Ecclesiastes 2
1 to say I in/on/with heart my to go: come! [emph?] please to test you in/on/with joy and to see: enjoy in/on/with good and behold also he/she/it vanity
Da dachte ich bei mir in meinem Herzen: »Wohlan denn, ich will es einmal mit der Freude und dem Lebensgenuß versuchen!« Aber siehe, auch das war nichtig.
2 to/for laughter to say to boast: rave madly and to/for joy what? this to make: do
Vom Lachen mußte ich sagen: »Unsinn ist das!« und von der Freude: »Wozu soll die dienen?«
3 to spy in/on/with heart my to/for to draw in/on/with wine [obj] flesh my and heart my to lead in/on/with wisdom and to/for to grasp in/on/with folly till which to see: see where? this pleasant to/for son: child [the] man which to make: do underneath: under [the] heaven number day life their
Ich faßte den Entschluß, meinem Leibe mit Wein gütlich zu tun – allerdings so, daß mein Verstand die Leitung mit Besonnenheit behielte – und mich an die Torheit zu halten, bis ich sähe, was für die Menschenkinder das Beste sei, daß sie es täten unter dem Himmel während der ganzen Dauer ihres Lebens.
4 to magnify deed: work my to build to/for me house: home to plant to/for me vineyard
Ich unternahm große Werke: ich baute mir Häuser, pflanzte mir Weinberge,
5 to make to/for me garden and park and to plant in/on/with them tree all fruit
legte mir Gärten und Parke an und pflanzte darin Fruchtbäume jeder Art;
6 to make to/for me pool water to/for to water: watering from them wood to spring tree
ich legte mir Wasserteiche an, um aus ihnen den Wald mit seinem üppigen Baumwuchs zu bewässern;
7 to buy servant/slave and maidservant and son: child house: home to be to/for me also livestock cattle and flock to multiply to be to/for me from all which/that to be to/for face: before my in/on/with Jerusalem
ich kaufte Knechte und Mägde, hatte auch Gesinde, das in meinem Hause geboren war, und besaß auch große Herden von Rindern und Kleinvieh, größere als irgend jemand vor mir sie in Jerusalem besessen hatte.
8 to gather to/for me also silver: money and gold and possession king and [the] province to make: offer to/for me to sing and to sing and luxury son: child [the] man concubine and concubine
Ich häufte mir auch Silber und Gold an, die Schätze von Königen und Ländern, schaffte mir Sänger und Sängerinnen an und, was die Hauptlust der Menschen ist: Frauen über Frauen.
9 and to magnify and to add from all which/that to be to/for face: before my in/on/with Jerusalem also wisdom my to stand: stand to/for me
So stand ich groß da und tat es allen zuvor, die vor mir in Jersualem gelebt hatten; dabei war mir auch meine Weisheit verblieben.
10 and all which to ask eye my not to reserve from them not to withhold [obj] heart my from all joy for heart my glad from all trouble my and this to be portion my from all trouble my
Nichts von allem, wonach meine Augen Verlangen trugen, versagte ich ihnen, keinen Wunsch ließ ich meinem Herzen unerfüllt; denn mein Herz sollte Freude haben von all meinem Schaffen, und das sollte mir der Lohn für alle meine Mühe sein.
11 and to turn I in/on/with all deed: work my which/that to make: do hand my and in/on/with trouble which/that to toil to/for to make: do and behold [the] all vanity and longing spirit: breath and nothing advantage underneath: under [the] sun
Doch als ich nun alle Werke prüfend betrachtete, die meine Hände geschaffen, und die Mühe erwog, die ich auf ihre Ausführung verwandt hatte: ach, da war das alles nichtig und ein Haschen nach Wind, und es kommt nirgends ein Gewinn heraus unter der Sonne.
12 and to turn I to/for to see: examine wisdom and madness and folly for what? [the] man which/that to come (in): come after [the] king [obj] which already to make: do him
b Denn was wird der Mensch tun, der nach mir, dem Könige, kommen wird? Dasselbe, was man immer schon getan hat. a Hierauf wandte ich mich dazu, den Wert der Weisheit neben der Torheit und dem Unverstand festzustellen.
13 and to see: see I which/that there advantage to/for wisdom from [the] folly like/as advantage [the] light from [the] darkness
Da sah ich denn ein, daß die Weisheit einen Vorzug vor der Torheit hat, wie das Licht einen Vorzug vor der Finsternis besitzt;
14 [the] wise eye his in/on/with head his and [the] fool in/on/with darkness to go: walk and to know also I which/that accident one to meet [obj] all their
der Weise hat ja Augen im Kopf, während der Tor im Finstern wandelt. Zugleich erkannte ich aber auch, daß das gleiche Geschick alle (beide) trifft.
