1 son: aged twenty year Ahaz in/on/with to reign he and six ten year to reign in/on/with Jerusalem and not to make: do [the] upright in/on/with eye: appearance LORD like/as David father his
രാജാവാകുമ്പോൾ ആഹാസിന് ഇരുപതു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു. അദ്ദേഹം ജെറുശലേമിൽ പതിനാറുവർഷം വാണു. അദ്ദേഹം തന്റെ പൂർവപിതാവായ ദാവീദിനെപ്പോലെ ആയിരുന്നില്ല; യഹോവയുടെ ദൃഷ്ടിയിൽ നീതിയായുള്ളത് പ്രവർത്തിച്ചില്ല.

ആഹാസ് ഇസ്രായേൽരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വഴികളിൽ ജീവിക്കുകയും ബാലിനെ ആരാധിക്കാനായി വാർപ്പുപ്രതിമകൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.

അതിനാൽ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ അരാംരാജാവിന്റെ കൈയിൽ ഏൽപ്പിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു. അരാമ്യർ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ തോൽപ്പിക്കുകയും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അനവധി ആളുകളെ തടവുകാരായി പിടിച്ച് ദമസ്കോസിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോകുകയും ചെയ്തു. യഹോവ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ഇസ്രായേൽരാജാവിന്റെ കൈയിലും ഏൽപ്പിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു. ഇസ്രായേൽരാജാവ് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ അതികഠിനമായി തോൽപ്പിച്ചു.

എഫ്രയീമ്യവീരനായ സിക്രി രാജകുമാരനായ മയസേയാവെയും കൊട്ടാരം ചുമതലക്കാരനായ സൈന്യാധിപൻ അസ്രീക്കാമിനെയും രാജാവിനു രണ്ടാമനായിരുന്ന എൽക്കാനായെയും വധിച്ചു.

ഇസ്രായേല്യർ തങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരജനമായ യെഹൂദ്യരിൽനിന്നും സ്ത്രീകളും പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരുമായി രണ്ടുലക്ഷം ആളുകളെ അടിമകളായി പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോയി. ധാരാളം മുതൽ കൊള്ളയടിച്ച് ശമര്യയിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോകുകയും ചെയ്തു.

എന്നാൽ ഓദേദ് എന്നു പേരുള്ള യഹോവയുടെ ഒരു പ്രവാചകൻ അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. സൈന്യം ശമര്യയിൽ തിരിച്ചെത്തിയപ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹം അവരുടെമുമ്പാകെ ചെന്ന് ഈ വിധം പറഞ്ഞു: “നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ യെഹൂദയോടു കോപിച്ചിരുന്നതിനാൽ, അവൻ അവരെ നിങ്ങളുടെ കൈയിൽ ഏൽപ്പിച്ചുതന്നു. എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങളോ, ആകാശംവരെ എത്തുന്ന കോപത്തോടെ അവരെ കൂട്ടക്കൊല നടത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

ഇപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ യെഹൂദ്യയിലെയും ജെറുശലേമിലെയും സ്ത്രീപുരുഷന്മാരെ അടിമകളാക്കാൻ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നു. നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയ്ക്കെതിരേ പാപം ചെയ്യുകയാൽ നിങ്ങളും കുറ്റക്കാരല്ലേ?
11 and now to hear: hear me and to return: return [the] captive which to take captive from brother: male-relative your for burning anger face: anger LORD upon you
ഇപ്പോൾ, ഞാൻ പറയുന്നതു ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക! നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരവർഗത്തിൽനിന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പിടിച്ച തടവുകാരെ തിരിച്ചയയ്ക്കുക! അല്ലെങ്കിൽ യഹോവയുടെ ഉഗ്രകോപം നിങ്ങളുടെമേൽ ഇരിക്കും.”
12 and to arise: attack human from head: leader son: descendant/people Ephraim Azariah son: child Johanan Berechiah son: child Meshillemoth and Jehizkiah son: child Shallum and Amasa son: child Hadlai upon [the] to come (in): come from [the] army: war
അപ്പോൾ യെഹോഹാനാന്റെ മകൻ അസര്യാവ്, മെശില്ലേമോത്തിന്റെ മകൻ ബേരെഖ്യാവ്, ശല്ലൂമിന്റെ മകൻ ഹിസ്കിയാവ്, ഹദ്ളായിയുടെ മകൻ അമാസ എന്നീ എഫ്രയീമ്യനേതാക്കന്മാരിൽ ചിലർ യുദ്ധം കഴിഞ്ഞു മടങ്ങിവന്നവരെ എതിർത്തുകൊണ്ടു പറഞ്ഞു:

“നിങ്ങൾ ആ തടവുകാരെ ഇവിടെ കൊണ്ടുവരരുത്. അങ്ങനെചെയ്താൽ നാം യഹോവയുടെമുമ്പാകെ കുറ്റക്കാരായിത്തീരും. നമ്മുടെ കുറ്റം ഇപ്പോൾത്തന്നെ വലുതാണ്. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഉഗ്രകോപവും നമ്മുടെമേലുണ്ട്. അതിനാൽ നമ്മുടെ പാപങ്ങളെയും അപരാധത്തെയും ഇനിയും പെരുക്കാൻ നിങ്ങൾ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നോ?”
14 and to leave: forsake [the] to arm [obj] [the] captive and [obj] [the] plunder to/for face: before [the] ruler and all [the] assembly
അപ്പോൾ പടയാളികൾ ഇസ്രായേൽ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെയും സർവസഭയുടെയും മുമ്പിൽവെച്ചുതന്നെ ബന്ധിതരെ കൊള്ളമുതൽസഹിതം വിട്ടയച്ചു.
15 and to arise: rise [the] human which to pierce in/on/with name and to strengthen: hold in/on/with captive and all naked their to clothe from [the] spoil and to clothe them and to shoe them and to eat them and to water: drink them and to anoint them and to guide them in/on/with donkey to/for all to stumble and to come (in): bring them Jericho Ir-hatmarim [the] Ir-hatmarim beside brother: male-relative their and to return: return Samaria

