Exodus 16
1 and to set out from Elim and to come (in): come all congregation son: descendant/people Israel to(wards) wilderness Sin which between Elim and between Sinai in/on/with five ten day to/for month [the] second to/for to come out: come them from land: country/planet Egypt
Rời Ê-lim, đoàn người Ít-ra-ên tiếp tục lên đường, đến hoang mạc Sin (giữa Ê-lim và núi Si-nai) vào ngày mười lăm tháng hai, tính từ ngày ra khỏi Ai Cập.
2 (and to grumble *Q(K)*) all congregation son: descendant/people Israel upon Moses and upon Aaron in/on/with wilderness
Ở đó, đoàn người Ít-ra-ên lại cằn nhằn Môi-se và A-rôn.
3 and to say to(wards) them son: descendant/people Israel who? to give: if only! to die we in/on/with hand: power LORD in/on/with land: country/planet Egypt in/on/with to dwell we upon pot [the] flesh in/on/with to eat we food: bread to/for satiety for to come out: send [obj] us to(wards) [the] wilderness [the] this to/for to die [obj] all [the] assembly [the] this in/on/with famine
Họ than khóc: “Chẳng thà chúng tôi cứ ở lại Ai Cập mà ăn thịt bánh no nê, rồi dù có bị Chúa Hằng Hữu giết tại đó đi nữa, cũng còn hơn theo hai ông vào giữa hoang mạc này để chết đói.”
4 and to say LORD to(wards) Moses look! I to rain to/for you food: bread from [the] heaven and to come out: come [the] people and to gather word: portion day in/on/with day his because to test him to go: walk in/on/with instruction my if not
Chúa Hằng Hữu phán bảo Môi-se: “Ta sẽ làm bánh rơi xuống từ trời như mưa. Ngày ngày, mỗi người sẽ đi ra nhặt bánh; nhưng chỉ nhặt đủ ăn trong ngày. Ta muốn thử xem họ có vâng lời Ta không.
5 and to be in/on/with day [the] sixth and to establish: prepare [obj] which to come (in): bring and to be second upon which to gather day: daily day: daily
Ngày thứ sáu họ phải nhặt gấp đôi số bánh hằng ngày.”
6 and to say Moses and Aaron to(wards) all son: descendant/people Israel evening and to know for LORD to come out: send [obj] you from land: country/planet Egypt
Vậy, Môi-se và A-rôn nói với đoàn người Ít-ra-ên: “Chiều hôm nay, mọi người sẽ nhận biết chính Chúa Hằng Hữu đã dẫn anh chị em ra khỏi Ai Cập;
7 and morning and to see: see [obj] glory LORD in/on/with to hear: hear he [obj] murmuring your upon LORD and we what? for (to grumble *Q(K)*) upon us
rồi đến sáng, sẽ chiêm ngưỡng vinh quang của Chúa Hằng Hữu, vì Ngài có nghe lời cằn nhằn oán trách rồi. Chúng tôi là ai, mà anh chị em cằn nhằn chúng tôi?
8 and to say Moses in/on/with to give: give LORD to/for you in/on/with evening flesh to/for to eat and food: bread in/on/with morning to/for to satisfy in/on/with to hear: hear LORD [obj] murmuring your which you(m. p.) to grumble upon him and we what? not upon us murmuring your for upon LORD
Môi-se cũng nói với họ: Anh chị em sẽ nhận biết Chúa Hằng Hữu khi Ngài ban cho thịt vào buổi chiều và bánh vào buổi sáng. Thật ra, anh chị em đã oán trách Chúa chứ không phải oán trách chúng tôi.”
9 and to say Moses to(wards) Aaron to say to(wards) all congregation son: descendant/people Israel to present: come to/for face: before LORD for to hear: hear [obj] murmuring your
Môi-se nói với A-rôn: “Hãy nói với toàn dân Ít-ra-ên rằng: ‘Bây giờ, toàn dân hãy đến đây trước mặt Chúa Hằng Hữu, vì Ngài đã nghe lời cằn nhằn của anh chị em.’”
