Amos 8
1 thus to see: see me Lord YHWH/God and behold basket summer
Telle fut la vision qu'offrit à ma vue le Seigneur, l'Éternel; et voici, c'était une corbeille de fruits mûrs.

Et il dit: Que vois-tu, Amos? Et je dis: Une corbeille de fruits mûrs. Alors l'Éternel me dit: La fin vient pour mon peuple d'Israël, je ne lui pardonnerai plus désormais.

Et en ce jour-là, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel, les chants des palais seront des gémissements; il y aura nombre de cadavres, et partout on les jettera en silence.

Entendez-le, vous qui vous acharnez contre l'indigent pour anéantir les pauvres dans le pays,
5 to/for to say how to pass [the] month: new moon and to buy grain grain and [the] Sabbath and to open grain to/for be small ephah and to/for to magnify shekel and to/for to pervert balance deceit
qui dites: Quand sera passée la nouvelle lune, pour que nous vendions du blé? et le sabbat, pour que nous ouvrions les greniers, mesurant avec un épha réduit, pesant avec un sicle plus fort et faussant la balance pour frauder?
6 to/for to buy in/on/with silver: money poor and needy in/on/with for the sake of sandal and refuse grain to buy grain
que nous achetions les petits à prix d'argent, et les pauvres pour une paire de sandales, et vendions les criblures du blé?

L'Éternel le jure par la gloire de Jacob: Jamais je n'oublierai tout ce que vous avez fait.
8 upon this not to tremble [the] land: country/planet and to mourn all to dwell in/on/with her and to ascend: rise like/as Nile all her and to drive out: drive out (and to sink *Q(K)*) like/as Nile Egypt
Le pays n'en tremblera-t-il pas, et chacun de ses habitants n'en sera-t-il pas attristé? Ne se soulèvera-t-il pas tout entier comme un fleuve? ne se gonflera-t-il pas pour s'affaisser comme le fleuve d'Egypte?
9 and to be in/on/with day [the] he/she/it utterance Lord YHWH/God and to come (in): (sun)set [the] sun in/on/with midday and to darken to/for land: country/planet in/on/with day light
Et en ce jour-là, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel, je ferai coucher le soleil à midi, et j'obscurcirai le pays en plein jour.
10 and to overturn feast your to/for mourning and all song your to/for dirge and to ascend: establish upon all loin sackcloth and upon all head bald spot and to set: make her like/as mourning only and end her like/as day bitter
Et je changerai vos fêtes en deuil, et tous vos chants en complaintes, et je mettrai sur tous les reins le cilice, et je rendrai chauves toutes les têtes, et je couvrirai [le pays] du deuil qu'on prend pour un fils unique, et sa fin sera comme un jour d'amertume.
11 behold day to come (in): come utterance Lord YHWH/God and to send: depart famine in/on/with land: country/planet not famine to/for food: bread and not thirst to/for water that if: except if: except to/for to hear: hear [obj] word LORD
Voici, des jours viennent, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel, où j'enverrai une disette dans le pays, non point une disette de pain, ni une soif d'eau, mais celle d'ouïr les paroles de l'Éternel.
12 and to shake from sea till sea and from north and till east to rove to/for to seek [obj] word LORD and not to find
Alors ils seront errants d'une mer à l'autre mer, et vers le nord et vers l'orient ils se précipiteront pour aller en quête de la parole de l'Éternel, mais ils ne la trouveront pas.
13 in/on/with day [the] he/she/it to enwrap [the] virgin [the] beautiful and [the] youth in/on/with thirst
Dans ce temps-là les belles vierges et les jeunes hommes languiront altérés.
14 [the] to swear in/on/with guiltiness Samaria and to say alive God your Dan and alive way: road Beersheba Beersheba and to fall: kill and not to arise: rise still
Ceux qui jurent par le délit de Samarie et disent: « Par la vie de ton Dieu, Dan! et vive la voie de Béerséba! » tomberont pour ne plus se relever.
