all which with him to turn aside: remove [obj] God [the] foreign which in/on/with midst your and be pure and to pass mantle your

آنگاه یعقوب به تمامی اهل خانهٔ خود دستور داد که بُتهایی را که با خود آورده بودند، دور بیندازند و غسل بگیرند و لباسهایشان را عوض کنند.

3 and to arise: rise and to ascend: rise Bethel Bethel and to make there altar to/for God [the] to answer [obj] me in/on/with day distress my and to be with me me in/on/with way: journey which to go: went

او به ایشان گفت: «به بیت‌ئیل می‌رویم تا در آنجا برای خدایی که به هنگام سختی، دعاهایم را اجابت فرمود و هر جا می‌رفتم با من بود، مذبحی بسازم.»

4 and to give: give to(wards) Jacob [obj] all God [the] foreign which in/on/with hand: themselves their and [obj] [the] ring which in/on/with ear their and to hide [obj] them Jacob underneath: under [the] oak which with Shechem

پس همگی، بُتهای خود و گوشواره‌هایی را که در گوش داشتند به یعقوب دادند و او آنها را زیر درخت بلوطی در شکیم دفن کرد.

5 and to set out and to be terror God upon [the] city which around them and not to pursue after son: child Jacob

سپس آنها بار دیگر کوچ کردند. و ترس خدا بر تمامی شهرهایی که یعقوب از آنها عبور می‌کرد قرار گرفت تا به وی حمله نکنند.

6 and to come (in): come Jacob Luz [to] which in/on/with land: country/planet Canaan he/she/it Bethel Bethel he/she/it and all [the] people which with him

سرانجام به لوز که همان بیت‌ئیل باشد و در سرزمین کنعان واقع است، رسیدند.

7 and to build there altar and to call: call to to/for place El-bethel El-bethel El-bethel for there to reveal: reveal to(wards) him [the] God in/on/with to flee he from face: before brother: male-sibling his

یعقوب در آنجا مذبحی بنا کرد و آن را مذبح خدای بیت‌ئیل نامید (چون هنگام فرار از دست عیسو، در بیت‌ئیل بود که خدا بر او ظاهر شد.)

8 and to die Deborah to suckle Rebekah and to bury from underneath: under to/for Bethel Bethel underneath: under [the] oak and to call: call by name his Allon-bacuth Allon-bacuth

چند روز پس از آن، دبوره دایهٔ پیر ربکا مُرد و او را زیر درخت بلوطی در درهٔ پایین بیت‌ئیل به خاک سپردند. از آن پس، درخت مذکور را بلوط گریه نامیدند.

9 and to see: see God to(wards) Jacob still in/on/with to come (in): come he from Paddan (Paddan)-aram and to bless [obj] him

پس از آنکه یعقوب از فَدّان‌اَرام وارد بیت‌ئیل شد، خدا بار دیگر بر وی ظاهر شد و او را برکت داد

10 and to say to/for him God name your Jacob not to call: call to (name your *LBH(a)*) still Jacob that if: except if: except Israel to be name your and to call: call to [obj] name his Israel

و به او فرمود: «بعد از این دیگر نام تو یعقوب خوانده نشود، بلکه نام تو اسرائیل خواهد بود.

11 and to say to/for him God I God Almighty be fruitful and to multiply nation and assembly nation to be from you and king from loin your to come out: produce

من هستم خدای قادر مطلق. بارور و زیاد شو! قومهای زیاد و پادشاهان بسیار از نسل تو پدید خواهند آمد.

12 and [obj] [the] land: country/planet which to give: give to/for Abraham and to/for Isaac to/for you to give: give her and to/for seed: children your after you to give: give [obj] [the] land: country/planet

سرزمینی را که به ابراهیم و اسحاق دادم، به تو و به نسل تو نیز خواهم داد.»

13 and to ascend: rise from upon him God in/on/with place which to speak: speak with him

سپس خدا از نزد او به آسمان صعود کرد.

14 and to stand Jacob pillar in/on/with place which to speak: speak with him pillar stone and to pour upon her drink offering and to pour: pour upon her oil

پس از آن، یعقوب در همان جایی که خدا بر او ظاهر شده بود، ستونی از سنگ بنا کرد و هدیهٔ نوشیدنی برای خداوند بر آن ریخت و آن را با روغن زیتون تدهین کرد.

