Deuteronomy 2

Akhirnya kita kembali ke padang gurun lewat jalan yang menuju ke Teluk Akaba, seperti yang diperintahkan TUHAN. Lama kita mengembara di daerah pegunungan Edom.
2 and to say LORD to(wards) me to/for to say
Lalu TUHAN berkata kepada saya
3 many to/for you to turn: surround [obj] [the] mountain: hill country [the] this to turn to/for you north [to]
bahwa sudah cukup lama kita mengembara di daerah itu. Jadi kita harus pergi ke utara.
4 and [obj] [the] people to command to/for to say you(m. p.) to pass in/on/with border: area brother: compatriot your son: descendant/people Esau [the] to dwell in/on/with Seir and to fear from you and to keep: careful much
Kemudian TUHAN menyuruh saya memberi petunjuk-petunjuk ini kepadamu, 'Tidak lama lagi kamu akan memasuki negeri Edom, daerah saudara-saudaramu, keturunan Esau. Mereka akan takut kepadamu,
5 not to stir up in/on/with them for not to give: give to/for you from land: country/planet their till treading palm: sole foot for possession to/for Esau to give: give [obj] mountain: mount (Mount) Seir
tetapi kamu tak boleh menyerang mereka, sebab dari tanah mereka sedikit pun tak akan Kuberikan kepadamu, karena daerah Edom sudah Kuberikan kepada keturunan Esau.
6 food to buy grain from with them in/on/with silver: money and to eat and also water to trade from with them in/on/with silver: money and to drink
Kamu boleh membeli makanan dan minuman dari mereka.'
7 for LORD God your to bless you in/on/with all deed: work hand your to know to go: went you [obj] [the] wilderness [the] great: large [the] this this forty year LORD God your with you not to lack word: thing
Ingatlah bagaimana TUHAN Allahmu telah memberkati kamu dalam segala yang kamu lakukan. Ia memelihara kamu selama kamu mengembara di padang gurun yang luas ini. Ia melindungi kamu selama empat puluh tahun ini dan memberi segala yang kamu perlukan.
8 and to pass from with brother: compatriot our son: descendant/people Esau [the] to dwell in/on/with Seir from way: road [the] Arabah from Elath and from Ezion-geber Ezion-geber and to turn and to pass way: direction wilderness Moab
Kemudian kita berjalan terus, meninggalkan jalan yang melalui kota-kota Elat dan Ezion-Geber menuju ke Laut Mati, lalu belok ke timur laut menuju Gurun Moab.
9 and to say LORD to(wards) me to(wards) to provoke [obj] Moab and not to stir up in/on/with them battle for not to give: give to/for you from land: country/planet his possession for to/for son: descendant/people Lot to give: give [obj] Ar possession
TUHAN berkata kepada saya, 'Orang Moab, keturunan Lot, tak boleh kamu ganggu. Jangan juga menyerang mereka. Negeri Ar telah Kuberikan kepada mereka dan dari tanah mereka sedikit pun tak akan Kuberikan kepadamu.'"

(Dahulu Ar didiami oleh orang Emim. Mereka besar perawakannya, sama dengan orang Enak, juga bangsa raksasa.

Seperti orang Enak, mereka juga disebut orang Refaim, akan tetapi orang Moab menamakan mereka orang Emim.
12 and in/on/with Seir to dwell [the] Horite to/for face: before and son: descendant/people Esau to possess: take them and to destroy them from face: before their and to dwell underneath: instead them like/as as which to make: do Israel to/for land: country/planet possession his which to give: give LORD to/for them
Dahulu orang Hori tinggal di Edom, tetapi diusir dan dimusnahkan oleh keturunan Esau, yang kemudian menduduki tanah mereka; begitu juga bangsa Israel di kemudian hari mengusir musuh-musuhnya dari tanah yang diberikan TUHAN kepada mereka.)

"Kemudian kita menyeberangi Sungai Zered seperti yang diperintahkan TUHAN kepada kita.

Itu terjadi tiga puluh delapan tahun sesudah kita meninggalkan Kades-Barnea. Semua prajurit dari angkatan itu sudah mati seperti yang dikatakan TUHAN.
15 and also hand: power LORD to be in/on/with them to/for to confuse them from entrails: among [the] camp till to finish they
TUHAN terus-menerus melawan mereka sampai akhirnya mereka semua binasa.
16 and to be like/as as which to finish all human [the] battle to/for to die from entrails: among [the] people
Sesudah mereka semua mati,
17 and to speak: speak LORD to(wards) me to/for to say
TUHAN berkata kepada kita,
18 you(m. s.) to pass [the] day [obj] border: boundary Moab [obj] Ar
'Hari ini kamu melalui daerah Moab, lewat negeri Ar.
19 and to present: come opposite son: descendant/people Ammon not to provoke them and not to stir up in/on/with them for not to give: give from land: country/planet son: descendant/people Ammon to/for you possession for to/for son: descendant/people Lot to give: give her possession
Maka kamu sampai ke dekat tanah orang Amon, keturunan Lot. Janganlah mengganggu atau menyerang mereka, sebab dari tanah yang sudah Kuberikan kepada mereka, sedikit pun tak ada yang akan Kuberikan kepadamu.'"

