Acts 23

ಪೌಲನು ನ್ಯಾಯಸಭೆಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರನ್ನು ದಿಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ನೋಡಿ, “ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಮನಸ್ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಿಂದ ನಾನು ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ನಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ,” ಎಂದನು.

ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕ ಅನನೀಯನು ಪೌಲನ ಬಳಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದವರಿಗೆ ಅವನ ಬಾಯಮೇಲೆ ಹೊಡೆಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.

ಆಗ ಪೌಲನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಸುಣ್ಣ ಬಳಿದ ಗೋಡೆಯೇ, ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆಯುವರು. ಮೋಶೆಯ ನಿಯಮದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯವಿಚಾರಣೆ ಮಾಡಲು ನೀನು ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡು, ನಿಯಮಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುತ್ತೀಯೋ?” ಎಂದನು.

ಪೌಲನ ಹತ್ತಿರ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದವರು, “ದೇವರು ನೇಮಿಸಿದ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನನ್ನು ನಿಂದಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀಯಾ?” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲು,

“ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನೆಂದು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ‘ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯ ಕುರಿತಾಗಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡಬಾರದು’ ಎಂದು ಪವಿತ್ರ ವೇದದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಪೌಲನು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸಭೆ ಸೇರಿದ್ದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಸದ್ದುಕಾಯರು, ಇನ್ನು ಕೆಲವರು ಫರಿಸಾಯರು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಪೌಲನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು ನ್ಯಾಯಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, “ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ನಾನು ಫರಿಸಾಯನು, ಫರಿಸಾಯನ ಮಗನು. ಸತ್ತವರ ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನದ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ನ್ಯಾಯವಿಚಾರಣೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ,” ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದನು.

ಪೌಲನು ಹಾಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದಾಗ ಫರಿಸಾಯರ ಮತ್ತು ಸದ್ದುಕಾಯರ ನಡುವೆ ಭೇದ ಉಂಟಾಯಿತು. ಇದರಿಂದ ಸಮೂಹವು ವಿಭಾಗವಾಯಿತು.

ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಸದ್ದುಕಾಯರು ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನ ಇಲ್ಲವೆಂದೂ ದೇವದೂತರಾಗಲಿ, ಆತ್ಮಗಳಾಗಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲವೆಂದೂ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಫರಿಸಾಯರು ಇವೆರಡನ್ನೂ ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

ಆಗ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗಲಭೆಯೇ ಉಂಟಾಯಿತು. ಫರಿಸಾಯರ ಪಕ್ಷದ ನಿಯಮ ಬೋಧಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಎದ್ದು, “ನಾವು ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ತಪ್ಪನ್ನು ಕಾಣುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆತ್ಮವಾಗಲಿ, ದೇವದೂತನಾಗಲಿ ಇವನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿರಬಹುದು,” ಎಂದು ವಾದಿಸಿದರು.

ಜನಸಮೂಹವು ಪೌಲನನ್ನು ಎಳೆದು ತುಂಡುತುಂಡಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವರೇನೋ ಎಂದು ಸಹಸ್ರಾಧಿಪತಿಗೆ ಬಹಳ ಭಯವಾಯಿತು. ಸೈನಿಕರ ಗುಂಪುಗಳು ಕೆಳಗಿಳಿದು ಹೋಗಿ ಬಲಪ್ರಯೋಗದಿಂದ ಪೌಲನನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಸೈನಿಕ ಪಾಳ್ಯದೊಳಗೆ ಬರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವನು ಸೈನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.

ಮರುದಿನ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಕರ್ತ ಯೇಸು ಪೌಲನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು, “ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದಿರು! ನೀನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಂತೆಯೇ ರೋಮಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಕೊಡತಕ್ಕದ್ದು,” ಎಂದರು.

ಮರುದಿನ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ರಹಸ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿಬಂದು, ಪೌಲನನ್ನು ತಾವು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವವರೆಗೆ ಅನ್ನಪಾನ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಶಪಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.

ಈ ಒಳಸಂಚಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜನ ಪುರುಷರಿದ್ದರು.

ಅವರು ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರ ಹಾಗೂ ಹಿರಿಯರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ, “ಪೌಲನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವವರೆಗೆ ನಾವು ಊಟಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಗಂಭೀರ ಶಪಥಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
15 now therefore/then you to show the/this/who military officer with the/this/who council that (tomorrow *K*) to bring down it/s/he (toward *N(k)O*) you as/when to ensue to decide stricter the/this/who about it/s/he me then before the/this/who to come near it/s/he ready to be the/this/who to kill it/s/he
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಈಗ ವಿಚಾರಣೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ನಿರ್ದಿಷ್ಟವಾದ ಮಾಹಿತಿಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂಬ ನೆಪದಿಂದ ಪೌಲನನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ ತರುವಂತೆ ನೀವೂ ನ್ಯಾಯಸಭೆಯೂ ಸಹಸ್ರಾಧಿಪತಿಯನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬರುವ ಮೊದಲೇ ಪೌಲನನ್ನು ನಾವು ಕೊಂದುಬಿಡುತ್ತೇವೆ,” ಎಂದರು.