ഇതേസമയം ഫെലിസ്ത്യർ കുന്നിൻപ്രദേശങ്ങളിലും യെഹൂദ്യയുടെ തെക്കുഭാഗത്തുള്ള പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും കടന്നാക്രമിച്ചു; അവർ ബേത്-ശേമെശും അയ്യാലോനും ഗെദേരോത്തും അതുപോലെ സോഖോവും തിമ്നയും ഗിംസോവും അതിനോടുചേർന്ന ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും പിടിച്ചടക്കി അവിടെ വാസമുറപ്പിച്ചു.
19 for be humble LORD [obj] Judah in/on/with for the sake of Ahaz king Israel for to neglect in/on/with Judah and be unfaithful be unfaithful in/on/with LORD
ഇസ്രായേൽരാജാവായ ആഹാസ് യെഹൂദ്യയിൽ ദുഷ്ടത വർധിപ്പിക്കുകയും യഹോവയോട് അത്യധികം അവിശ്വസ്തനായിത്തീരുകയും ചെയ്തു. അതിനാൽ അദ്ദേഹംനിമിത്തം യഹോവ യെഹൂദയ്ക്ക് അധഃപതനം വരുത്തി.
20 and to come (in): come upon him Tiglath-pileser Tiglath-pileser king Assyria and to constrain to/for him and not to strengthen: strengthen him
അശ്ശൂർരാജാവായ തിഗ്ലത്ത്-പിലേസർ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അടുത്തുവന്നു. എന്നാൽ അദ്ദേഹം ആഹാസിനെ സഹായിക്കുന്നതിനുപകരം ഉപദ്രവിക്കുകയാണു ചെയ്തത്.
21 for to divide Ahaz [obj] house: temple LORD and [obj] house: home [the] king and [the] ruler and to give: give to/for king Assyria and not to/for help to/for him
ആഹാസ് യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലും രാജകൊട്ടാരത്തിലും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെ പക്കലും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ധനത്തിൽ ഒരംശം എടുത്ത് അശ്ശൂർരാജാവിനു കാഴ്ചവെച്ചു. എന്നിട്ടും അദ്ദേഹം ആഹാസിനെ സഹായിച്ചില്ല.
22 and in/on/with time to constrain to/for him and to add to/for be unfaithful in/on/with LORD he/she/it [the] king Ahaz
ആഹാസിന്റെ ഈ ദുരിതകാലത്തും അദ്ദേഹം യഹോവയോട് വിശ്വസ്തത പുലർത്തുന്നതിൽ കൂടുതൽ അപരാധം പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു:
23 and to sacrifice to/for God Damascus [the] to smite in/on/with him and to say for God king Syria they(masc.) to help [obj] them to/for them to sacrifice and to help me and they(masc.) to be to/for him to/for to stumble him and to/for all Israel
“അരാംരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദേവന്മാർ, അവരെ സഹായിച്ചു; ആ ദേവന്മാർ എന്നെയും സഹായിക്കേണ്ടതിനു ഞാൻ അവർക്കു ബലികൾ അർപ്പിക്കും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ് ആഹാസ് തന്നെ തോൽപ്പിച്ച ദമസ്കോസിലെ ദേവന്മാർക്കു ബലികൾ അർപ്പിച്ചു. പക്ഷേ, ഇവയെല്ലാം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെയും ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെയും നാശത്തിനു ഹേതുവായിത്തീർന്നു.
24 and to gather Ahaz [obj] article/utensil house: temple [the] God and to cut [obj] article/utensil house: temple [the] God and to shut [obj] door house: temple LORD and to make to/for him altar in/on/with all corner in/on/with Jerusalem
ആഹാസ് ദൈവാലയത്തിലെ ഉപകരണങ്ങളെല്ലാം ഒരുമിച്ചുകൂട്ടി ഉടച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; അദ്ദേഹം യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ കവാടങ്ങൾ അടച്ചിട്ടു; ജെറുശലേമിന്റെ തെരുവുകോണുകളിലെല്ലാം തനിക്കായി ബലിപീഠങ്ങൾ നിർമിച്ചു.
25 and in/on/with all city and city to/for Judah to make high place to/for to offer: offer to/for God another and to provoke [obj] LORD God father his
യെഹൂദ്യയിലെ ഓരോ നഗരത്തിലും അന്യദേവന്മാർക്കു യാഗങ്ങൾ അർപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങൾ അദ്ദേഹം നിർമിച്ചു. അങ്ങനെ തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ അദ്ദേഹം കുപിതനാക്കി.
26 and remainder word: deed his and all way: conduct his [the] first and [the] last look! they to write upon scroll: book king Judah and Israel
ആഹാസിന്റെ ഭരണത്തിലെ മറ്റുസംഭവങ്ങളും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളും ആദ്യന്തം യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെയും ഇസ്രായേൽരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെയും പുസ്തകത്തിൽ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

ആഹാസ് നിദ്രപ്രാപിച്ച് തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോട് ചേർന്നു; അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ജെറുശലേം പട്ടണത്തിൽ സംസ്കരിച്ചു; എന്നാൽ ഇസ്രായേൽരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ കല്ലറകളിൽ അദ്ദേഹത്തിനു സ്ഥാനം ലഭിച്ചില്ല. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ മകനായ ഹിസ്കിയാവ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിനുശേഷം രാജാവായി.
