2 Chronicles 25
1 son: aged twenty and five year to reign Amaziah and twenty and nine year to reign in/on/with Jerusalem and name mother his Jehoaddan from Jerusalem
Amazia, vijf en twintig jaren oud zijnde, werd koning, en regeerde negen en twintig jaren te Jeruzalem; en de naam zijner moeder was Joaddan, van Jeruzalem.
2 and to make: do [the] upright in/on/with eye: appearance LORD except not in/on/with heart complete
En hij deed dat recht was in de ogen des HEEREN, doch niet met een volkomen hart.
3 and to be like/as as which to strengthen: hold [the] kingdom upon him and to kill [obj] servant/slave his [the] to smite [obj] [the] king father his
Het geschiedde nu, als het koninkrijk aan hem gesterkt was, dat hij zijn knechten, die den koning, zijn vader, geslagen hadden, doodde.
4 and [obj] son: child their not to die for like/as to write in/on/with instruction in/on/with scroll: book Moses which to command LORD to/for to say not to die father upon son: child and son: child not to die upon father for man: anyone in/on/with sin his to die
Doch hun kinderen doodde hij niet, maar hij deed, gelijk in de wet, in het boek van Mozes, geschreven is, waar de HEERE geboden heeft, zeggende: De vaders zullen niet sterven om de kinderen, en de kinderen zullen niet sterven om de vaders; maar een ieder zal om zijn zonde sterven.
5 and to gather Amaziah [obj] Judah and to stand: stand them to/for house: household father to/for ruler [the] thousand and to/for ruler [the] hundred to/for all Judah and Benjamin and to reckon: list them to/for from son: aged twenty year and above [to] and to find them three hundred thousand to choose to come out: regular army: war to grasp spear and shield
En Amazia vergaderde Juda, en stelde hen, naar de huizen der vaderen, tot oversten van duizenden en tot oversten van honderden, door gans Juda en Benjamin; en hij monsterde hen, van twintig jaren oud en daarboven, en vond hen driehonderd duizend uitgelezenen, uittrekkende ten heire, handelende spies en rondas.
6 and to hire from Israel hundred thousand mighty man strength in/on/with hundred talent silver: money
Daartoe huurde hij uit Israel honderd duizend kloeke helden, voor honderd talenten zilvers.
7 and man [the] God to come (in): come to(wards) him to/for to say [the] king not to come (in): come with you army Israel for nothing LORD with Israel all son: descendant/people Ephraim
Maar er kwam een man Gods tot hem, zeggende: O, koning! laat het heir van Israel met u niet gaan; want de HEERE is niet met Israel, met alle kinderen van Efraim.
8 that if: except if: except to come (in): come you(m. s.) to make: do to strengthen: strengthen to/for battle to stumble you [the] God to/for face: before enemy for there strength in/on/with God to/for to help and to/for to stumble
Maar zo gij gaat, doe het, wees sterk ten strijde; God zal u doen vallen voor den vijand; want in God is kracht, om te helpen en om te doen vallen.
9 and to say Amaziah to/for man [the] God and what? to/for to make: do to/for hundred [the] talent which to give: give to/for band Israel and to say man [the] God there to/for LORD to/for to give: give to/for you to multiply from this
En Amazia zeide tot den man Gods: Maar wat zal men doen met de honderd talenten, die ik aan de benden van Israel gegeven heb? En de man Gods zeide: De HEERE heeft meer dan dit, om u te geven.
10 and to separate them Amaziah to/for [the] band which to come (in): come to(wards) him from Ephraim to/for to go: went to/for place their and to be incensed face: anger their much in/on/with Judah and to return: return to/for place their in/on/with burning face: anger
Toen scheidde Amazia die af, te weten de benden, die uit Efraim tot hem gekomen waren, dat zij naar hun plaats gingen; daarom ontstak hun toorn zeer tegen Juda, en zij keerden weder tot hun plaats in hittigheid des toorns.
11 and Amaziah to strengthen: strengthen and to lead [obj] people his and to go: went (Salt) Valley [the] (Valley of) Salt and to smite [obj] son: descendant/people Seir ten thousand
Amazia nu sterkte zich, en leidde zijn volk uit, en toog in het Zoutdal, en sloeg van de kinderen van Seir tien duizend.
12 and ten thousand alive to take captive son: descendant/people Judah and to come (in): bring them to/for head: top [the] rock and to throw them from head: top [the] rock and all their to break up/open
Daartoe vingen de kinderen van Juda tien duizend levend, en brachten ze op de hoogte der steenrots, en stieten hen van de spits der steenrots af, dat zij allen barstten.
13 and son: descendant/people [the] band which to return: return Amaziah from to go: went with him to/for battle and to strip in/on/with city Judah from Samaria and till Beth-horon Beth-horon and to smite from them three thousand and to plunder plunder many
Maar de mannen der benden, die Amazia had doen wederkeren, dat zij met hem in den strijd niet zouden trekken, die deden een inval in de steden van Juda, van Samaria af tot Beth-horon toe, en sloegen van hen drie duizend, en roofden veel roofs.
14 and to be after to come (in): come Amaziah from to smite [obj] Edomite and to come (in): bring [obj] God son: descendant/people Seir and to stand: stand them to/for him to/for God and to/for face: before their to bow and to/for them to offer: offer
Het geschiedde nu, nadat Amazia van het slaan der Edomieten gekomen was, en dat hij de goden der kinderen van Seir medegebracht had, dat hij die zich tot goden stelde, en zich voor dezelve neder boog en dien rookte.