ಈ ಒಳಸಂಚು ಪೌಲನ ಸಹೋದರಿಯ ಮಗನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಲು ಅವನು ಸೈನಿಕ ಪಾಳ್ಯದೊಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಪೌಲನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು.

ಆಗ ಪೌಲನು ಶತಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು, “ಈ ಯುವಕನನ್ನು ಸಹಸ್ರಾಧಿಪತಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿರಿ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಇವನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲು ಏನೋ ವಿಷಯವಿದೆಯಂತೆ,” ಎಂದನು.

ಅದರಂತೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಸಹಸ್ರಾಧಿಪತಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ, “ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸತಕ್ಕ ವಿಷಯವಿದೆಯೆಂದು ಸೆರೆಯವನಾದ ಪೌಲನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಈ ಯುವಕನನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿ ತರುವಂತೆ ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ,” ಎಂದನು.

ಸಹಸ್ರಾಧಿಪತಿಯು ಯುವಕನ ಕೈಹಿಡಿದು ಏಕಾಂತವಾಗಿ ಪಕ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದು, “ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದದ್ದು ಏನು?” ಎಂದನು.

ಆ ಯುವಕನು, “ಪೌಲನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಿರ್ದಿಷ್ಟ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷೆಯ ನೆಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ನ್ಯಾಯಸಭೆಯ ಮುಂದೆ ಕರೆತರುವಂತೆ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ನೀವು ಅವರ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡಿ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜನರು ಅವನಿಗಾಗಿ ಹೊಂಚುಹಾಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವವರೆಗೆ ಊಟಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಪಾನ ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಶಪಥ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಒಪ್ಪಿಗೆಯನ್ನೇ ಈಗ ಅವರು ಎದುರುನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

“ಈ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ವರದಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಹೇಳಬೇಡ,” ಎಂದು ಆ ಯುವಕನಿಗೆ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಸಹಸ್ರಾಧಿಪತಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
23 and to call to/summon two one the/this/who centurion to say to make ready soldier two hundred that to travel until Caesarea and horseman seventy and slinger two hundred away from third hour the/this/who night
ಆಮೇಲೆ ಸಹಸ್ರಾಧಿಪತಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಶತಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕರೆದು, “ಈ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಒಂಬತ್ತು ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಕೈಸರೈಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಲು ಇನ್ನೂರು ಜನ ಸೈನಿಕರನ್ನೂ ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಕುದುರೆ ಸವಾರರನ್ನೂ ಇನ್ನೂರು ಜನ ಭರ್ಜಿಧರಿಸಿದವರನ್ನೂ ಸಿದ್ಧಗೊಳಿಸಿರಿ.

ಕುದುರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ ಪೌಲನನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿಸಿ ಅವನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲ ಫೇಲಿಕ್ಸನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಲುಪುವಂತೆ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಮಾಡಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.

ಅವರಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಹೀಗೆ ಬರೆದುಕೊಟ್ಟನು:

ಮಹಾಪ್ರಭುಗಳಾದ ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲ ಫೇಲಿಕ್ಸ್, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕ್ಲೌದ್ಯ ಲೂಸ್ಯನು, ಮಾಡುವ ವಂದನೆಗಳು.

ಈ ಪೌಲನನ್ನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಬಂಧಿಸಿ, ಇವನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಸೈನಿಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಇವನನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿದೆನು. ಇವನು ರೋಮ್ ಪೌರ ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾಯಿತು.

ಅವರು ಏಕೆ ಪೌಲನ ಮೇಲೆ ದೋಷಾರೋಪಣೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಇವನನ್ನು ಅವರ ನ್ಯಾಯಸಭೆಯ ಮುಂದೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದೆನು.

ಇವನ ಮೇಲಿನ ದೋಷಾರೋಪಣೆ ಅವರ ನಿಯಮದ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟದ್ದು. ಇವನಲ್ಲಿ ಮರಣದಂಡನೆಗಾಗಲಿ, ಸೆರೆಮನೆಗಾಗಲಿ ಯೋಗ್ಯವಾದ ಯಾವ ಅಪರಾಧಗಳೂ ಇಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನಾನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

ಆದರೂ ಪೌಲನ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಒಂದು ಒಳಸಂಚು ನಡೆದಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ರಹಸ್ಯ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಬಂದದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಕೂಡಲೇ ಇವನನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಇವನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾದ ಆರೋಪಣೆಯನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಇವನ ವಿರೋಧಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

ಸೈನಿಕರು ಈ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯಂತೆ, ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪೌಲನನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅಂತಿಪತ್ರಿ ಎಂಬ ಊರಿನವರೆಗೆ ಹೋದರು.

ಮರುದಿನ ಪೌಲನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗಲು ಕುದುರೆಸವಾರರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಸೈನಿಕರು ಅವರ ಪಾಳ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿದರು.
33 who/which to enter toward the/this/who Caesarea and to deliver the/this/who epistle the/this/who ruler to stand by and the/this/who Paul it/s/he
ಅವರು ಕೈಸರೈಯವನ್ನು ತಲುಪಿ ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲನಿಗೆ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಪೌಲನನ್ನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.
