Genesis 16
1 and Sarai woman: wife Abram not to beget to/for him and to/for her maidservant Egyptian and name her Hagar
Saraï, femme d’Abram, ne lui avait pas donné d’enfants; et elle avait une servante égyptienne, nommée Agar.
2 and to say Sarai to(wards) Abram behold please to restrain me LORD from to beget to come (in): come please to(wards) maidservant my perhaps to build (from her *LBH(a)*) and to hear: hear Abram to/for voice Sarai
Saraï dit à Abram: « Voici que Yahweh m’a rendue stérile; viens, je te prie, vers ma servante; peut-être aurai-je d’elle des fils. » Abram écouta la voix de Saraï.

Saraï, femme d’Abram, prit donc Agar l’Égyptienne, sa servante, après qu’Abram eut habité dix années dans le pays de Chanaan, et elle la donna à Abram, son mari, pour être sa femme.
4 and to come (in): come to(wards) Hagar and to conceive and to see: see for to conceive and to lighten lady her in/on/with eye: seeing her
Il alla vers Agar, et elle conçut; et quand elle vit qu’elle avait conçu, elle regarda sa maîtresse avec mépris.
5 and to say Sarai to(wards) Abram violence my upon you I to give: give maidservant my in/on/with bosom: embrace your and to see: see for to conceive and to lighten in/on/with eye: seeing her to judge LORD between me and between you
Saraï dit à Abram: « L’outrage qui m’est fait tombe sur toi. J’ai mis ma servante dans ton sein et, quand elle a vu qu’elle avait conçu, elle m’a regardée avec mépris. Que Yahweh juge entre moi et toi! »
6 and to say Abram to(wards) Sarai behold maidservant your in/on/with hand: power your to make: do to/for her [the] pleasant in/on/with eye: appearance your and to afflict her Sarai and to flee from face: before her
Abram répondit à Saraï: « Voici, ta servante est sous ta puissance; agis à son égard comme bon te semblera. » Alors Saraï la maltraita, et Agar s’enfuit de devant elle.
7 and to find her messenger: angel LORD upon spring [the] water in/on/with wilderness upon [the] spring in/on/with way: road Shur
L’ange de Yahweh la trouva près d’une source d’eau dans le désert, près de la source qui est sur le chemin de Sur.

Il dit: « Agar, servante de Saraï, d’où viens-tu et où vas-tu? » Elle répondit: « Je fuis loin de Saraï, ma maîtresse. »

L’ange de Yahweh lui dit: « Retourne vers ta maîtresse et humilie-toi sous sa main. »
10 and to say to/for her messenger: angel LORD to multiply to multiply [obj] seed: children your and not to recount from abundance
L’ange de Yahweh ajouta: « Je multiplierai extrêmement ta postérité; on ne pourra la compter, tant elle sera nombreuse. »
11 and to say to/for her messenger: angel LORD behold you pregnant and to beget son: child and to call: call by name his Ishmael for to hear: hear LORD to(wards) affliction your
L’ange de Yahweh lui dit encore: « Voici que tu es enceinte, et tu enfanteras un fils, et tu lui donneras le nom d’Ismaël, parce que Yahweh a entendu ton affliction.

Ce sera un âne sauvage que cet homme; sa main sera contre tous, et la main de tous sera contre lui, et il habitera en face de tous ses frères. »

Agar donna à Yahweh qui lui avait parlé le nom de Atta-El-Roï car elle avait dit: « Ai-je donc ici même vu le Dieu qui me voyait? »

C’est pourquoi on a appelé ce puits le puits Lachaï-Roï. Il est situé entre Cadès et Barad.

Agar enfanta un fils à Abram, et Abram donna le nom d’Ismaël au fils qu’Agar avait mis au monde.
16 and Abram son: aged eighty year and six year in/on/with to beget Hagar [obj] Ishmael to/for Abram
Abram était âgé de quatre-vingt-six ans lorsqu’Agar enfanta Ismaël à Abram.
