2 Chronicles 3
1 and to profane/begin: begin Solomon to/for to build [obj] house: temple LORD in/on/with Jerusalem in/on/with mountain: mount [the] (Mount) Moriah which to see: see to/for David father his which to establish: establish in/on/with place David in/on/with threshing floor Ornan [the] Jebusite
Toen begon Salomon met de bouw van de tempel van Jahweh in Jerusalem, op de berg Moria, waar Jahweh aan zijn vader David verschenen was, en waar David de dorsvloer van Ornan, den Jeboesiet, daartoe in orde had gemaakt.
2 and to profane/begin: begin to/for to build in/on/with month [the] second in/on/with second in/on/with year four to/for royalty his
Hij begon met de bouw op de tweede dag van de tweede maand, in het vierde jaar van zijn regering.
3 and these to found Solomon to/for to build [obj] house: temple [the] God [the] length cubit in/on/with measure [the] first: previous cubit sixty and width cubit twenty
De volgende afmetingen legde Salomon aan de bouw van het Godshuis ten grondslag: de lengte, berekend naar ellen van de oude afmeting, bedroeg zestig el, de breedte twintig, en de hoogte honderd twintig el.
4 and [the] Portico which upon face: before [the] length upon face: before width [the] house: home cubit twenty and [the] height hundred and twenty and to overlay him from within gold pure
De voorhal, voor het Heilige, was twintig el lang, dus even lang als de tempel breed was; hij bekleedde hem van binnen met zuiver goud.
5 and [obj] [the] house: home [the] great: large to cover tree: wood cypress and to cover him gold pleasant and to ascend: establish upon him palm and chain
De grote ruimte liet hij met cypressenhout beschieten, dat met zuiver goud was bekleed, waarop slingers waren aangebracht.
6 and to overlay [obj] [the] house: home stone precious to/for beauty and [the] gold gold Parvaim
Ook werd de grote ruimte met kostbare stenen versierd. Het goud was afkomstig van Párwaim.
7 and to cover [obj] [the] house: home [the] beam [the] threshold and wall his and door his gold and to engrave cherub upon [the] wall
Ook de balken, drempels, muren en deuren van dit gebouw liet hij met goud beleggen en op zijn wanden cherubs snijden.
8 and to make [obj] house: home Most Holy Place [the] Most Holy Place length his upon face of width [the] house: home cubit twenty and width his cubit twenty and to cover him gold pleasant to/for talent six hundred
Vervolgens liet hij de ruimte van het Allerheiligste inrichten. De lengte, langs de korte zijde van het gebouw, bedroeg twintig el, en de diepte eveneens twintig el. Het werd met zuiver goud overtrokken tot een gewicht van zeshonderd talenten.
9 and weight to/for nail to/for shekel fifty gold and [the] upper room to cover gold
Alleen al voor de nagels gebruikte hij vijftig sikkels goud; want de koppen werden met goud overtrokken.
10 and to make in/on/with house: home Most Holy Place [the] Most Holy Place cherub two deed: work image and to overlay [obj] them gold
In de ruimte van het Allerheiligste werden twee cherubs geplaatst van olijfhout, dat met goud overtrokken was.
11 and wing [the] cherub length their cubit twenty wing [the] one to/for cubit five to touch to/for wall [the] house: home and [the] wing [the] another cubit five to touch to/for wing [the] cherub [the] another
De vleugels der cherubs hadden een gezamenlijke lengte van twintig el. De ene, vijf el lange vleugel van den enen cherub raakte de wand van het gebouw; de andere, vijf el lange vleugel raakte de vleugel van den anderen cherub.
12 and wing [the] cherub [the] one cubit five to touch to/for wall [the] house: home and [the] wing [the] another cubit five cleaving to/for wing [the] cherub [the] another
De ene, vijf el lange vleugel van den anderen cherub raakte eveneens de wand van het gebouw; de andere, vijf el lange vleugel raakte de vleugel van den eersten cherub.
13 wing [the] cherub [the] these to spread cubit twenty and they(masc.) to stand: stand upon foot their and face their to/for house: inside
De vleugels van die cherubs hadden dus een vlucht van twintig el. De cherubs stonden recht overeind, met hun gelaat naar het Heilige gekeerd.
14 and to make [obj] [the] curtain blue and purple and crimson and fine linen and to ascend: establish upon him cherub
Ook liet hij een voorhangsel vervaardigen van purper en violet, karmozijn en byssus, waarin cherubs waren geweven.
15 and to make to/for face: before [the] house: home pillar two cubit thirty and five length and [the] capital which upon head: top his cubit five
Vóór het gebouw liet hij twee zuilen plaatsen van vijf en dertig el hoogte, met een kapiteel van vijf el op de top.
16 and to make chain in/on/with sanctuary and to give: put upon head: top [the] pillar and to make pomegranate hundred and to give: put in/on/with chain
Hij liet er slingers als kransen voor maken, die op de top der zuilen werden aangebracht, en honderd granaatappels, die aan de slingers werden opgehangen.
17 and to arise: establish [obj] [the] pillar upon face: before [the] temple one from right: south and one from [the] left: north and to call: call by name ([the] right: south *Q(K)*) Jachin and name [the] left: north Boaz
De zuilen liet hij aan de voorkant van het Heilige opstellen: een aan de rechter- en een aan de linkerkant. De ene noemde hij Jakin, de andere Bóaz.