15 and to be incensed face: anger LORD in/on/with Amaziah and to send: depart to(wards) him prophet and to say to/for him to/for what? to seek [obj] God [the] people which not to rescue [obj] people their from hand: power your
Toen ontstak de toorn des HEEREN tegen Amazia; en Hij zond tot hem een profeet, die zeide tot hem: Waarom hebt gij de goden van dat volk gezocht, die hun volk niet gered hebben uit uw hand?
16 and to be in/on/with to speak: speak he to(wards) him and to say to/for him to/for to advise to/for king to give: make you to cease to/for you to/for what? to smite you and to cease [the] prophet and to say to know for to advise God to/for to ruin you for to make: do this and not to hear: hear to/for counsel my
En het geschiedde, als hij tot hem sprak, dat hij hem zeide: Heeft men u tot des konings raadgever gesteld? Houd gij op; waarom zouden zij u slaan? Toen hield de profeet op, en zeide: Ik merk, dat God besloten heeft u te verderven, dewijl gij dit gedaan, en naar mijn raad niet gehoord hebt.
17 and to advise Amaziah king Judah and to send: depart to(wards) Joash son: child Jehoahaz son: child Jehu king Israel to/for to say (to go: come! [emph?] *Q(K)*) to see: see face
En Amazia, de koning van Juda, werd te rade, dat hij zond tot Joas, den zoon van Joahaz, den zoon van Jehu, den koning van Israel, om te zeggen: Kom, laat ons elkanders aangezicht zien.
18 and to send: depart Joash king Israel to(wards) Amaziah king Judah to/for to say [the] thistle which in/on/with Lebanon to send: depart to(wards) [the] cedar which in/on/with Lebanon to/for to say to give: give(marriage) [emph?] [obj] daughter your to/for son: child my to/for woman: wife and to pass living thing [the] land: wildlife which in/on/with Lebanon and to trample [obj] [the] thistle
Maar Joas, de koning van Israel, zond tot Amazia, den koning van Juda, om te zeggen: De distel, die op den Libanon is, zond tot den ceder, die op den Libanon is, om te zeggen: Geef uw dochter mijn zoon ter vrouw; maar het gedierte des velds, dat op den Libanon is, ging voorbij, en vertrad de distel.
19 to say behold to smite [obj] Edom and to lift: enthuse you heart your to/for to honor: honour now to dwell [emph?] in/on/with house: home your to/for what? to stir up in/on/with distress: harm and to fall: kill you(m. s.) and Judah with you
Gij zegt: Zie, gij hebt de Edomieten geslagen; daarom heeft uw hart u verheven, om te roemen; nu, blijf in uw huis; waarom zoudt gij u in het kwaad mengen, dat gij vallen zoudt; gij en Juda met u?
20 and not to hear: hear Amaziah for from [the] God he/she/it because to give: give them in/on/with hand: power for to seek [obj] God Edom
Doch Amazia hoorde niet, want het was van God, opdat Hij hen in hun hand gave, overmits zij de goden der Edomieten gezocht hadden.
21 and to ascend: rise Joash king Israel and to see: approach face: kindness he/she/it and Amaziah king Judah in/on/with Beth-shemesh Beth-shemesh which to/for Judah
Zo toog Joas, de koning van Israel, op, en hij en Amazia, de koning van Juda, zagen elkanders aangezichten te Beth-Semes, dat in Juda is.
22 and to strike Judah to/for face: before Israel and to flee man: anyone to/for tent: home his
En Juda werd geslagen voor het aangezicht van Israel; en zij vloden een iegelijk in zijn tenten.
23 and [obj] Amaziah king Judah son: child Joash son: child Ahaziah to capture Joash king Israel in/on/with Beth-shemesh Beth-shemesh and to come (in): bring him Jerusalem and to break through in/on/with wall Jerusalem from gate Ephraim (Gate) till gate [the] Corner (Gate) four hundred cubit
En Joas, de koning van Israel, greep Amazia, den koning van Juda, den zoon van Joas, den zoon van Joahaz, te Beth-Semes; en hij bracht hem te Jeruzalem, en hij brak aan den muur van Jeruzalem, van de poort van Efraim tot aan de Hoekpoort, vierhonderd ellen.
24 and all [the] gold and [the] silver: money and [obj] all [the] article/utensil [the] to find in/on/with house: temple [the] God with Obed-edom Obed-edom and [obj] treasure house: palace [the] king and [obj] son: type of [the] security and to return: return Samaria
Daartoe nam hij al het goud, en het zilver, en al de vaten, die in het huis Gods gevonden werden, bij Obed-Edom, en de schatten van het huis des konings, mitsgaders gijzelaars, en hij keerde weder naar Samaria.
25 and to live Amaziah son: child Joash king Judah after death Joash son: child Jehoahaz king Israel five ten year
Amazia nu, de zoon van Joas, de koning van Juda, leefde na den dood van Joas, den zoon van Joahaz, den koning van Israel, vijftien jaren.
26 and remainder word: deed Amaziah [the] first and [the] last not look! they to write upon scroll: book king Judah and Israel
Het overige nu der geschiedenissen van Amazia, de eerste en de laatste, ziet, zijn die niet geschreven in het boek der koningen van Juda en Israel?
27 and from time which to turn aside: turn aside Amaziah from after LORD and to conspire upon him conspiracy in/on/with Jerusalem and to flee Lachish [to] and to send: depart after him Lachish [to] and to die him there
Van den tijd nu af, dat Amazia afgeweken was van achter den HEERE, zo maakten zij in Jeruzalem een verbintenis tegen hem; doch hij vluchtte naar Lachis. Toen zonden zij hem na tot Lachis, en doodden hem aldaar.
28 and to lift: bear him upon [the] horse and to bury [obj] him with father his in/on/with city Judah
En zij brachten hem op paarden, en begroeven hem bij zijn vaderen in de stad van Juda.
