2 Chronicles 32
1 after [the] word: thing and [the] truth: faithful [the] these to come (in): besiege Sennacherib king Assyria and to come (in): besiege in/on/with Judah and to camp upon [the] city [the] to gather/restrain/fortify and to say to/for to break up/open them to(wards) him
Après ces choses et ces actes de fidélité, Sennachérib, roi d’Asssyrie, se mit en marche et, étant entré en Juda, il campa contre les villes fortes, dans le dessein de s’en emparer.
2 and to see: see Hezekiah for to come (in): come Sennacherib and face his to/for battle upon Jerusalem
Quand Ezéchias vit que Sennachérib était venu et qu’il se tournait contre Jérusalem pour l’attaquer,
3 and to advise with ruler his and mighty man his to/for to close [obj] water [the] spring which from outside to/for city and to help him
il tint conseil avec ses chefs et ses hommes vaillants, afin de couvrir les eaux des sources qui étaient hors de la ville, et ils lui prêtèrent secours.
4 and to gather people many and to close [obj] all [the] spring and [obj] [the] torrent: river [the] to overflow in/on/with midst [the] land: country/planet to/for to say to/for what? to come (in): come king Assyria and to find water many
Un peuple nombreux se rassembla, et ils couvrirent tontes les sources et le ruisseau qui coulait au milieu du pays, en disant: « Pourquoi les rois d’Assyrie, en venant ici, trouveraient-ils des eaux abondantes? »
5 and to strengthen: persevere and to build [obj] all [the] wall [the] to break through and to ascend: establish upon [the] tower and to/for outside [to] [the] wall another and to strengthen: persevere [obj] [the] Millo city David and to make missile to/for abundance and shield
Ezéchias prit courage; il rebâtit toute la muraille qui était en ruine et restaura les tours; il bâtit l’autre mur en dehors, fortifia Mello dans la cité de David; il fit fabriquer une quantité d’armes et de boucliers.
6 and to give: put ruler battle upon [the] people and to gather them to(wards) him to(wards) street/plaza gate [the] city and to speak: speak upon heart their to/for to say
Il donna des chefs militaires au peuple et, les ayant réunis prés de lui sur la place de la porte de la ville, il leur parla au cœur, en disant:
7 to strengthen: strengthen and to strengthen not to fear and not to to be dismayed from face: before king Assyria and from to/for face: before all [the] crowd which with him for with us many from from with him
« Soyez forts et courageux; ne craignez pas et ne vous effrayez pas devant le roi d’Assyrie et devant toute la multitude qui est avec lui; car il y a plus avec nous qu’avec lui.
8 with him arm flesh and with us LORD God our to/for to help us and to/for to fight battle our and to support [the] people upon word Hezekiah king Judah
Avec lui est un bras de chair, et avec nous est Yahweh, notre Dieu, pour nous aider et mener nos combats. » Le peuple eut confiance dans les paroles d’Ezéchias, roi de Juda.
9 after this to send: depart Sennacherib king Assyria servant/slave his Jerusalem [to] and he/she/it upon Lachish and all dominion his with him upon Hezekiah king Judah and upon all Judah which in/on/with Jerusalem to/for to say
Après cela, Sennachérib, roi d’Assyrie, envoya ses serviteurs a Jérusalem, — il était devant Lachis avec toutes ses forces royales, — vers Ezéchias, roi de Juda, et vers tous ceux de Juda qui étaient à Jérusalem, pour leur dire:
10 thus to say Sennacherib king Assyria upon what? you(m. p.) to trust and to dwell in/on/with siege in/on/with Jerusalem
« Ainsi dit Sennachérib, roi d’Assyrie: En quoi vous confiez-vous, pour que vous restiez assiégés à Jérusalem dans la détresse?
11 not Hezekiah to incite [obj] you to/for to give: give [obj] you to/for to die in/on/with famine and in/on/with thirst to/for to say LORD God our to rescue us from palm king Assyria
Ezéchias ne vous trompe-t-il pas pour vous livrer à la mort par la famine et par la soif, quand il dit: Yahweh notre Dieu nous sauvera de la main du roi d’Assyrie?
