Genesis 32
1 and Jacob to go: went to/for way: journey his and to fall on in/on/with him messenger: angel God
Και απήλθεν ο Ιακώβ εις την οδόν αυτού· και συνήντησαν αυτόν οι άγγελοι του Θεού.
2 and to say Jacob like/as as which to see: see them camp God this and to call: call by name [the] place [the] he/she/it Mahanaim
Και ότε είδεν αυτούς ο Ιακώβ είπε, Στρατόπεδον Θεού είναι τούτο· και εκάλεσε το όνομα του τόπου εκείνου, Μαχαναΐμ.
3 and to send: depart Jacob messenger to/for face: before his to(wards) Esau brother: male-sibling his land: country/planet [to] Seir land: country Edom
Και απέστειλεν ο Ιακώβ μηνυτάς έμπροσθεν αυτού προς Ησαύ τον αδελφόν αυτού εις την γην Σηείρ, εις τον τόπον του Εδώμ.
4 and to command [obj] them to/for to say thus to say [emph?] to/for lord my to/for Esau thus to say servant/slave your Jacob with Laban to sojourn and to delay till now
Και παρήγγειλεν εις αυτούς, λέγων, ούτω θέλετε ειπεί προς τον κύριόν μου τον Ησαύ, Ούτω λέγει ο δούλός σου Ιακώβ, μετά του Λάβαν παρώκησα, και διέμεινα έως του νύν·
5 and to be to/for me cattle and donkey flock and servant/slave and maidservant and to send: depart [emph?] to/for to tell to/for lord my to/for to find favor in/on/with eye: seeing your
και απέκτησα βόας και όνους πρόβατα και δούλους και δούλας· και απέστειλα να αναγγείλω προς τον κύριόν μου, διά να εύρω χάριν έμπροσθέν σου.
6 and to return: return [the] messenger to(wards) Jacob to/for to say to come (in): come to(wards) brother: male-sibling your to(wards) Esau and also to go: come to/for to encounter: meet you and four hundred man with him
Και επέστρεψαν οι μηνυταί προς τον Ιακώβ, λέγοντες, Υπήγαμεν προς τον αδελφόν σου τον Ησαύ, και μάλιστα έρχεται εις συνάντησίν σου, και τετρακόσιοι άνδρες μετ' αυτού.
7 and to fear Jacob much and be distressed to/for him and to divide [obj] [the] people which with him and [obj] [the] flock and [obj] [the] cattle and [the] camel to/for two camp
Εφοβήθη δε ο Ιακώβ σφόδρα και ήτο εν αμηχανία· και διήρεσε τον λαόν, τον μεθ' αυτού, και τα ποίμνια και τους βόας και τας καμήλους, εις δύο τάγματα·
8 and to say if to come (in): come Esau to(wards) [the] camp [the] one and to smite him and to be [the] camp [the] to remain to/for survivor
λέγων, Εάν έλθη ο Ησαύ εις το εν τάγμα και πατάξη αυτό, το επίλοιπον τάγμα θέλει διασωθή.
9 and to say Jacob God father my Abraham and God father my Isaac LORD [the] to say to(wards) me to return: return to/for land: country/planet your and to/for relatives your and be good with you
Και είπεν ο Ιακώβ, Θεέ του πατρός μου Αβραάμ και Θεέ του πατρός μου Ισαάκ, Κύριε, όστις είπας προς εμέ· Επίστρεψον εις την γην σου και εις την συγγένειάν σου και θέλω σε αγαθοποιήσει·
10 be small from all [the] kindness and from all [the] truth: faithful which to make: do with servant/slave your for in/on/with rod my to pass [obj] [the] Jordan [the] this and now to be to/for two camp
πολύ μικρός είμαι ως προς πάντα τα ελέη και πάσαν την αλήθειαν τα οποία έκαμες εις τον δούλον σου· διότι με την ράβδον μου διέβην τον Ιορδάνην τούτον, και τώρα έγεινα δύο τάγματα·
11 to rescue me please from hand: power brother: male-sibling my from hand: power Esau for afraid I [obj] him lest to come (in): come and to smite me mother upon son: child
σώσον με, δέομαί σου, εκ της χειρός του αδελφού μου, εκ της χειρός του Ησαύ· διότι φοβούμαι αυτόν, μήπως ελθών πατάξη εμέ και την μητέρα επί τα τέκνα·
12 and you(m. s.) to say be good be good with you and to set: make [obj] seed: children your like/as sand [the] sea which not to recount from abundance
συ δε είπας, Βέβαια θέλω σε αγαθοποιήσει, και θέλω καταστήσει το σπέρμα σου ως την άμμον της θαλάσσης, ήτις εκ του πλήθους δεν δύναται να αριθμηθή.
