Ezekiel 1

१माझ्या आयुष्याच्या तिसाव्या वर्षाच्या चौथ्या महिन्याच्या पाचव्या दिवशी, मी खबार नदीच्या तीरी दास्यात गेलेल्या लोकांसोबत राहत होतो. तेव्हा स्वर्ग उघडला आणि मी देवाचा दृष्टांत पाहिला.

४तेव्हा मी पाहिले उत्तरेकडून तुफानाचा वारा सुटला, तो एक अग्नीने धुमसणारा, मध्य भागात विजांचा पिवळसर प्रकाश मध्यभागी चमकत असलेला विशाल मेघ होता.

५मध्यभागी चार जिवंत प्राण्याच्या आकाराचे काही नजरेस पडले; ते माणसासारखे दिसत होते,

१३ते जिवंत प्राणी जळत्या कोलीतासमान किंवा मशालीसमान दिसत होते; त्यांच्यातून प्रखर अग्नी निघत होता व विजा चकाकत होत्या.

१४हे जिवंत प्राणी चपळतेने पुढे मागे हालचाल करीत होते आणि ते विजेसारखे दिसत होते!

१५मग मी त्या प्राण्यांकडे पाहिले त्या जिवंत प्राण्यांच्या बाजूला भूमीवर एक एक चाक होते.

१६त्या चाकांचे स्वरूप असे दिसत होतेः चारही चाके एक समान व वैडूर्य मण्यांसारखी होती; आणि जणूकाही चाकात चाक घातलेले असून त्यांना एकमेकांस छेदलेले असावे असा त्यांचा आकार होता.

२६त्यांच्या माथ्याच्या वरील घुमटाच्या भागात नीलरत्न जडीत सिंहासन दिसत होते, आणि सिंहासनावर मनुष्याच्या चेहऱ्या समान कोणी असल्याची जाणीव होत होती.

२८पाऊस पडतांना दिसणाऱ्या मेघधनुष्यासारखा तो भासत होता त्याच्या भोवती प्रखर तेजोमय प्रकाश होता. हे परमेश्वर देवाचे गौरवयुक्त तेज दिसत होते. जेव्हा मी हे पाहिले व माझ्यासोबत बोलणारी वाणी ऐकली तेव्हा मी उपडा पडलो.
