Ezra 3

ഇസ്രായേൽജനം പട്ടണത്തിൽ താമസമാക്കിയതിനുശേഷം, ഏഴാംമാസം ആയപ്പോൾ ജനമെല്ലാം ഏകമനസ്സോടെ ജെറുശലേമിൽ ഒത്തുചേർന്നു.
2 and to arise: rise Jeshua son: child Jozadak and brother: compatriot his [the] priest and Zerubbabel son: child Shealtiel and brother: male-relative his and to build [obj] altar God Israel to/for to ascend: offer up upon him burnt offering like/as to write in/on/with instruction Moses man [the] God
അപ്പോൾ യോസാദാക്കിന്റെ മകനായ യോശുവയും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ സഹപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ശെയൽത്തിയേലിന്റെ മകനായ സെരൂബ്ബാബേലും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കൂട്ടാളികളും ചേർന്നു ദൈവപുരുഷനായ മോശയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്ന രീതിയിൽ ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവത്തിനു ഹോമയാഗം അർപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിനു യാഗപീഠം നിർമിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി.

അവർക്കു ദേശവാസികളെ പേടിയുണ്ടായിരുന്നു എന്നതൊഴിച്ചാൽ; അവർ യാഗപീഠത്തെ അതിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽത്തന്നെ പണിത് യഹോവയ്ക്കു ഹോമയാഗങ്ങൾ അർപ്പിച്ചു; രാവിലെയും വൈകിട്ടും ഉള്ള യാഗങ്ങളും അർപ്പിച്ചു.

എഴുതപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നതുപോലെ അവർ കൂടാരപ്പെരുന്നാൾ ആചരിക്കുകയും, നിയമപ്രകാരം ഓരോ ദിവസത്തേക്കുമുള്ള എണ്ണമനുസരിച്ച് ഹോമയാഗങ്ങൾ അർപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.

അതിന്റെശേഷം അവർ നിരന്തരം അർപ്പിക്കേണ്ട ഹോമയാഗങ്ങൾ, അമാവാസികളിലും യഹോവയുടെ വിശുദ്ധോത്സവങ്ങളിലും ഉള്ള യാഗങ്ങൾ, എന്നിവകൂടാതെ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് സ്വമേധാദാനങ്ങൾ കൊടുക്കുന്നവരും യാഗങ്ങൾ അർപ്പിച്ചു.

അവർ ഏഴാംമാസം ഒന്നാംതീയതിമുതൽ യഹോവയ്ക്കു ഹോമയാഗം അർപ്പിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി. ഇപ്രകാരമെല്ലാം ചെയ്തിരുന്നെങ്കിലും അവർ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനം അതുവരെ ഇട്ടിരുന്നില്ല.
7 and to give: give silver: money to/for to hew and to/for artificer and food and feast and oil to/for Sidonian and to/for Tyrian to/for to come (in): bring tree cedar from [the] Lebanon to(wards) sea Joppa like/as permission Cyrus king Persia upon them
അവർ കൽപ്പണിക്കാർക്കും ആശാരിമാർക്കും പണവും പാർസിരാജാവായ കോരെശ് അനുവദിച്ചതനുസരിച്ചു ലെബാനോനിൽനിന്നു കടൽമാർഗം ദേവദാരു യോപ്പയിലേക്ക് എത്തിക്കേണ്ടതിനു സീദോന്യർക്കും സോര്യർക്കും ഭക്ഷണവും പാനീയവും ഒലിവെണ്ണയും കൊടുത്തു.

ജെറുശലേമിലെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഭവനത്തിലെത്തിയതിന്റെ രണ്ടാംവർഷം രണ്ടാംമാസം ശെയൽത്തിയേലിന്റെ മകനായ സെരൂബ്ബാബേലും യോസാദാക്കിന്റെ മകനായ യോശുവയും പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ലേവ്യരും പ്രവാസത്തിൽനിന്ന് ജെറുശലേമിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവന്നശേഷം സഹോദരന്മാർ എല്ലാവരും ചേർന്നു പണി ആരംഭിച്ചു; ഇരുപതിനും അതിനു മേലോട്ടും പ്രായമുള്ള ലേവ്യരെ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ പണിക്കു മേൽനോട്ടം വഹിക്കാൻ അവർ നിയമിച്ചു.

യോശുവയും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരും ഹോദവ്യാവിന്റെ പിൻഗാമികളായ കദ്മീയേലും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും ഹെനാദാദിന്റെ മക്കളും അവരുടെ മക്കളും സഹോദരന്മാരും—ഇവരെല്ലാം ലേവ്യരായിരുന്നു—ദൈവാലയം പണിയുന്നവർക്കു മേൽനോട്ടം വഹിക്കാൻ ഒരുമിച്ചുകൂടി.

പണിക്കാർ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന് അടിസ്ഥാനമിട്ടപ്പോൾ ഇസ്രായേൽരാജാവായ ദാവീദ് ഏർപ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നപ്രകാരം വിശുദ്ധവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ച്, കാഹളമേന്തിയ പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ഇലത്താളങ്ങളോടെ ആസാഫിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ ലേവ്യരും യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിക്കാനായി അവർക്കുള്ള സ്ഥാനങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നു.
11 and to sing in/on/with to boast: praise and in/on/with to give thanks to/for LORD for pleasant for to/for forever: enduring kindness his upon Israel and all [the] people to shout (shout *LB(ah)*) great: large in/on/with to boast: praise to/for LORD upon to found house: temple LORD
അവർ യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തി സ്തുതിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്: “അവിടന്നു നല്ലവൻ; ഇസ്രായേലിനോടുള്ള അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹം ശാശ്വതമായിരിക്കുന്നു,” എന്ന ഗാനം അവർ ആലപിച്ചു. അങ്ങനെ ജനമെല്ലാം അത്യുച്ചത്തിൽ ആർത്തുകൊണ്ട് യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിച്ചു, യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനം ഇട്ടതിനാണ് അവർ ഇപ്രകാരം ചെയ്തത്.

എന്നാൽ പുരോഹിതന്മാരിലും ലേവ്യരിലും പിതൃഭവനത്തലവന്മാരിലും, ആദ്യത്തെ മന്ദിരം കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ള അനേകം വൃദ്ധന്മാർ ഈ ആലയത്തിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനം ഇടുന്നതു കണ്ടപ്പോൾ ഉറക്കെ കരഞ്ഞു; മറ്റുപലരും സന്തോഷത്താൽ ആർത്തു.
13 and nothing [the] people to recognize voice: sound shout [the] joy to/for voice: sound weeping [the] people for [the] people to shout shout great: large and [the] voice: sound to hear: hear till to/for from distant
അങ്ങനെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ശബ്ദം വളരെ ഉച്ചത്തിൽ ആയിരുന്നതിനാൽ സന്തോഷഘോഷത്തിന്റെയും കരച്ചിലിന്റെയും ശബ്ദംതമ്മിൽ വേർതിരിച്ചറിയാൻ ആർക്കും കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല. ഈ ശബ്ദം വളരെദൂരം കേൾക്കാമായിരുന്നു.
