Exodus 18
1 and to hear: hear Jethro priest Midian relative Moses [obj] all which to make: do God to/for Moses and to/for Israel people his for to come out: send LORD [obj] Israel from Egypt
Jetró, sacerdote de Madián, suegro de Moisés, supo todo lo que había hecho Dios en favor de Moisés e Israel, su pueblo: que Yahvé había sacado a Israel de Egipto.
2 and to take: take Jethro relative Moses [obj] Zipporah woman: wife Moses after parting gift her
Y tomó Jetró, suegro de Moisés, a Seforá, mujer de Moisés, después de haberla (Moisés) despedido;
3 and [obj] two son: child her which name [the] one Gershom for to say sojourner to be in/on/with land: country/planet foreign
y a los dos hijos de este, de los cuales uno se llamaba Gersom, pues había dicho (Moisés): “Soy un extranjero en tierra extraña.”
4 and name [the] one Eliezer for God father my in/on/with helper my and to rescue me from sword Pharaoh
El otro se llamaba Eliéser, porque (Moisés) había dicho: “El Dios de mi padre fue mi protector y me ha librado de la espada del Faraón.”
5 and to come (in): come Jethro relative Moses and son: child his and woman: wife his to(wards) Moses to(wards) [the] wilderness which he/she/it to camp there mountain: mount [the] God
Vino, pues, Jetró, suegro de Moisés, con los hijos y la mujer de este, al desierto, donde acampaba junto al monte de Dios.
6 and to say to(wards) Moses I relative your Jethro to come (in): come to(wards) you and woman: wife your and two son: child her with her
Y envió a decir a Moisés: “Yo, Jetró, tu suegro, vengo a ti con tu mujer, y con ella están sus dos hijos.”
7 and to come out: come Moses to/for to encounter: meet relative his and to bow and to kiss to/for him and to ask man: anyone to/for neighbor his to/for peace: well-being and to come (in): come [the] tent [to]
Moisés salió al encuentro de su suegro, se prosternó y le besó. Y después de preguntarse mutuamente por su salud entraron en la tienda.
8 and to recount Moses to/for relative his [obj] all which to make: do LORD to/for Pharaoh and to/for Egypt upon because Israel [obj] all [the] hardship which to find them in/on/with way: journey and to rescue them LORD
Luego contó Moisés a su suegro todo lo que Yahvé había hecho al Faraón y a los egipcios, en favor de Israel; y todos los trabajos sufridos en el camino y cómo Yahvé los había librado.
9 and to rejoice Jethro upon all [the] welfare which to make: do LORD to/for Israel which to rescue him from hand: power Egypt
Jetró se alegró de todo el bien que Yahvé había hecho a Israel, librándolo de la mano de los egipcios.
10 and to say Jethro to bless LORD which to rescue [obj] you from hand: owner Egypt and from hand: owner Pharaoh which to rescue [obj] [the] people from underneath: owning hand: owner Egypt
Y dijo Jetró: “¡Bendito sea Yahvé que os ha librado de la mano de los egipcios y de la mano del Faraón y ha salvado al pueblo del poder de los egipcios!
11 now to know for great: large LORD from all [the] God for in/on/with word: because which to boil upon them
Ahora acabo de conocer que Yahvé es más grande que todos los dioses; pues en aquello mismo en que ellos se ensoberbecieron los ha castigado.”
12 and to take: bring Jethro relative Moses burnt offering and sacrifice to/for God and to come (in): come Aaron and all old: elder Israel to/for to eat food: bread with relative Moses to/for face: before [the] God
Después tomó Jetró, suegro de Moisés, un holocausto y sacrificios para (ofrecerlos) a Dios; y Aarón y todos los ancianos de Israel fueron a comer con el suegro de Moisés en presencia de Dios.
13 and to be from morrow and to dwell Moses to/for to judge [obj] [the] people and to stand: stand [the] people upon Moses from [the] morning till [the] evening
Al día siguiente se sentó Moisés para juzgar al pueblo; y el pueblo estaba delante de Moisés desde la mañana hasta la tarde.