13 and to lodge there in/on/with night [the] he/she/it and to take: take from [the] to come (in): bring in/on/with hand: to his offering: gift to/for Esau brother: male-sibling his
Και εκοιμήθη εκεί την νύκτα εκείνην· και έλαβεν εκ των όσα έτυχον εν τη χειρί αυτού, δώρον προς Ησαύ τον αδελφόν αυτού·
14 goat hundred and male goat twenty ewe hundred and ram twenty
αίγας διακοσίας και τράγους είκοσι, πρόβατα διακόσια και κριούς είκοσι,
15 camel to suckle and son: young animal their thirty heifer forty and bullock ten she-ass twenty and colt ten
καμήλους θηλαζούσας μετά των τέκνων αυτών τριάκοντα, δαμάλια τεσσαράκοντα και ταύρους δέκα, όνους θηλυκάς είκοσι και πωλάρια δέκα.
16 and to give: give in/on/with hand: to servant/slave his flock flock to/for alone him and to say to(wards) servant/slave his to pass to/for face: before my and space to set: put between flock and between flock
Και παρέδωκεν εις τας χείρας των δούλων αυτού, έκαστον ποίμνιον χωριστά· και είπε προς τους δούλους αυτού, Περάσατε έμπροσθέν μου και αφήσατε διάστημα μεταξύ ποιμνίου και ποιμνίου.
17 and to command [obj] [the] first to/for to say for to meet you Esau brother: male-sibling my and to ask you to/for to say to/for who? you(m. s.) and where? to go: went and to/for who? these to/for face: before your
Και εις τον πρώτον παρήγγειλε, λέγων, Όταν σε συναντήση Ησαύ ο αδελφός μου, και σε ερωτήση λέγων, Τίνος είσαι; και που υπάγεις; και τίνος είναι ταύτα, τα οποία έχεις έμπροσθέν σου;
18 and to say to/for servant/slave your to/for Jacob offering: gift he/she/it to send: depart to/for lord my to/for Esau and behold also he/she/it after us
τότε θέλεις ειπεί, Ταύτα είναι του δούλου σου του Ιακώβ, δώρα στελλόμενα προς τον κύριόν μου Ησαύ· και ιδού, και αυτός οπίσω ημών.
19 and to command also [obj] [the] second also [obj] [the] third also [obj] all [the] to go: follow after [the] flock to/for to say like/as Chronicles [the] this to speak: speak [emph?] to(wards) Esau in/on/with to find you [obj] him
ούτω παρήγγειλε και εις τον δεύτερον, και εις τον τρίτον και εις πάντας τους ακολουθούντας οπίσω των ποιμνίων, λέγων, Κατά τους λόγους τούτους θέλετε λαλήσει προς τον Ησαύ, όταν εύρητε αυτόν·
20 and to say also behold servant/slave your Jacob after us for to say to atone face of his in/on/with offering: gift [the] to go: went to/for face: before my and after so to see: see face his perhaps to lift: kindness face: kindness my
και θέλετε ειπεί, Ιδού, οπίσω ημών και αυτός ο δούλός σου Ιακώβ. Διότι έλεγε, Θέλω εξιλεώσει το πρόσωπον αυτού με το δώρον, το προπορευόμενον έμπροσθέν μου· και μετά ταύτα θέλω ιδεί το πρόσωπον αυτού· ίσως θέλει με δεχθή.
