cho đến ngày Ngài được tiếp đón về trời sau khi Ngài cậy Chúa Thánh Linh ban huấn thị cho các sứ đồ Ngài đã chọn.

Chúa nêu nhiều bằng cớ vững chắc chứng tỏ Ngài đang sống sau khi chịu đóng đinh. Suốt bốn mươi ngày, Chúa cho các sứ đồ gặp Ngài nhiều lần để dạy họ về Nước của Đức Chúa Trời.

Khi họp mặt, Chúa phán dặn: “Các con đừng vội ra khỏi thành Giê-ru-sa-lem, nhưng phải ở lại chờ đợi điều Cha hứa, như Ta đã nói trước.

Dạy bảo các sứ đồ xong, Chúa được tiếp rước lên trời đang khi họ ngắm nhìn Ngài. Một đám mây che khuất Chúa, không ai còn trông thấy nữa.

Các sứ đồ còn đăm đăm nhìn lên trời, thình lình có hai người đàn ông mặc áo trắng đến gần.

Các môn đệ đề cử hai người là Giô-sép, tức là Ba-sa-ba (cũng gọi là Giúc-tu) và Ma-thia.