10 and to be like/as to speak: speak Aaron to(wards) all congregation son: descendant/people Israel and to turn to(wards) [the] wilderness and behold glory LORD to see: see in/on/with cloud
Trong khi A-rôn còn đang nói với toàn dân, bỗng, về phía hoang mạc, vinh quang của Chúa Hằng Hữu chói lọi trong áng mây.
11 and to speak: speak LORD to(wards) Moses to/for to say
Chúa Hằng Hữu phán bảo Môi-se:
12 to hear: hear [obj] murmuring son: descendant/people Israel to speak: speak to(wards) them to/for to say between [the] evening to eat flesh and in/on/with morning to satisfy food: bread and to know for I LORD God your
“Ta đã nghe lời họ cằn nhằn. Con cho họ hay rằng buổi chiều họ sẽ có thịt, buổi sáng có bánh ăn dư dật để họ biết Ta là Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của họ.”
13 and to be in/on/with evening and to ascend: rise [the] quail and to cover [obj] [the] camp and in/on/with morning to be semen [the] dew around to/for camp
Chiều hôm ấy, chim cút bay đến vô số, bao phủ cả trại. Đến sáng, chung quanh trại có một lớp sương dày.
14 and to ascend: rise semen [the] dew and behold upon face: surface [the] wilderness thin to peel thin like/as frost upon [the] land: soil
Lớp sương tan đi, để lại trên mặt cát hoang mạc những hạt nhỏ và mịn.
15 and to see: see son: descendant/people Israel and to say man: anyone to(wards) brother: compatriot his What? he/she/it for not to know what? he/she/it and to say Moses to(wards) them he/she/it [the] food: bread which to give: give LORD to/for you to/for food
Người Ít-ra-ên trông thấy, hỏi nhau: “Vật gì vậy?” Môi-se nói: “Đó là bánh Chúa Hằng Hữu cho anh chị em.”
16 this [the] word which to command LORD to gather from him man: anyone to/for lip: according food his omer to/for head number soul: person your man: anyone to/for which in/on/with tent his to take: take
Ông tiếp: “Chúa Hằng Hữu phán dạy mỗi người thu nhặt bánh ấy tùy theo nhu cầu của gia đình mình, chừng hai lít mỗi đầu người.”
17 and to make: do so son: descendant/people Israel and to gather [the] to multiply and [the] to diminish
Người Ít-ra-ên bắt đầu đi ra nhặt bánh, ước chừng hai lít cho mỗi người.
18 and to measure in/on/with omer and not to remain [the] to multiply and [the] to diminish not to lack man: anyone to/for lip: according food his to gather
Nhưng dù có ai nhặt nhiều cũng không thừa; ai nhặt ít cũng không thiếu. Mỗi người nhặt đủ cho mình ăn.
19 and to say Moses to(wards) them man: anyone not to remain from him till morning
Mặc dù Môi-se có căn dặn: “Đừng ai để dành bánh đến ngày mai,”
20 and not to hear: hear to(wards) Moses and to remain human from him till morning and be rotten worm and to stink and be angry upon them Moses
nhưng có người vẫn không vâng lời, để bánh lại đến sáng hôm sau, bánh hóa giòi và hôi hám. Vì thế, Môi-se giận họ.
21 and to gather [obj] him in/on/with morning in/on/with morning man: anyone like/as lip: according food his and to warm [the] sun and to melt
Cho nên, cứ sáng ra, mỗi người đi nhặt bánh vừa đủ ăn trong ngày; và khi nắng chiếu nóng mặt đất, bánh liền tan đi.
22 and to be in/on/with day [the] sixth to gather food: bread second two [the] omer to/for one and to come (in): come all leader [the] congregation and to tell to/for Moses
Ngày thứ sáu, họ nhặt gấp đôi phần bánh ngày thường, mỗi người chừng bốn lít. Các bậc huynh trưởng có đến hỏi Môi-se về việc này,
23 and to say to(wards) them he/she/it which to speak: speak LORD sabbath observance Sabbath holiness to/for LORD tomorrow [obj] which to bake to bake and [obj] which to boil to boil and [obj] all [the] to remain to rest to/for you to/for charge till [the] morning
ông đáp: “Theo huấn thị của Chúa Hằng Hữu, ngày mai là ngày Sa-bát thánh dành cho Chúa Hằng Hữu, mọi người đều nghỉ ngơi. Vậy, hôm nay cứ nấu nướng dư dả, để dành một phần cho ngày mai.”