12 not he/she/it Hezekiah to turn aside: remove [obj] high place his and [obj] altar his and to say to/for Judah and to/for Jerusalem to/for to say to/for face: before altar one to bow and upon him to offer: offer
N’est-ce pas lui, Ezéchias, qui a fait disparaître les hauts lieux et les autels de Yahweh, en disant à Juda et à Jérusalem: Vous vous prosternerez devant un seul autel, et vous y offrirez des parfums?
13 not to know what? to make: do I and father my to/for all people [the] land: country/planet be able be able God nation [the] land: country/planet to/for to rescue [obj] land: country/planet their from hand: power my
Ne savez-vous pas ce que nous avons fait, mes pères et moi, à tous les peuples des pays? Les dieux des peuples des pays ont-ils pu vraiment sauver leur pays de ma main?
14 who? in/on/with all God [the] nation [the] these which to devote/destroy father my which be able to/for to rescue [obj] people his from hand: power my for be able God your to/for to rescue [obj] you from hand: power my
Quel est, parmi tous les dieux de ces nations que mes pères ont exterminées, celui qui a pu délivrer son peuple de ma main, pour que votre dieu puisse vous délivrer de ma main?
15 and now not to deceive [obj] you Hezekiah and not to incite [obj] you like/as this and not be faithful to/for him for not be able all god all nation and kingdom to/for to rescue people his from hand: power my and from hand: power father my also for God your not to rescue [obj] you from hand: power my
Et maintenant, qu’Ezéchias ne vous séduise pas et ne vous trompe pas ainsi! Ne vous fiez pas à lui. Car aucun dieu d’aucune nation ni d’aucun royaume n’a pu délivrer son peuple de ma main et de la main de mes pères: combien moins votre dieu vous délivrera-t-il de ma main! »
16 and still to speak: speak servant/slave his upon LORD [the] God and upon Hezekiah servant/slave his
Les serviteurs de Sennachérib parlèrent encore contre Yahweh Dieu et contre Ezéchias, son serviteur.
17 and scroll: document to write to/for to taunt to/for LORD God Israel and to/for to say upon him to/for to say like/as God nation [the] land: country/planet which not to rescue people their from hand: power my so not to rescue God Hezekiah people his from hand: power my
Il écrivit aussi une lettre pour insulter Yahweh, le Dieu d’Israël, et pour parler contre lui; il s’exprimait en ces termes: « De même que les dieux des nations des pays n’ont pu délivrer leur peuple de ma main, de même le dieu d’Ezéchias ne délivrera pas son peuple de ma main. »
18 and to call: call out in/on/with voice great: large Judahite upon people Jerusalem which upon [the] wall to/for to fear them and to/for to dismay them because to capture [obj] [the] city
Et ses serviteurs crièrent à haute voix, en langue judaïque, au peuple de Jérusalem qui était sur la muraille, pour l’effrayer et l’épouvanter, afin de pouvoir ainsi s’emparer de la ville.
19 and to speak: speak to(wards) God Jerusalem like/as upon God people [the] land: country/planet deed: work hand [the] man
Ils parlaient du Dieu de Jérusalem comme des dieux des peuples de la terre, ouvrages de mains d’homme.
20 and to pray Hezekiah [the] king and Isaiah son: child Amoz [the] prophet upon this and to cry out [the] heaven
A cause de cela, le roi Ezéchias et le prophète Isaïe, fils d’Amos, se mirent à prier, et ils crièrent vers le ciel.
21 and to send: depart LORD messenger: angel and to hide all mighty man strength and leader and ruler in/on/with camp king Assyria and to return: return in/on/with shame face to/for land: country/planet his and to come (in): come house: temple God his (and from offspring *Q(K)*) belly his there to fall: kill him in/on/with sword
Et Yahweh envoya un ange qui extermina tous les vaillants hommes, les princes et les chefs dans le camp du roi d’Assyrie. Le roi s’en retourna couvert de honte dans son pays. Lorsqu’il fut entré dans la maison de son dieu, quelques-uns de ceux qui étaient sortis de ses entrailles le firent tomber par l’épée.
22 and to save LORD [obj] Hezekiah and [obj] to dwell Jerusalem from hand: power Sennacherib king Assyria and from hand: power all and to guide them from around: side
Et Yahweh sauva Ezéchias et les habitants de Jérusalem de la main de Sennachérib, roi d’Assyrie, et de la main de tous ses ennemis, et il les guida de tous côtés.
