၁ဇေရဇ်မင်းသည်ပေရသိပြည်ရှုရှန်မြို့တော် ရာဇပလ္လင်ထက်နန်းစံ၍အိန္ဒိယပြည်မှသည် ဆူဒန်ပြည်တိုင်အောင် တစ်ရာနှစ်ဆယ့်ခုနစ် ပြည်နယ်တို့ကိုအုပ်စိုးတော်မူ၏။

၃သူသည်နန်းစံတတိယနှစ်၌မိမိ၏မှူးမတ် များနှင့် မင်းအရာရှိအပေါင်းတို့အား စား သောက်ပွဲကြီးကိုတည်ခင်းကျွေးမွေးတော် မူ၏။ ထိုပွဲသို့ပေရသိနှင့်မေဒိတပ်မ တော်များ၊ ပြည်နယ်ဘုရင်ခံများနှင့်မှူး မတ်များလည်းတက်ရောက်ကြလေသည်။-

၅ထိုနောက်မင်းကြီးသည်ဆင်းရဲချမ်းသာမရွေး၊ ရှုရှန်မြို့တော်သူမြို့တော်သားအပေါင်းတို့ အား စားသောက်ပွဲကြီးကိုတည်ခင်းကျွေးမွေး တော်မူ၏။ ထိုစားသောက်ပွဲကြီးကိုဘုရင့် နန်းတော်ဥယျာဉ်အတွင်း၌ ခုနစ်ရက်ပတ် လုံးကျင်းပတော်မူ၏။-

၆ဥယျာဉ်တော်ဝင်းတွင်ငွေကွင်းတပ်ထား သည့်ကျောက်ဖြူတိုင်များ၌ ပိတ်ချောအဖြူ အပြာကန့်လန့်ကာများကိုမရမ်းစေ့ရောင် ပိတ်ကြိုးများဖြင့်ချည်၍တန်ဆာဆင်ထား ၏။ ကျောက်ဖြူ၊ ကျောက်သလင်း၊ ကနုကမာ၊ စိမ်းပြာကျောက်များနှင့်အကွက်ဖော်၍ခင်း ထားသည့်ဥယျာဉ်တော်ဝင်းအတွင်း၌ ရွှေ နှင့်ငွေတို့ဖြင့်ပြီးသောညောင်စောင်းများ ကိုလည်းထားရှိလေသည်။-

၇မင်းကြီးသည်စပျစ်ရည်ကိုရွှေဖလားများ နှင့်ထည့်၍တိုက်စေတော်မူ၏။ ထိုဖလားတို့ သည်တစ်ခုနှင့်တစ်ခုဆင်သည်ဟူ၍မရှိ ပေ။ စပျစ်ရည်ကိုရက်ရောစွာတိုက်စေတော် မူ၏။-

၈အကန့်အသတ်မရှိဘဲ လူတိုင်းအလိုရှိ သလောက်သောက်သုံးနိုင်စေရန် နန်းတော် အစေခံတို့အားမိန့်မှာထားတော်မူ၏။

၉ထိုအတောအတွင်း၌ဝါရှတိမိဖုရားသည် လည်းနန်းတွင်း၌ အမျိုးသမီးများအားစား သောက်ပွဲကြီးကိုတည်ခင်းကျွေးမွေးလျက် နေပေသည်။
10 in/on/with day [the] seventh like/as be pleasing heart [the] king in/on/with wine to say to/for Mehuman Biztha Harbona Bigtha and Abagtha Zethar and Carkas seven [the] eunuch [the] to minister with face: before [the] king Ahasuerus
၁၀ပွဲတော်သတ္တမနေ့ရက်ရောက်သောအခါ မင်း ကြီးသည်စပျစ်ရည်သောက်၍ရွှင်လန်းသော အခါ အပါးတော်မြဲမိန်းမစိုးခုနစ်ယောက် ဖြစ်ကြသောမဟုမန်၊ ဗိဇသ၊ ဟာဗောန၊ ဗိဂသ၊ အဗာဂသ၊ ဇေသာ၊ ကာကတ်တို့ ကိုခေါ်ယူကာ၊-

၁၁မိဖုရားဝါရှတိအားရာဇသရဖူဆောင်း စေ၍ ရှေ့တော်သို့သွင်းရန်အမိန့်ပေးတော် မူ၏။ မိဖုရားသည်အဆင်းလှသောအမျိုး သမီးဖြစ်သဖြင့် မင်းကြီးသည်သူ၏အဆင်း ကိုမှူးမတ်များနှင့်ဧည့်သည်တော်အပေါင်း တို့အားပြစားလိုပေသည်။-

၁၂သို့ရာတွင်ဝါရှတိသည်ဘုရင့်အမိန့်တော် ကိုဖီဆန်၍ ရှေ့တော်သို့မဝင်ဘဲနေသဖြင့် မင်းကြီးသည်အမျက်ဒေါသခြောင်းခြောင်း ထွက်တော်မူလေသည်။