(Daerah itu juga terkenal sebagai negeri Refaim, nama bangsa yang dahulu tinggal di situ; oleh orang Amon mereka dinamakan orang Zamzumim.
21 people great: large and many and to exalt like/as Anakite and to destroy them LORD from face: before their and to possess: take them and to dwell underneath: instead them
Seperti orang Enak, mereka juga besar perawakannya. Mereka sangat kuat, dan jumlahnya banyak. Tetapi TUHAN membinasakan mereka, sehingga orang Amon merebut tanah itu, lalu berdiam di situ.
22 like/as as which to make: do to/for son: descendant/people Esau [the] to dwell in/on/with Seir which to destroy [obj] [the] Horite from face: before their and to possess: take them and to dwell underneath: instead them till [the] day [the] this
Begitu juga dilakukan TUHAN untuk orang Edom, keturunan Esau, yang mendiami daerah pegunungan Edom. TUHAN membinasakan orang Hori, sehingga orang Edom merebut tanah itu dan mendudukinya, lalu menetap di situ sampai sekarang.
23 and [the] Avvim [the] to dwell in/on/with village till Gaza Caphtorim [the] to come out: come from Caphtor to destroy them and to dwell underneath: instead them
Tanah di sepanjang pantai Laut Tengah diduduki orang-orang dari pulau Kreta. Mereka telah membinasakan orang Awi, penduduk asli tanah itu, lalu menduduki daerah itu sampai ke selatan sejauh kota Gaza.)

"Sesudah kita melewati daerah Moab, TUHAN berkata kepada kita, 'Pergilah sekarang menyeberangi Sungai Arnon. Aku akan menyerahkan kepadamu Sihon, raja Amori yang memerintah di Hesybon, bersama-sama dengan negerinya. Seranglah dia, lalu dudukilah tanahnya.

Mulai hari ini Aku akan membuat kamu ditakuti bangsa-bangsa di mana saja. Setiap orang akan gemetar ketakutan bila mendengar tentang kamu.'"

"Kemudian saya mengirim beberapa utusan dari padang gurun Kedemot kepada Raja Sihon dari Hesybon untuk menyampaikan usul perdamaian ini:
27 to pass in/on/with land: country/planet your in/on/with way: journey in/on/with way: road to go: went not to turn aside: turn aside right and left
'Izinkan kami melalui negeri Tuanku. Kami akan berjalan terus dan tidak menyimpang dari jalan raya.

Kami akan membayar makanan yang kami makan dan air yang kami minum. Kami hanya perlu melalui negeri ini,
29 like/as as which to make: do to/for me son: descendant/people Esau [the] to dwell in/on/with Seir and [the] Moabite [the] to dwell in/on/with Ar till which to pass [obj] [the] Jordan to(wards) [the] land: country/planet which LORD God our to give: give to/for us
sampai kami menyeberangi Sungai Yordan untuk masuk ke negeri yang diberikan TUHAN Allah kami kepada kami. Keturunan Esau yang tinggal di Edom dan orang Moab yang tinggal di Ar juga sudah mengizinkan kami melalui daerah mereka.'

Tetapi Raja Sihon tidak mengizinkan kita melalui negerinya itu. TUHAN Allahmu membuat dia keras kepala dan nekat supaya kita dapat mengalahkan dia. Daerahnya masih kita duduki sampai sekarang.
31 and to say LORD to(wards) me to see: behold! to profane/begin: begin to give: give to/for face: before your [obj] Sihon and [obj] land: country/planet his to profane/begin: begin to possess: take to/for to possess: take [obj] land: country/planet his
Kemudian TUHAN berkata kepada saya, 'Raja Sihon dan negerinya Kuserahkan kepadamu; ambillah dan dudukilah negeri itu.'
32 and to come out: come Sihon to/for to encounter: toward us he/she/it and all people his to/for battle Jahaz [to]
Maka datanglah Sihon dengan seluruh pasukannya untuk memerangi kita dekat kota Yahas.
33 and to give: give him LORD God our to/for face: before our and to smite [obj] him and [obj] (son: child his *Q(K)*) and [obj] all people his
Tetapi TUHAN Allah kita menyerahkan dia kepada kita, lalu kita mengalahkan dia beserta anak-anaknya dan seluruh tentaranya.
34 and to capture [obj] all city his in/on/with time [the] he/she/it and to devote/destroy [obj] all city man and [the] woman and [the] child not to remain survivor
Pada waktu itu juga kita rebut dan hancurkan setiap kota, dan bunuh seluruh penduduknya, laki-laki, perempuan, dan anak-anak. Tak ada yang dibiarkan hidup.
35 except [the] animal to plunder to/for us and spoil [the] city which to capture
Ternak mereka kita ambil dan kota-kotanya kita rampasi.
36 from Aroer which upon lip: edge torrent: valley Arnon and [the] city which in/on/with torrent: valley and till [the] Gilead not to be town which to exalt from us [obj] [the] all to give: give LORD God our to/for face of our
Dengan pertolongan TUHAN Allah kita, kita dapat merebut semua kota itu, mulai dari Aroer, di ujung Lembah Arnon, dan kota di tengah lembah itu, sampai ke daerah Gilead. Tak ada kota yang temboknya terlalu kuat bagi kita.
37 except to(wards) land: country/planet son: child Ammon not to present: come all hand: to torrent: river Jabbok and city [the] mountain: hill country and all which to command LORD God our
Tetapi kita tidak mendekati daerah orang Amon atau tepi Sungai Yabok atau kota-kota di daerah pegunungan atau tempat lain mana pun yang dilarang TUHAN Allah kita."