23 and many to come (in): bring offering: gift to/for LORD to/for Jerusalem and precious thing to/for Hezekiah king Judah and to lift: exalt to/for eye: seeing all [the] nation from after so
Beaucoup de gens apportèrent à Jérusalem des offrandes à Yahweh, et de riches présents à Ezéchias, roi de Juda, qui fut élevé depuis lors aux yeux de toutes les nations.
24 in/on/with day [the] they(masc.) be weak: ill Hezekiah till to/for to die and to pray to(wards) LORD and to say to/for him and wonder to give: give to/for him
En ce temps-là, Ezéchias fut malade à la mort. Il pria Yahweh, et Yahweh lui parla et lui accorda un prodige.
25 and not like/as recompense upon him to return: return Hezekiah for to exult heart his and to be upon him wrath and upon Judah and Jerusalem
Mais Ezéchias ne répondît pas au bienfait qu’il avait reçu, car son cœur s’éleva, et la colère de Yahweh fut sur lui, ainsi que sur Juda et Jérusalem.
26 and be humble Hezekiah in/on/with height heart his he/she/it and to dwell Jerusalem and not to come (in): come upon them wrath LORD in/on/with day Hezekiah
Et Ezéchias s’humilia à cause de l’orgueil de son cœur, lui et les habitants de Jérusalem, et la colère de Yahweh ne vint pas sur eux pendant la vie d’Ezéchias.
27 and to be to/for Hezekiah riches and glory to multiply much and treasure to make to/for him to/for silver: money and to/for gold and to/for stone precious and to/for spice and to/for shield and to/for all article/utensil desire
Ezéchias eut beaucoup de richesses et de gloire. Il amassa des trésors d’argent, d’or, de pierres précieuses, d’aromates, de boucliers et de toutes sortes d’objets désirables.
28 and storage to/for produce grain and new wine and oil and stall to/for all animal and animal and flock to/for stall
Il se fit des magasins pour les produits en blé, en vin et en huile, des crèches pour toute espèce de bétail, et il eut des troupeaux pour les étables.
29 and city to make to/for him and livestock flock and cattle to/for abundance for to give: give to/for him God property many much
Il se bâtit des villes, et il eut de nombreux troupeaux de bœufs et de brebis, car Dieu lui donna des biens considérables.
30 and he/she/it Hezekiah to close [obj] exit water Gihon [the] high and to smooth them to/for beneath west [to] to/for city David and to prosper Hezekiah in/on/with all deed his
Ce fut lui aussi, Ezéchias, qui couvrit l’issue supérieure des eaux du Gihon, et les dirigea en bas vers l’occident de la cité de David. Ezéchias réussit dans toutes ses entreprises.
31 and so in/on/with to mock ruler Babylon [the] to send: depart upon him to/for to seek [the] wonder which to be in/on/with land: country/planet to leave: forsake him [the] God to/for to test him to/for to know all in/on/with heart his
Et Dieu ne l’abandonna aux messagers que les chefs de Babylone envoyèrent auprès de lui pour s’informer du prodige qui avait eu lieu dans le pays, que pour l’éprouver, afin de connaître tout ce qu’il y avait dans son cœur.
32 and remainder word: deed Hezekiah and kindness his look! they to write in/on/with vision Isaiah son: child Amoz [the] prophet upon scroll: book king Judah and Israel
Le reste des actes d’Ezéchias, et ses œuvres pieuses, voici que cela est écrit dans la Vision du prophète Isaïe, fils d’Amos, et dans le livre des rois de Juda et d’Israël.
33 and to lie down: be dead Hezekiah with father his and to bury him in/on/with ascent grave son: descendant/people David and glory to make: do to/for him in/on/with death his all Judah and to dwell Jerusalem and to reign Manasseh son: descendant/people his underneath: instead him
Ezéchias se coucha avec ses pères, et on l’enterra dans le lieu le plus élevé des sépulcres des fils de David; et tout Juda et les habitants de Jérusalem lui rendirent des honneurs à sa mort. Et Manassé, son fils, régna à sa place.