14 and to see: see relative Moses [obj] all which he/she/it to make: do to/for people and to say what? [the] word: thing [the] this which you(m. s.) to make: do to/for people why? you(m. s.) to dwell to/for alone you and all [the] people to stand upon you from morning till evening
Vio el suegro de Moisés todo lo que hacía para con el pueblo, y dijo: “¿Qué es esto que haces con el pueblo? ¿Por qué te sientas tú solo, y todo el pueblo permanece parado alrededor tuyo desde la mañana hasta la tarde?”
15 and to say Moses to/for relative his for to come (in): come to(wards) me [the] people to/for to seek God
Contestó Moisés a su suegro: “Porque el pueblo viene a mí para consultar a Dios.
16 for to be to/for them word: case to come (in): come to(wards) me and to judge between man: anyone and between neighbor his and to know [obj] statute: decree [the] God and [obj] instruction his
Cuando tienen un pleito, vienen a mí; y yo juzgo entre unos y otros, dándoles a conocer los preceptos de Dios y sus leyes.”
17 and to say relative Moses to(wards) him not pleasant [the] word: thing which you(m. s.) to make: do
Entonces el suegro de Moisés le dijo: “No está bien lo que haces.
18 to wither to wither also you(m. s.) also [the] people [the] this which with you for heavy from you [the] word: thing not be able to make: do him to/for alone you
Te cansarás demasiado, tú y este pueblo que contigo está; porque este trabajo es superior a tus fuerzas; no podrás hacerlo tú solo.
19 now to hear: obey in/on/with voice my to advise you and to be God with you to be you(m. s.) to/for people opposite [the] God and to come (in): bring you(m. s.) [obj] [the] word: case to(wards) [the] God
Oye, pues, ahora mi voz; yo te doy un consejo, y Dios sea contigo. Sé tú solamente el representante del pueblo delante de Dios, al cual presentarás los asuntos.
20 and to warn [obj] them [obj] [the] statute: decree and [obj] [the] instruction and to know to/for them [obj] [the] way: conduct to go: walk in/on/with her and [obj] [the] deed: work which to make: do [emph?]
Enséñales los preceptos y las leyes, y dales a conocer el camino que deben seguir, y las obras que han de practicar.
21 and you(m. s.) to see from all [the] people human strength afraid God human truth: faithful to hate unjust-gain and to set: put upon them ruler thousand ruler hundred ruler fifty and ruler ten
Y escoge de entre el pueblo hombres capaces, temerosos de Dios, hombres fieles y enemigos de la avaricia, y constitúyelos sobre ellos como jefes de mil, jefes de cien, jefes de cincuenta y jefes de diez.
22 and to judge [obj] [the] people in/on/with all time and to be all [the] word: thing [the] great: large to come (in): bring to(wards) you and all [the] word: thing [the] small to judge they(masc.) and to lighten from upon you and to lift: bear with you
Ellos sean jueces del pueblo en todo tiempo; todo caso importante llévenlo a ti, mas en todos los asuntos de menor importancia decidan ellos. Así se aliviará tu carga, llevándola ellos contigo.
23 if [obj] [the] word: thing [the] this to make: do and to command you God and be able to stand: stand and also all [the] people [the] this upon place his to come (in): come in/on/with peace
Si haces esto, y Dios te lo manda, podrás sostenerte, y por su parte todo este pueblo podrá volver en paz a su lugar.”
24 and to hear: hear Moses to/for voice relative his and to make: do all which to say
Moisés escuchó la voz de su suegro, e hizo todo lo que había dicho.
25 and to choose Moses human strength from all Israel and to give: make [obj] them head: leader upon [the] people ruler thousand ruler hundred ruler fifty and ruler ten
Escogió, pues, Moisés hombres capaces de entre todo Israel, y los constituyó jefes del pueblo, jefes de mil, jefes de cien, jefes de cincuenta y jefes de diez.
26 and to judge [obj] [the] people in/on/with all time [obj] [the] word: case [the] severe to come (in): bring [emph?] to(wards) Moses and all [the] word: case [the] small to judge they(masc.)
Estos juzgaban al pueblo en todo tiempo; los asuntos graves los llevaban a Moisés; mas en todos los asuntos menores decidían ellos mismos.
27 and to send: depart Moses [obj] relative his and to go: went to/for him to(wards) land: country/planet his
Después despidió Moisés a su suegro, el cual se volvió a su tierra.
