2 Chronicles 20
1 and to be after so to come (in): come son: descendant/people Moab and son: descendant/people Ammon and with them from [the] Meunite upon Jehoshaphat to/for battle
Später begab es sich, daß die Moabiter und Ammoniter und mit ihnen ein Teil der Mehuniter heranzogen, um Josaphat zu bekriegen.
2 and to come (in): come and to tell to/for Jehoshaphat to/for to say to come (in): come upon you crowd many from side: beyond to/for sea from Edom and behold they in/on/with Hazazon-tamar Hazazon-tamar he/she/it Engedi Engedi
Als nun Boten kamen und dem Josaphat die Meldung brachten: »Ein großer Heerhaufe rückt von jenseits des (Toten) Meeres aus Syrien gegen dich heran, und sie stehen schon in Hazezon-Thamar, das ist Engedi«:
3 and to fear and to give: put Jehoshaphat [obj] face his to/for to seek to/for LORD and to call: call out fast upon all Judah
da erschrak Josaphat und faßte den festen Entschluß, sich an den HERRN zu wenden; und er ließ in ganz Juda ein Fasten ausrufen.
4 and to gather Judah to/for to seek from LORD also from all city Judah to come (in): come to/for to seek [obj] LORD
Als nun die Judäer zusammengekommen waren, um den HERRN um Hilfe anzuflehen, und sie sich auch aus allen Städten Judas versammelt hatten, um Hilfe vom HERRN zu erbitten,
5 and to stand: stand Jehoshaphat in/on/with assembly Judah and Jerusalem in/on/with house: temple LORD to/for face: before [the] court [the] new
da trat Josaphat in der Volksgemeinde Judas und Jerusalems im Tempel des HERRN vor dem neuen Vorhofe auf
6 and to say LORD God father our not you(m. s.) he/she/it God in/on/with heaven and you(m. s.) to rule in/on/with all kingdom [the] nation and in/on/with hand: power your strength and might and nothing with you to/for to stand
und betete: »HERR, du Gott unserer Väter, bist du nicht der Gott im Himmel und du nicht der Herrscher über alle Königreiche der Heiden? Ja, in deiner Hand ist Kraft und Stärke, und niemand vermag dir zu widerstehen.
7 not you(m. s.) God our to possess: take [obj] to dwell [the] land: country/planet [the] this from to/for face: before people your Israel and to give: give her to/for seed: children Abraham to love: friend you to/for forever: enduring
Hast nicht du, unser Gott, einst die Bewohner dieses Landes vor deinem Volk Israel vertrieben und dies Land den Nachkommen Abrahams, deines Freundes, für ewige Zeit gegeben?
8 and to dwell in/on/with her and to build to/for you in/on/with her sanctuary to/for name your to/for to say
So haben sie sich denn darin niedergelassen und dir ein Heiligtum darin für deinen Namen gebaut, indem sie dachten:
9 if to come (in): come upon us distress: harm sword judgment and pestilence and famine to stand: stand to/for face: before [the] house: home [the] this and to/for face: before your for name your in/on/with house: home [the] this and to cry out to(wards) you from distress our and to hear: hear and to save
›Wenn Unglück über uns hereinbricht, Krieg als Strafgericht oder die Pest oder Hungersnot, und wir dann vor dieses Haus und vor dich hintreten – denn dein Name wohnt in diesem Hause! – und wir in unserer Bedrängnis zu dir schreien, so wirst du uns erhören und erretten.«
10 and now behold son: descendant/people Ammon and Moab and mountain: mount (Mount) Seir which not to give: allow to/for Israel to/for to come (in): come in/on/with them in/on/with to come (in): come they from land: country/planet Egypt for to turn aside: turn aside from upon them and not to destroy them
Und nun, siehe, die Ammoniter und Moabiter und die Bewohner des Gebirges Seir, deren Land du einst die Israeliten, als sie aus Ägypten kamen, nicht hast betreten lassen, sondern an denen sie vorübergezogen sind, ohne sie zu vernichten:
11 and behold they(masc.) to wean upon us to/for to come (in): come to/for to drive out: drive out us from possession your which to possess: possess us
siehe, die wollen uns das jetzt entgelten lassen, indem sie kommen, um uns aus deinem Eigentum zu vertreiben, das du uns zum Besitz verliehen hast.
