Exodus 17

Cả hội chúng Y-sơ-ra-ên đi từ đồng vắng Sin, đi từng trạm, tùy theo lịnh Đức Giê-hô-va, đóng trại tại Rê-phi-đim; ở đó chẳng có nước cho dân sự uống.
2 and to contend [the] people with Moses and to say to give: give to/for us water and to drink and to say to/for them Moses what? to contend [emph?] with me me what? to test [emph?] [obj] LORD
Dân sự bèn kiếm cớ cãi lộn cùng Môi-se mà rằng: Hãy cho chúng tôi nước uống. Môi-se đáp rằng: Sao các ngươi kiếm cớ cãi lộn cùng ta? Sao ướm thử Đức Giê-hô-va vậy?
3 and to thirst there [the] people to/for water and to grumble [the] people upon Moses and to say to/for what? this to ascend: establish us from Egypt to/for to die [obj] me and [obj] son: child my and [obj] livestock my in/on/with thirst
Dân sự ở đó không có nước, bị khát, nên oán trách Môi-se mà rằng: Sao người khiến chúng tôi ra xứ Ê-díp-tô, hầu cho chúng tôi, con và các bầy súc vật phải chịu chết khát thế nầy?
4 and to cry Moses to(wards) LORD to/for to say what? to make: do to/for people [the] this still little and to stone me
Môi-se bèn kêu cầu Đức Giê-hô-va mà rằng: Tôi phải xử thế nào cùng dân nầy? Thiếu điều họ ném đá tôi!
5 and to say LORD to(wards) Moses to pass to/for face: before [the] people and to take: take with you from old: elder Israel and tribe: rod your which to smite in/on/with him [obj] [the] Nile to take: take in/on/with hand your and to go: went
Đức Giê-hô-va đáp cùng Môi-se rằng: Hãy cầm gậy của ngươi đã đập dưới sông, dẫn theo những trưởng lão Y-sơ-ra-ên, rồi đi trước mặt dân sự.
6 look! I to stand: stand to/for face: before your there upon [the] rock in/on/with Horeb and to smite in/on/with rock and to come out: come from him water and to drink [the] people and to make: do so Moses to/for eye: seeing old: elder Israel
Nầy ta sẽ đứng đằng trước ngươi, ở trên hòn đá tại Hô-rếp kia, ngươi hãy đập hòn đá, thì nước từ đó chảy ra, dân sự sẽ uống lấy. Môi-se bèn làm như vậy trước mặt các trưởng lão Y-sơ-ra-ên.
7 and to call: call by name [the] place Massah and Meribah upon strife son: descendant/people Israel and upon to test they [obj] LORD to/for to say there LORD in/on/with entrails: among our if nothing
Người đặt tên nơi nầy là Ma-sa và Mê-ri-ba, vì cớ việc cãi lộn mà dân Y-sơ-ra-ên kiếm cớ gây cùng người, và vì họ đã ướm thử Đức Giê-hô-va mà nói rằng: Có Đức Giê-hô-va ở giữa chúng ta hay chăng?
8 and to come (in): come Amalek and to fight with Israel in/on/with Rephidim
Vả, khi đó, dân A-ma-léc đến khêu chiến cùng Y-sơ-ra-ên tại Rê-phi-đim.
9 and to say Moses to(wards) Joshua to choose to/for us human and to come out: come to fight in/on/with Amalek tomorrow I to stand upon head: top [the] hill and tribe: rod [the] God in/on/with hand my
Môi-se bèn nói cùng Giô-suê rằng: Hãy chọn lấy tráng sĩ cho chúng ta, ra chiến đấu cùng dân A-ma-léc; ngày mai ta sẽ đứng nơi đầu nổng, cầm gậy của Đức Chúa Trời trong tay.
10 and to make: do Joshua like/as as which to say to/for him Moses to/for to fight in/on/with Amalek and Moses Aaron and Hur to ascend: rise head: top [the] hill
Giô-suê bèn làm y như lời Môi-se nói, để cự chiến dân A-ma-léc; còn Môi-se, A-rôn và Hu-rơ lên trên đầu nổng.
11 and to be like/as as which to exalt Moses hand his and to prevail Israel and like/as as which to rest hand his and to prevail Amalek
Vả, hễ đang khi Môi-se giơ tay lên, thì dân Y-sơ-ra-ên thắng hơn; nhưng khi người xụi tay xuống, dân A-ma-léc lại thắng hơn.
12 and hand Moses heavy and to take: take stone and to set: put underneath: under him and to dwell upon her and Aaron and Hur to grasp in/on/with hand his from this one and from this one and to be hand his faithfulness till to come (in): (sun)set [the] sun
Tay Môi-se mỏi, A-rôn và Hu-rơ bèn lấy đá kê cho người ngồi, rồi ở hai bên đỡ tay người lên; tay người chẳng lay động cho đến khi mặt trời lặn.
13 and to weaken Joshua [obj] Amalek and [obj] people his to/for lip: edge sword
Giô-suê lấy lưỡi gươm đánh bại A-ma-léc và dân sự người.
14 and to say LORD to(wards) Moses to write this memorial in/on/with scroll: book and to set: make in/on/with ear Joshua for to wipe to wipe [obj] memorial Amalek from underneath: under [the] heaven
Đức Giê-hô-va bèn phán cùng Môi-se rằng: Hãy chép điều nầy trong sách làm kỷ niệm, và hãy nói cho Giô-suê biết rằng ta sẽ bôi sạch kỷ niệm về A-ma-léc trong thiên hạ.
15 and to build Moses altar and to call: call by name his LORD Banner my
Môi-se lập lên một bàn thờ, đặt tên là “Giê-hô-va cờ xí của tôi”;
16 and to say for hand upon throne LORD battle to/for LORD in/on/with Amalek from generation generation
và nói rằng: Bởi vì A-ma-léc có giơ tay lên nghịch cùng ngôi Đức Giê-hô-va, nên Đức Giê-hô-va chinh chiến với A-ma-léc từ đời nầy qua đời kia.