15 and to say I in/on/with heart my like/as accident [the] fool also I to meet me and to/for what? be wise I then advantage and to speak: speak in/on/with heart my which/that also this vanity
Da dachte ich bei mir in meinem Herzen: »Wenn mich dasselbe Geschick trifft wie den Toren, wozu bin ich dann so besonders weise gewesen?« So mußte ich mir denn sagen, daß auch dies nichtig sei.
16 for nothing memorial to/for wise with [the] fool to/for forever: enduring in/on/with which/that already [the] day [the] to come (in): come [the] all to forget and how? to die [the] wise with [the] fool
Denn der Weise hinterläßt ebensowenig wie der Tor ein ewiges Gedenken, weil ja in den künftigen Tagen alles längst vergessen sein wird; ach ja, wie stirbt doch der Weise samt dem Toren dahin!
17 and to hate [obj] [the] life for bad: harmful upon me [the] deed: work which/that to make: do underneath: under [the] sun for [the] all vanity and longing spirit: breath
So wurde mir denn das Leben verhaßt, denn mir mißfiel alles Tun, das unter der Sonne stattfindet; alles ist ja nichtig und ein Haschen nach Wind!
18 and to hate I [obj] all trouble my which/that I laborious underneath: under [the] sun which/that to rest him to/for man which/that to be after me
Da wurde mir alles Bemühen, das ich bis dahin unter der Sonne aufgewandt hatte, verleidet, weil ich ja das durch meine Mühe Geschaffene einem (andern) überlassen muß, der mein Nachfolger sein wird;
19 and who? to know wise to be or fool and to domineer in/on/with all trouble my which/that to toil and which/that be wise underneath: under [the] sun also this vanity
und wer kann wissen, ob der weise sein wird oder ein Tor? Und doch wird er schalten und walten über alle meine Mühe, über das, was ich durch meine Weisheit unter der Sonne zustande gebracht habe. Auch das ist nichtig.
20 and to turn: turn I to/for to despair [obj] heart my upon all [the] trouble which/that to toil underneath: under [the] sun
So kam es denn mit mir dahin, daß ich mich der Verzweiflung überließ wegen all der Mühe, die ich unter der Sonne aufgewandt hatte.
21 for there man which/that trouble his in/on/with wisdom and in/on/with knowledge and in/on/with skill and to/for man which/that not to toil in/on/with him to give: put him portion his also this vanity and distress: evil many
Denn es kommt vor, daß ein Mensch sich mit Weisheit, Einsicht und Tüchtigkeit abgemüht hat und dann den Ertrag seiner Arbeit einem (andern) überlassen muß, der sich gar nicht darum gemüht hat. Auch das ist nichtig und ein großer Übelstand.
22 for what? to be to/for man in/on/with all trouble his and in/on/with striving heart his which/that he/she/it laborious underneath: under [the] sun
Denn welchen Nutzen hat der Mensch von all seiner Mühe und von dem Streben seines Geistes, womit er sich unter der Sonne abmüht,
23 for all day his pain and vexation task his also in/on/with night not to lie down: sleep heart his also this vanity he/she/it
wenn alle seine Tage leidvoll sind und Widerwärtigkeit sein ganzes Schaffen und nicht einmal bei Nacht sein Geist Ruhe findet? Auch das ist nichtig.
24 nothing pleasant in/on/with man which/that to eat and to drink and to see: enjoy [obj] soul: myself his good in/on/with trouble his also this to see: see I for from hand: power [the] God he/she/it
So gibt es denn für den Menschen nichts Besseres, als daß er ißt und trinkt und sein Herz bei seiner Mühsal guter Dinge sein läßt. Freilich habe ich erkannt, daß auch dies von der Hand Gottes abhängt;
25 for who? to eat and who? to enjoy outside from me
denn wer kann essen und wer genießen ohne sein Zutun?
26 for to/for man which/that pleasant to/for face: before his to give: give wisdom and knowledge and joy and to/for to sin to give: give task to/for to gather and to/for to gather to/for to give: give to/for pleasant to/for face: before [the] God also this vanity and longing spirit: breath
Denn einem Menschen, der ihm wohlgefällt, gibt Gott Weisheit, Einsicht und Freude, dem Sünder aber gibt er das leidige Geschäft, zu sammeln und zusammenzuscharren, um es hernach dem zu überlassen, der Gott wohlgefällig ist. Auch das ist nichtig und ein Haschen nach Wind.