21 and to pass [the] offering: gift upon face: before his and he/she/it to lodge in/on/with night [the] he/she/it in/on/with camp
Το δώρον λοιπόν επέρασεν έμπροσθεν αυτού· αυτός δε έμεινε την νύκτα εκείνην εν τω στρατοπέδω.
22 and to arise: rise in/on/with night he/she/it and to take: take [obj] two woman: wife his and [obj] two maidservant his and [obj] one ten youth his and to pass [obj] ford Jabbok
Σηκωθείς δε την νύκτα εκείνην, έλαβε τας δύο γυναίκας αυτού και τας δύο θεραπαίνας αυτού και τα ένδεκα παιδία αυτού και διέβη το πέρασμα του Ιαβόκ.
23 and to take: take them and to pass them [obj] [the] torrent: river and to pass [obj] which to/for him
Και έλαβεν αυτούς και διεβίβασεν αυτούς τον χείμαρρον· διεβίβασε και τα υπάρχοντα αυτού.
24 and to remain Jacob to/for alone him and to wrestle man with him till to ascend: dawn [the] dawn
Ο δε Ιακώβ έμεινε μόνος· και επάλαιε μετ' αυτού άνθρωπος έως τα χαράγματα της αυγής·
25 and to see: see for not be able to/for him and to touch in/on/with palm: dish thigh his and to dislocate/hang palm: dish thigh Jacob in/on/with to wrestle he with him
ιδών δε ότι δεν υπερίσχυσε κατ' αυτού, ήγγισε την άρθρωσιν του μηρού αυτού· και μετετοπίσθη η άρθρωσις του μηρού του Ιακώβ, ενώ επάλαιε μετ' αυτού.
26 and to say to send: let go me for to ascend: dawn [the] dawn and to say not to send: let go you that if: except if: except to bless me
Ο δε είπεν, Άφες με να απέλθω, διότι εχάραξεν η αυγή. Και αυτός είπε, δεν θέλω σε αφήσει να απέλθης, εάν δεν με ευλογήσης.
27 and to say to(wards) him what? name your and to say Jacob
Και είπε προς αυτόν, Τι είναι το όνομά σου; Ο δε είπεν, Ιακώβ.
28 and to say not Jacob to say still name your that if: except if: except Israel for to strive with God and with human and be able
Και εκείνος είπε, Δεν θέλει καλεσθή πλέον το όνομά σου Ιακώβ, αλλά Ισραήλ· διότι ενίσχυσας μετά Θεού, και μετά ανθρώπων θέλεις είσθαι δυνατός.
29 and to ask Jacob and to say to tell [emph?] please name your and to say to/for what? this to ask to/for name my and to bless [obj] him there
Ηρώτησε δε ο Ιακώβ λέγων, Φανέρωσόν μοι, παρακαλώ, το όνομά σου. Ο δε είπε, Διά τι ερωτάς το όνομά μου; Και ευλόγησεν αυτόν εκεί.
30 and to call: call by Jacob name [the] place Peniel for to see: see God face to(wards) face and to rescue soul: life my
Και εκάλεσεν Ιακώβ το όνομα του τόπου εκείνον Φανουήλ, λέγων, Διότι είδον τον Θεόν πρόσωπον προς πρόσωπον, και εφυλάχθη η ζωή μου.
31 and to rise to/for him [the] sun like/as as which to pass [obj] Peniel and he/she/it to limp upon thigh his
Και ανέτειλεν ο ήλιος επ' αυτού, καθώς διέβη το Φανουήλ· εχώλαινε δε κατά τον μηρόν αυτού.
32 upon so not to eat son: descendant/people Israel [obj] sinew [the] hamstring which upon palm: dish [the] thigh till [the] day: today [the] this for to touch in/on/with palm: dish thigh Jacob in/on/with sinew [the] hamstring
Διά τούτο μέχρι της σήμερον δεν τρώγουσιν οι υιοί του Ισραήλ τον ναρκωθέντα μυώνα, όστις είναι επί της αρθρώσεως του μηρού· διότι εκείνος ήγγισε την άρθρωσιν του μηρού του Ιακώβ κατά τον μυώνα τον ναρκωθέντα.
