Ezra 3
1 and to touch [the] month [the] seventh and son: descendant/people Israel in/on/with city and to gather [the] people like/as man one to(wards) Jerusalem
| ויגע החדש השביעי ובני ישראל בערים ויאספו העם כאיש אחד אל ירושלם׃ |
2 and to arise: rise Jeshua son: child Jozadak and brother: compatriot his [the] priest and Zerubbabel son: child Shealtiel and brother: male-relative his and to build [obj] altar God Israel to/for to ascend: offer up upon him burnt offering like/as to write in/on/with instruction Moses man [the] God
| ויקם ישוע בן יוצדק ואחיו הכהנים וזרבבל בן שאלתיאל ואחיו ויבנו את מזבח אלהי ישראל להעלות עליו עלות ככתוב בתורת משה איש האלהים׃ |

| ויכינו המזבח על מכונתיו כי באימה עליהם מעמי הארצות ויעל עליו עלות ליהוה עלות לבקר ולערב׃ |
4 and to make: do [obj] feast [the] booth like/as to write and burnt offering day: daily in/on/with day: daily in/on/with number like/as justice: judgement word: portion day: daily in/on/with day: daily his
| ויעשו את חג הסכות ככתוב ועלת יום ביום במספר כמשפט דבר יום ביומו׃ |
5 and after so burnt offering continually and to/for month: new moon and to/for all meeting: festival LORD [the] to consecrate: consecate and to/for all be willing voluntariness to/for LORD
| ואחריכן עלת תמיד ולחדשים ולכל מועדי יהוה המקדשים ולכל מתנדב נדבה ליהוה׃ |
6 from day one to/for month [the] seventh to profane/begin: begin to/for to ascend: offer up burnt offering to/for LORD and temple LORD not to found
| מיום אחד לחדש השביעי החלו להעלות עלות ליהוה והיכל יהוה לא יסד׃ |
7 and to give: give silver: money to/for to hew and to/for artificer and food and feast and oil to/for Sidonian and to/for Tyrian to/for to come (in): bring tree cedar from [the] Lebanon to(wards) sea Joppa like/as permission Cyrus king Persia upon them
| ויתנו כסף לחצבים ולחרשים ומאכל ומשתה ושמן לצדנים ולצרים להביא עצי ארזים מן הלבנון אל ים יפוא כרשיון כורש מלך פרס עליהם׃ |

| ובשנה השנית לבואם אל בית האלהים לירושלם בחדש השני החלו זרבבל בן שאלתיאל וישוע בן יוצדק ושאר אחיהם הכהנים והלוים וכל הבאים מהשבי ירושלם ויעמידו את הלוים מבן עשרים שנה ומעלה לנצח על מלאכת בית יהוה׃ |
9 and to stand: appoint Jeshua son: child his and brother: male-sibling his Kadmiel and son: child his son: child Judah like/as one to/for to conduct upon to make: [do] [the] work in/on/with house: temple [the] God son: child Henadad son: child their and brother: male-sibling their [the] Levi
| ויעמד ישוע בניו ואחיו קדמיאל ובניו בני יהודה כאחד לנצח על עשה המלאכה בבית האלהים בני חנדד בניהם ואחיהם הלוים׃ |
10 and to found [the] to build [obj] temple LORD and to stand: appoint [the] priest to clothe in/on/with trumpet and [the] Levi son: descendant/people Asaph in/on/with cymbal to/for to boast: praise [obj] LORD upon hand: power David king Israel
| ויסדו הבנים את היכל יהוה ויעמידו הכהנים מלבשים בחצצרות והלוים בני אסף במצלתים להלל את יהוה על ידי דויד מלך ישראל׃ |
11 and to sing in/on/with to boast: praise and in/on/with to give thanks to/for LORD for pleasant for to/for forever: enduring kindness his upon Israel and all [the] people to shout (shout *LB(ah)*) great: large in/on/with to boast: praise to/for LORD upon to found house: temple LORD
| ויענו בהלל ובהודת ליהוה כי טוב כי לעולם חסדו על ישראל וכל העם הריעו תרועה גדולה בהלל ליהוה על הוסד בית יהוה׃ |
12 and many from [the] priest and [the] Levi and head: leader [the] father [the] old which to see: see [obj] [the] house: temple [the] first in/on/with to found him this [the] house: temple in/on/with eye: seeing their to weep in/on/with voice great: large and many in/on/with shout in/on/with joy to/for to exalt voice
| ורבים מהכהנים והלוים וראשי האבות הזקנים אשר ראו את הבית הראשון ביסדו זה הבית בעיניהם בכים בקול גדול ורבים בתרועה בשמחה להרים קול׃ |
13 and nothing [the] people to recognize voice: sound shout [the] joy to/for voice: sound weeping [the] people for [the] people to shout shout great: large and [the] voice: sound to hear: hear till to/for from distant
| ואין העם מכירים קול תרועת השמחה לקול בכי העם כי העם מריעים תרועה גדולה והקול נשמע עד למרחוק׃ |