၁၃ဘုရင်တို့မည်သည် ငြိမ်ဝပ်ပိပြားရေးဆိုင် ရာပြဿနာများနှင့်ပတ်သက်၍ တရား ဥပဒေသကျွမ်းကျင်သူတို့၏အကြံ ဉာဏ်ကိုတောင်းခံကြစမြဲဖြစ်သည်နှင့် အညီ မင်းကြီးသည်ဤအမှုကိစ္စတွင် အဘယ်သို့ဆောင်ရွက်သင့်သည်ကိုမေး မြန်းရန်အကြံပေးအရာရှိများကို ခေါ်ယူတော်မူ၏။-

၁၆ထိုအခါမမုကန်သည်မင်းကြီးနှင့်မှူး မတ်တို့အား``ဝါရှတိမိဖုရားသည်ဘုရင် မင်းမြတ်ကိုသာလျှင်စော်ကားသည်မဟုတ် ပါ။ ဘုရင့်မှူးကြီးမတ်ရာတို့ကိုလည်းစော် ကားပေသည်။ အကယ်စင်စစ်သူသည်အင် ပါယာနိုင်ငံတစ်ဝှမ်းလုံးရှိအမျိုးသား အပေါင်းတို့ကိုစော်ကားပါ၏။-

၁၇အင်ပါယာနိုင်ငံတစ်ဝှမ်းလုံးရှိအမျိုး သမီးအပေါင်းသည် မိဖုရားပြုသည့်အမှု ကိုကြားသိလျှင် မိမိတို့ခင်ပွန်းများအား အထင်သေးကြပါလိမ့်မည်။ သူတို့က``ဇေရဇ် မင်းသည်ဝါရှတိမိဖုရားအားအမိန့်ပေး ၍ခေါ်ယူပါသော်လည်း မိဖုရားကအမိန့် တော်ကိုမနာခံပါဟုပြောဆိုကြပါ လိမ့်မည်။-

၁၈မိဖုရား၏အပြုအမူကိုကြားသိရ သည့်ပေရသိနှင့် မေဒိမှူးမတ်ကတော်တို့ သည်နေမဝင်မီမှူးမတ်တို့အား ထိုအကြောင်း ကိုပြောကြားကြပါလိမ့်မည်။ အမျိုးသမီး များသည်မိမိတို့ခင်ပွန်းတို့အားမထီ မဲ့မြင်ပြု၍ အမျိုးသားတို့သည်မိမိတို့ ၏ဇနီးတို့အားဒေါသအမျက်ထွက်ကြ လိမ့်မည်။-

၁၉အရှင်မင်းကြီးသဘောတူတော်မူပါလျှင် ဝါရှတိမိဖုရားအားနောင်အဘယ်အခါ ၌မျှ ရှေ့တော်သို့ဝင်ခွင့်မပြုကြောင်းရာဇ အမိန့်ကြေငြာချက်ကိုထုတ်ပြန်တော်မူ ပါ။ ထိုအမိန့်တော်ကိုနောင်အဘယ်အခါ ၌မျှမပြောင်းမလဲနိုင်စိမ့်သောငှာ ပေရသိ၊ မေဒိဋ္ဌမ္မသတ်များတွင်ထည့်သွင်းရေးမှတ် ၍ထားတော်မူပါ။ ထိုနောက်မိဖုရား၏ ရာထူးကို သူ့ထက်သာသည့်အမျိုးသမီး တစ်ဦးအားချီးမြှင့်တော်မူပါ။-

၂၀အရှင်၏အမိန့်တော်ကို ဤကျယ်ဝန်းသည့် အင်ပါယာနိုင်ငံတော်တစ်လျှောက်လုံးတွင် ကြေညာလိုက်သောအခါ အမျိုးသမီး အပေါင်းတို့သည်မိမိတို့၏ခင်ပွန်းများ အားဆင်းရဲသည်ဖြစ်စေ၊ ချမ်းသာသည် ဖြစ်စေရိုသေကြပါလိမ့်မည်'' ဟုလျှောက် ၏။

၂၁မင်းကြီးနှင့်မှူးမတ်တို့သည် ဤစကားကို နှစ်သက်သဘောကျကြ၏။ သို့ဖြစ်၍မင်း ကြီးသည်မမုကန်အကြံပေးသည့် အတိုင်းပြုတော်မူ၏။-
22 and to send: depart scroll: document to(wards) all province [the] king to(wards) province and province like/as writing her and to(wards) people and people like/as tongue: language his to/for to be all man to rule in/on/with house: household his and to speak: speak like/as tongue: language people his
၂၂သူသည်မိမိ၏နယ်ပယ်ရှိသမျှတို့သို့သံ တမန်များကိုစေလွှတ်၍ ဒေသဆိုင်ရာဘာ သာစကားဖြင့်``ခင်ပွန်းဖြစ်သူသည် မိမိအိမ် ထောင်တွင်ဦးစီးခေါင်းဆောင်ဖြစ်စေရမည်။ သူ၏စကားကိုမလွန်ဆန်ရ'' ဟူ၍အမိန့် ထုတ်ပြန်တော်မူ၏။