24 and to rest [obj] him till [the] morning like/as as which to command Moses and not to stink and worm not to be in/on/with him
Phần bánh người ta để dành qua hôm sau theo lời Môi-se dặn, vẫn tốt lành, không sâu bọ, không hôi hám.
25 and to say Moses to eat him [the] day for Sabbath [the] day to/for LORD [the] day not to find him in/on/with land: country
Môi-se nói: “Đó là phần ăn ngày hôm nay, vì hôm nay là ngày Sa-bát của Chúa Hằng Hữu, sẽ không có bánh trên mặt đất.
26 six day to gather him and in/on/with day [the] seventh Sabbath not to be in/on/with him
Mọi người sẽ nhặt bánh trong sáu ngày, nhưng ngày thứ bảy là lễ Sa-bát sẽ không có bánh.”
27 and to be in/on/with day [the] seventh to come out: come from [the] people to/for to gather and not to find
Tuy nhiên, cũng có vài người cứ đi nhặt bánh ngày thứ bảy, nhưng chẳng được gì cả.
28 and to say LORD to(wards) Moses till where? to refuse to/for to keep: obey commandment my and instruction my
Chúa Hằng Hữu hỏi Môi-se: “Tại sao những người này không chịu nghe lời Ta?
29 to see: behold! for LORD to give: give to/for you [the] Sabbath upon so he/she/it to give: give to/for you in/on/with day [the] sixth food: bread day to dwell man: anyone underneath: stand him not to come out: come man: anyone from place his in/on/with day [the] seventh
Hãy nhớ rằng Chúa Hằng Hữu đã cho các con ngày sa-bát, vì thế vào ngày thứ sáu Ngài ban cho các con hai ngày bánh. Trong ngày thứ bảy, không ai được ra khỏi nhà nhặt bánh.”
30 and to cease [the] people in/on/with day [the] seventh
Vậy, người ta đều nghỉ ngơi ngày thứ bảy.
31 and to call: call by house: household Israel [obj] name his manna and he/she/it like/as seed coriander white and taste his like/as flatbread in/on/with honey
Người Ít-ra-ên gọi bánh này là ma-na, nó giống như hạt ngò, sắc trắng, và có vị ngọt như bánh mật ong.
32 and to say Moses this [the] word: thing which to command LORD fullness [the] omer from him to/for charge to/for generation your because to see: see [obj] [the] food: bread which to eat [obj] you in/on/with wilderness in/on/with to come out: send I [obj] you from land: country/planet Egypt
Môi-se truyền cho họ lệnh của Chúa Hằng Hữu: “Lấy hai lít ma-na để cất giữ, lưu truyền lại cho hậu thế thấy thứ bánh Chúa Hằng Hữu dùng để nuôi người Ít-ra-ên trong hoang mạc sau khi rút họ ra khỏi Ai Cập.”
33 and to say Moses to(wards) Aaron to take: take jar one and to give: if only! there [to] fullness [the] omer manna and to rest [obj] him to/for face: before LORD to/for charge to/for generation your
Vậy, Môi-se bảo A-rôn lấy một cái bình đổ hai lít ma-na vào, để giữ lại trước mặt Chúa Hằng Hữu từ thế hệ này sang thế hệ khác.
34 like/as as which to command LORD to(wards) Moses and to rest him Aaron to/for face: before [the] testimony to/for charge
A-rôn vâng lời, làm theo lệnh Chúa Hằng Hữu truyền cho Môi-se. Bình ma-na vì thế được để trong “Hòm Giao Ước.”
35 and son: descendant/people Israel to eat [obj] [the] manna forty year till to come (in): come they to(wards) land: country/planet to dwell [obj] [the] manna to eat till to come (in): come they to(wards) end land: country/planet Canaan
Người Ít-ra-ên ăn ma-na trong suốt bốn mươi năm cho đến khi vào đất Ca-na-an, là nơi họ định cư.
36 and [the] omer tenth [the] ephah he/she/it
Thùng chứa được dùng để do lường ma-na là một ô-me bằng một phần mười ê-pha.
