1 and to reckon: list David [obj] [the] people: soldiers which with him and to set: appoint upon them ruler thousand and ruler hundred

Davidi apesaki mitindo na mampinga ete bakende. Akabolaki bango na masanga misato: lisanga ya liboso ekambamaki na Joabi; ya mibale, na Abishayi, ndeko mobali ya Joabi, mwana mobali ya Tseruya; mpe ya misato, na Itayi, moto ya Gati. 3 and to say [the] people: soldiers not to come out: come for if to flee to flee not to set: consider to(wards) us heart and if to die half our not to set: consider to(wards) us heart for now like us ten thousand and now pleasant for to be to/for us from city (to/for to help *Q(K)*)

5 and to command [the] king [obj] Joab and [obj] Abishai and [obj] Ittai to/for to say to/for softly to/for me to/for youth to/for Absalom and all [the] people to hear: hear in/on/with to command [the] king [obj] all [the] ruler upon word: thing Absalom
Apesaki mitindo oyo epai ya Joabi, Abishayi mpe Itayi: « Na kombo na ngai, bosala malembe na elenge mobali Abisalomi. » Basoda nyonso bayokaki mokonzi kopesa mitindo na mokambi moko na moko, na tina na Abisalomi.
6 and to come out: come [the] people: soldiers [the] land: country to/for to encounter: toward Israel and to be [the] battle in/on/with (Ephraim) Forest (Forest of) Ephraim

14 and to say Joab not so to wait: wait to/for face of your and to take: take three tribe: javelin in/on/with palm his and to blow them in/on/with heart Absalom still he alive in/on/with heart [the] oak

15 and to turn: surround ten youth to lift: bearing(armour) article/utensil Joab and to smite [obj] Absalom and to die him

16 and to blow Joab in/on/with trumpet and to return: return [the] people: soldiers from to pursue after Israel for to withhold Joab [obj] [the] people: soldiers

17 and to take: take [obj] Absalom and to throw [obj] him in/on/with wood to(wards) [the] pit [the] great: large and to stand upon him heap stone great: large much and all Israel to flee man: anyone (to/for tent: home his *Q(K)*)

19 and Ahimaaz son: child Zadok to say to run: run please and to bear tidings [obj] [the] king for to judge him LORD from hand: power enemy his
Ayimaatsi, mwana mobali ya Tsadoki, alobaki na Joabi: — Pesa ngai nzela ya kokima mbangu mpo na kokende koyebisa mokonzi ete Yawe akangoli ye na maboko ya banguna na ye.
20 and to say to/for him Joab not man good news you(m. s.) [the] day [the] this and to bear tidings in/on/with day another and [the] day [the] this not to bear tidings for as that: since (as as *Q(K)*) son: child [the] king to die
Joabi alobaki na ye: — Ezali yo te moto osengeli komema sango na mokolo ya lelo; okoki na yo komema sango mokolo mosusu, kasi mpo na lelo, osengeli te kosala yango, pamba te moto oyo akufi azali mwana ya mokonzi.
21 and to say Joab to/for Ethiopian to go: went to tell to/for king which to see: see and to bow Ethiopian to/for Joab and to run: run
Bongo Joabi alobaki na moto moko ya Kushi: — Kende koloba na mokonzi makambo oyo omoni. Moto ya Kushi agumbamaki liboso ya Joabi mpe akendeki mbangu.
22 and to add: again still Ahimaaz son: child Zadok and to say to(wards) Joab and to be what? to run: run please also I after [the] Ethiopian and to say Joab to/for what? this you(m. s.) to run: run son: child my and to/for you nothing good news to find
Ayimaatsi, mwana mobali ya Tsadoki, alobaki lisusu na Joabi: — Oyo ekoya eya! Pesa ngai nzela mpo ete nakende mbangu liboso ya moto ya Kushi. Kasi Joabi azongisaki: — Mwana na ngai ya mobali, mpo na nini olingi kaka kokende? Ezali na yango te sango oyo ekopesa yo lifuti.
23 and to be what? to run: run and to say to/for him to run: run and to run: run Ahimaaz way: road [the] talent and to pass [obj] [the] Ethiopian

