Amos 8
1 thus to see: see me Lord YHWH/God and behold basket summer
Soleis let Herren, Herren meg sjå: Der stod ei korg med mogi frukt.

Og han sagde: «Kva er det du ser, Amos?» Eg svara: «Ei korg med mogi frukt.» Og Herren sagde: «Haust-moge er mitt folk Israel. Eg vil’kje bera yver med det meir.

Og slotts-songarn’ yling vert på dagen den, » segjer Herren, Herren. Lik er i mengd kvar ein stad stilt slengde av.
4 to hear: hear this [the] to crush needy and to/for to cease (afflicted *Q(K)*) land: country/planet
Høyr dette, de som snikjer etter fatigmann, de som tynar småfolk i landet,
5 to/for to say how to pass [the] month: new moon and to buy grain grain and [the] Sabbath and to open grain to/for be small ephah and to/for to magnify shekel and to/for to pervert balance deceit
De som segjer: «Når er nymåne-helgi slutt, so me kann få kornet vårt selja, og sabbaten, so me inn i kornburet slepp og kann minka vårt mål og auka vår pris og driva fusk med vegti,
6 to/for to buy in/on/with silver: money poor and needy in/on/with for the sake of sandal and refuse grain to buy grain
Og armingen kjøpa for gull og stakaren for eit par skor, og so lata deim lettkornet få?»
7 to swear LORD in/on/with pride Jacob if: surely yes to forget to/for perpetuity all deed their
Ved Jakobs byrgskap Herren svor: Aldri skal alt dykkar verk verta gløymt.
8 upon this not to tremble [the] land: country/planet and to mourn all to dwell in/on/with her and to ascend: rise like/as Nile all her and to drive out: drive out (and to sink *Q(K)*) like/as Nile Egypt
Skulde’kje for slikt då skjelva jordi og heile mannheimen syrgja, og reint gå i flaum som Nilen, stiga og falla som Egyptarelvi?
9 and to be in/on/with day [the] he/she/it utterance Lord YHWH/God and to come (in): (sun)set [the] sun in/on/with midday and to darken to/for land: country/planet in/on/with day light
Og det hender på dagen den, segjer Herren, Herren, ved høgstdags bil let eg sol gå ned, og jordi skal myrkna på ljosan dag.
10 and to overturn feast your to/for mourning and all song your to/for dirge and to ascend: establish upon all loin sackcloth and upon all head bald spot and to set: make her like/as mourning only and end her like/as day bitter
Dykkar helgar eg vendar til sorg, alle visor til syrgjesongar. Og sekk eg sveipar um kvar ei lend, gjer fleinskallut kvar ein haus, veld sorg som for einaste barn, gjer enden til ein uheils dag.
11 behold day to come (in): come utterance Lord YHWH/God and to send: depart famine in/on/with land: country/planet not famine to/for food: bread and not thirst to/for water that if: except if: except to/for to hear: hear [obj] word LORD
Sjå, dagar det koma skal, segjer Herren, Herren, då eg sender hunger i landet, ikkje hunger etter brød, ikkje torste etter vatn, men etter å høyra Herrens ord.
12 and to shake from sea till sea and from north and till east to rove to/for to seek [obj] word LORD and not to find
Og dei fer ifrå hav til hav, og dei sviv ifrå nord til aust, og dei leitar etter Herrens ord, men dei finn det ikkje.
13 in/on/with day [the] he/she/it to enwrap [the] virgin [the] beautiful and [the] youth in/on/with thirst
På den dagen skal fagre møyar og unge menn av torsten tynast,
14 [the] to swear in/on/with guiltiness Samaria and to say alive God your Dan and alive way: road Beersheba Beersheba and to fall: kill and not to arise: rise still
Dei som sver ved Samarias synd, og som segjer: «So sant din Gud liver, Dan, og so sant Be’ersebas vis liver.» Dei sig ned og ris aldri upp meir.
