2 Samuel 23

௧தாவீதின் கடைசி வார்த்தைகள்: “மேன்மையாக உயர்த்தப்பட்டு, யாக்கோபுடைய தேவனால் அபிஷேகம் பெற்று, இஸ்ரவேலின் சங்கீதங்களை இனிமையாகப் பாடின ஈசாயின் மகனான தாவீது என்னும் மனிதன் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்;

2 spirit LORD to speak: speak in/on/with me and speech his upon tongue my

௨யெகோவாவுடைய ஆவியானவர் என்னைக்கொண்டு பேசினார்; அவருடைய வசனம் என்னுடைய நாவில் இருந்தது.

3 to say God Israel to/for me to speak: speak rock Israel to rule in/on/with man righteous to rule fear God

௩இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனும் இஸ்ரவேலின் கன்மலையுமானவர் எனக்குச் சொல்லி உரைத்ததாவது: நீதிபதியாக மனிதர்களை ஆட்சி செய்து, தெய்வபயத்தோடு ஆளுகிறவர் இருப்பார்.

4 and like/as light morning to rise sun morning not cloud from brightness from rain grass from land: soil

௪அவர் காலையில் மேகம் இல்லாமல் உதித்து, மழைக்குப்பின்பு தன்னுடைய வெளிச்சத்தினால் புல்லை பூமியிலிருந்து முளைக்கச்செய்கிற சூரியனுடைய விடியற்கால வெளிச்சத்தைப்போல இருப்பார் என்றார்.

௫என்னுடைய வீடு தேவனிடம் இப்படி இருக்காதோ? அனைத்தும் தீர்மானித்திருக்கிற நிச்சயமான நித்திய உடன்படிக்கையை என்னுடன் அவர் செய்திருக்கிறார்; ஆதலால் என்னுடைய எல்லா இரட்சிப்பும் எல்லா வாஞ்சையும் பெருகச்செய்யாமல் இருப்பாரோ?

௧௨இவன் அந்த நிலத்தின் நடுவிலே நின்று அதைக் காப்பாற்றி, பெலிஸ்தர்களைக் கொன்றுபோட்டான்; அதனால் யெகோவா பெரிய இரட்சிப்பை நடத்தினார்.

௧௬அப்பொழுது இந்த மூன்று பெலசாலிகளும் பெலிஸ்தர்களின் முகாமில் துணிந்து புகுந்துபோய், பெத்லெகேமின் நுழைவுவாசலில் இருக்கிற கிணற்றிலே தண்ணீர் மொண்டு, தாவீதிடம் கொண்டு வந்தார்கள்; ஆனாலும் அவன் அதைக் குடிக்க மனம் இல்லாமல் அதைக் யெகோவாவெக்கென்று ஊற்றிப்போட்டு:

௧௭யெகோவாவே, தங்கள் உயிரை பொருட்டாக எண்ணாமல் போய்வந்த அந்த மனிதர்களின் இரத்தத்தைக் குடிக்கும் இந்தச்செயல் எனக்குத் தூரமாக இருப்பதாக என்று சொல்லி, அதைக் குடிக்க மனம் இல்லாமலிருந்தான்; இப்படி இந்த மூன்று பெலசாலிகளும் செய்தார்கள்.