Na tango yango, Davidi avandaki kati ya ekuke ya kati mpe ekuke ya libanda, mpe mokengeli amataki na likolo ya ndako ya ekuke, pembeni ya mir. Tango atombolaki miso, amonaki mwana mobali moko kokima mbangu ye moko.
25 and to call: call out [the] to watch and to tell to/for king and to say [the] king if to/for alone him good news in/on/with lip his and to go: come to go: come and approaching
Mokengeli agangaki epai ya mokonzi mpe ayebisaki ye. Mokonzi alobaki: « Soki azali ye moko, wana azali na basango malamu. » Moto azalaki kaka kopusana.
26 and to see: see [the] to watch man another to run: run and to call: call to [the] to watch to(wards) [the] gatekeeper and to say behold man to run: run to/for alone him and to say [the] king also this to bear tidings
Bongo mokengeli amonaki moto mosusu kokima mbangu, mpe abelelaki mokengeli ekuke: — Tala, moto mosusu azali kokima mbangu ye moko. Mokonzi alobaki: — Ye mpe amemi basango malamu.
27 and to say [the] to watch I to see: examine [obj] running [the] first like/as running Ahimaaz son: child Zadok and to say [the] king man pleasant this and to(wards) good news pleasant to come (in): come
Mokengeli alobaki: — Namoni moto ya liboso kokima mbangu lokola Ayimaatsi, mwana mobali ya Tsadoki. Mokonzi alobaki: — Azali moto malamu, azali koya na basango malamu.
28 and to call: call out Ahimaaz and to say to(wards) [the] king peace: well-being and to bow to/for king to/for face his land: soil [to] and to say to bless LORD God your which to shut [obj] [the] human which to lift: kindness [obj] hand their in/on/with lord my [the] king
Bongo Ayimaatsi abelelaki mokonzi: — Makambo nyonso ezali malamu! Agumbamaki liboso ya mokonzi elongi kino na mabele mpe alobaki: — Tika ete Yawe, Nzambe na yo, apambolama! Akabi bato oyo batombolaki maboko na bango mpo na kobundisa mokonzi, nkolo na ngai.
29 and to say [the] king peace: well-being to/for youth to/for Absalom and to say Ahimaaz to see: see [the] crowd [the] great: large to/for to send: depart [obj] servant/slave [the] king Joab and [obj] servant/slave your and not to know what?
Mokonzi atunaki: — Boni elenge mobali Abisalomi, azali malamu? Ayimaatsi azongisaki: — Namonaki mobulu makasi kaka tango Joabi alingaki kotinda mosali ya mokonzi mpe ngai, mosali na yo, kasi nayebaki te soki ezalaki likambo nini.
30 and to say [the] king to turn: turn to stand thus and to turn: turn and to stand: stand
Mokonzi alobaki: — Telema pembeni mpe zela ngai wana. Boye akendeki mpe atelemaki wana.
31 and behold [the] Ethiopian to come (in): come and to say [the] Ethiopian to bear tidings lord my [the] king for to judge you LORD [the] day from hand: power all [the] to arise: attack upon you
Bongo moto ya Kushi akomaki mpe alobaki: — Mokonzi, nkolo na ngai, yoka basango malamu! Yawe akangoli yo lelo na maboko ya bato oyo babundisaki yo.
32 and to say [the] king to(wards) [the] Ethiopian peace: well-being to/for youth to/for Absalom and to say [the] Ethiopian to be like/as youth enemy lord my [the] king and all which to arise: attack upon you to/for distress: evil
Mokonzi atunaki na moto ya Kushi: — Boni elenge mobali Abisalomi, azali malamu? Moto ya Kushi azongisaki: — Tika ete banguna ya mokonzi, nkolo na ngai, mpe bato nyonso oyo bazali kotelema mpo na kosala yo mabe bazala lokola elenge mobali wana.
33 and to tremble [the] king and to ascend: rise upon upper room [the] gate and to weep and thus to say in/on/with to go: went he son: child my Absalom son: child my son: child my Absalom who? to give: if only! to die I I underneath: instead you Absalom son: child my son: child my
Mokonzi ayokaki pasi na motema, amataki na shambre oyo ezalaki na likolo ya ekuke mpe alelaki. Tango azalaki kokende, alobaki: « Ah Abisalomi, mwana na ngai ya mobali! Mwana na ngai ya mobali, mwana na ngai ya mobali Abisalomi! Ebongaki ete nakufa na esika na yo! Oh Abisalomi, mwana na ngai ya mobali, mwana na ngai ya mobali! »