12 God our not to judge in/on/with them for nothing in/on/with us strength to/for face: before [the] crowd [the] many [the] this [the] to come (in): come upon us and we not to know what? to make: do for upon you eye our
O unser Gott, willst du nicht strafend gegen sie vorgehen? Denn wir sind zu schwach gegenüber dieser gewaltigen Übermacht, die gegen uns heranzieht, und wir wissen nicht, was wir tun sollen, sondern auf dich sind unsere Augen gerichtet!«
13 (and all *LAB(h)*) Judah to stand: stand to/for face: before LORD also child their woman: wife their and son: child their
So standen die Judäer insgesamt vor dem HERRN da samt ihren kleinen Kindern, ihren Frauen und Söhnen.
14 and Jahaziel son: descendant/people Zechariah son: descendant/people Benaiah son: descendant/people Jeiel son: descendant/people Mattaniah [the] Levi from son: descendant/people Asaph to be upon him spirit LORD in/on/with midst [the] assembly
Da wurde Jahasiel, der Sohn Sacharjas, des Sohnes Benajas, des Sohnes Jehiels, des Sohnes Matthanjas, der Levit aus den Nachkommen Asaphs, inmitten der Volksgemeinde vom Geist des HERRN ergriffen,
15 and to say to listen all Judah and to dwell Jerusalem and [the] king Jehoshaphat thus to say LORD to/for you you(m. p.) not to fear and not to to be dismayed from face: because [the] crowd [the] many [the] this for not to/for you [the] battle for to/for God
so daß er ausrief: »Merkt auf, ihr Judäer alle und ihr Bewohner Jerusalems und du, König Josaphat! So spricht der HERR zu euch: ›Ihr braucht euch nicht zu fürchten und nicht zu erschrecken vor diesem großen Haufen; denn nicht eure Sache ist der Kampf, sondern die Sache Gottes!
16 tomorrow to go down upon them look! they to ascend: rise in/on/with ascent [the] Ziz and to find [obj] them in/on/with end [the] torrent: valley face: east wilderness Jeruel
Zieht morgen gegen sie hinab: sie werden dann gerade die Anhöhe Ziz heraufkommen, und ihr werdet am Ende der Schlucht vor der Steppe Jeruel auf sie stoßen.
17 not to/for you to/for to fight in/on/with this to stand to stand: stand and to see: see [obj] salvation LORD with you Judah and Jerusalem not to fear and not to to be dismayed tomorrow to come out: come to/for face: before their and LORD with you
Ihr sollt aber dabei nicht selbst zu kämpfen haben; nein, nehmt nur Aufstellung, bleibt ruhig stehen und seht die Rettung an, die der HERR euch widerfahren läßt, Juda und Jerusalem! Fürchtet euch nicht und seid nicht verzagt! Zieht ihnen morgen entgegen: der HERR wird mit euch sein!‹«
18 and to bow Jehoshaphat face land: soil [to] and all Judah and to dwell Jerusalem to fall: fall to/for face: before LORD to/for to bow to/for LORD
Da verneigte sich Josaphat mit dem Gesicht bis zur Erde, und alle Judäer samt den Bewohnern Jerusalems warfen sich vor dem HERRN nieder, um den HERRN anzubeten.
19 and to arise: rise [the] Levi from son: descendant/people [the] Kohathite and from son: descendant/people [the] Korahite to/for to boast: praise to/for LORD God Israel in/on/with voice great: large to/for above [to]
Alsdann traten die Leviten auf, die zum Geschlecht der Kahathiten und der Korahiten gehörten, um mit überaus lauter Stimme Loblieder auf den HERRN, den Gott Israels, zu singen.
20 and to rise in/on/with morning and to come out: come to/for wilderness Tekoa and in/on/with to come out: come they to stand: stand Jehoshaphat and to say to hear: hear me Judah and to dwell Jerusalem be faithful in/on/with LORD God your and be faithful be faithful in/on/with prophet his and to prosper
Als sie dann am andern Morgen in aller Frühe nach der Steppe Thekoa aufbrachen, trat Josaphat bei ihrem Auszuge auf und sagte: »Hört mich an, ihr Judäer und ihr Bewohner Jersualems! Vertraut auf den HERRN, euren Gott, so werdet ihr gesichert sein! Vertraut auf seine Propheten, so werdet ihr siegen!«
21 and to advise to(wards) [the] people and to stand: appoint to sing to/for LORD and to boast: praise to/for adornment holiness in/on/with to come out: come to/for face: before [the] to arm and to say to give thanks to/for LORD for to/for forever: enduring kindness his
Sodann traf er Verabredungen mit dem Kriegsvolk und ließ Sänger antreten, die zu Ehren des HERRN im heiligen Schmuck Loblieder anstimmen mußten, während sie an der Spitze der gerüsteten Krieger einherzogen und sangen: »Danket dem HERRN, denn seine Güte währet ewiglich!«
22 and in/on/with time to profane/begin: begin in/on/with cry and praise to give: put LORD to ambush upon son: descendant/people Ammon Moab and mountain: mount (Mount) Seir [the] to come (in): come to/for Judah and to strike
Sobald sie aber mit dem Jubelruf und Lobgesang begonnen hatten, ließ der HERR feindselige Mächte gegen die Ammoniter, Moabiter und die Bewohner des Gebirges Seir, die gegen Juda heranzogen, in Wirksamkeit treten, so daß sie sich selbst aufrieben.