15 and to call: call by Jacob [obj] name [the] place which to speak: speak with him there God Bethel Bethel

یعقوب آن محل را بیت‌ئیل (یعنی «خانۀ خدا») نامید، زیرا خدا در آنجا با وی سخن گفته بود.

16 and to set out from Bethel Bethel and to be still distance [the] land: country/planet to/for to come (in): towards Ephrath and to beget Rachel and to harden in/on/with to beget she

سپس او و خانواده‌اش بیت‌ئیل را ترک گفتند و به سوی افرات رهسپار شدند. اما هنوز به افرات نرسیده بودند که دردِ زایمانِ راحیل شروع شد.

17 and to be in/on/with to harden she in/on/with to beget she and to say to/for her [the] to beget not to fear for also this to/for you son: child

پس از زایمان بسیار سخت، سرانجام قابله گفت: «نترس، یک پسر دیگر به دنیا آوردی!»

18 and to be in/on/with to come out: come soul her for to die and to call: call by name his Ben-oni Ben-oni and father his to call: call by to/for him Benjamin

ولی راحیل در حال مرگ بود. او در حین جان سپردن، پسرش را بِن اونی نام نهاد، ولی بعد پدرش او را بِنیامین نامید.

19 and to die Rachel and to bury in/on/with way: road Ephrath he/she/it Bethlehem Bethlehem

پس راحیل وفات یافت و او را در نزدیکی راه افرات که بیت‌لحم هم نامیده می‌شد، دفن کردند.

20 and to stand Jacob pillar upon tomb her he/she/it pillar tomb Rachel till [the] day: today

یعقوب روی قبرش ستونی از سنگ بنا کرد که تا به امروز باقی است.

21 and to set out Israel and to stretch (tent his *Q(K)*) from further to/for tower of Eder tower of Eder

آنگاه یعقوب از آنجا کوچ کرد و در آن طرف برج عیدر خیمه زد.

22 and to be in/on/with to dwell Israel in/on/with land: country/planet [the] he/she/it and to go: went Reuben (and to lie down: have sex *L(p)*) [obj] (Bilhah *L(p)*) concubine (father his *L(p)*) and to hear: hear (Israel *L(p)*) and to be son: child Jacob two ten

در همین‌جا بود که رئوبین با بلهه کنیز پدرش همبستر شد و یعقوب از این جریان آگاهی یافت.

23 son: child Leah firstborn Jacob Reuben and Simeon and Levi and Judah and Issachar and Zebulun

یعقوب دوازده پسر داشت که اسامی آنها از این قرار است: پسران لیه: رئوبین (بزرگترین فرزند یعقوب)، شمعون، لاوی، یهودا، یساکار و زبولون.

24 son: child Rachel Joseph and Benjamin

پسران راحیل: یوسف و بنیامین.

25 and son: child Bilhah maidservant Rachel Dan and Naphtali

پسران بلهه کنیز راحیل: دان و نفتالی.

26 and son: child Zilpah maidservant Leah Gad and Asher these son: child Jacob which to beget to/for him in/on/with Paddan (Paddan)-aram

جاد و اشیر هم از زلفه، کنیز لیه بودند. همه پسران یعقوب در فَدّان‌اَرام متولد شدند.

27 and to come (in): come Jacob to(wards) Isaac father his Mamre Kiriath-arba Kiriath-arba he/she/it Hebron which to sojourn there Abraham and Isaac

سرانجام یعقوب نزد پدر خود اسحاق به قریهٔ اربع واقع در مِلک ممری آمد. (آن قریه را حبرون نیز می‌گویند. حبرون همان جایی است که ابراهیم و اسحاق در آن در غربت به سر می‌بردند.)

28 and to be day Isaac hundred year and eighty year

اسحاق ۱۸۰ سال زندگی کرد.

29 and to die Isaac and to die and to gather to(wards) kinsman his old and sated day and to bury [obj] him Esau and Jacob son: child his

آنگاه آخرین نفسش را برآورده، در کمال پیری وفات یافت و به اجداد خویش پیوست و پسرانش عیسو و یعقوب او را دفن کردند.