23 and to stand: rise son: descendant/people Ammon and Moab upon to dwell mountain: mount (Mount) Seir to/for to devote/destroy and to/for to destroy and like/as to end: finish they in/on/with to dwell (Mount) Seir to help man: anyone in/on/with neighbor his to/for destruction
Denn die Ammoniter und Moabiter erhoben sich gegen die Bewohner des Gebirges Seir, um sie niederzumachen und zu vertilgen; und als sie mit den Bewohnern von Seir fertig waren, half einer dem andern zur gegenseitigen Vernichtung.
24 and Judah to come (in): come upon [the] lookout to/for wilderness and to turn to(wards) [the] crowd and look! they corpse to fall: fall land: soil [to] and nothing survivor
Als nun die Judäer auf der Berghöhe ankamen, von wo man die Steppe übersehen konnte, und sie nach dem Heerhaufen ausschauten, sahen sie nur Leichen am Boden liegen: keiner war entronnen.
25 and to come (in): come Jehoshaphat and people his to/for to plunder [obj] spoil their and to find in/on/with them to/for abundance and property and corpse and article/utensil precious thing and to rescue to/for them to/for nothing burden and to be day three to plunder [obj] [the] spoil for many he/she/it
Da kam Josaphat mit seinem Heer heran, um zu plündern, was jene bei sich gehabt hatten, und sie fanden bei ihnen eine Menge Vieh und Habseligkeiten, Kleider und kostbare Sachen, und erbeuteten davon so viel, daß sie es nicht fortschaffen konnten; drei Tage lang plünderten sie: so groß war die Beute.
26 and in/on/with day: today [the] fourth to gather to/for Valley (of Beracah) Beracah (Valley) for there to bless [obj] LORD upon so to call: call by [obj] name [the] place [the] he/she/it Valley (of Beracah) Beracah (Valley) till [the] day: today
Am vierten Tage aber versammelten sie sich im ›Lobpreistal‹; dort nämlich lobpriesen sie den HERRN; daher führt jener Ort den Namen ›Lobpreistal‹ bis auf den heutigen Tag.
27 and to return: return all man Judah and Jerusalem and Jehoshaphat in/on/with head: leader their to/for to return: return to(wards) Jerusalem in/on/with joy for to rejoice them LORD from enemy their
Hierauf kehrte die ganze Mannschaft Judas und Jerusalems wieder um, mit Josaphat an ihrer Spitze, um voller Freude nach Jerusalem zurückzukehren; denn der HERR hatte sie an ihren Feinden Freude erleben lassen.
28 and to come (in): come Jerusalem in/on/with harp and in/on/with lyre and in/on/with trumpet to(wards) house: temple LORD
So zogen sie denn in Jerusalem ein unter Harfen-, Zither- und Trompetenklang, zum Tempel des HERRN hin.
29 and to be dread God upon all kingdom [the] land: country/planet in/on/with to hear: hear they for to fight LORD with enemy Israel
Auf alle Reiche der (benachbarten) Länder aber fiel ein Schrecken Gottes, als sie vernahmen, daß der HERR selbst mit den Feinden Israels gestritten hatte.
30 and to quiet royalty Jehoshaphat and to rest to/for him God his from around
Daher verlief die weitere Regierung Josaphats in Frieden, da sein Gott ihm Ruhe ringsumher verschafft hatte.
31 and to reign Jehoshaphat upon Judah son: aged thirty and five year in/on/with to reign he and twenty and five year to reign in/on/with Jerusalem and name mother his Azubah daughter Shilhi
So regierte denn Josaphat über Juda; fünfunddreißig Jahre war er beim Regierungsantritt alt, und fünfundzwanzig Jahre regierte er in Jerusalem; seine Mutter hieß Asuba und war eine Tochter Silhis.
32 and to go: walk in/on/with way: conduct father his Asa and not to turn aside: turn aside from her to/for to make: do [the] upright in/on/with eye: seeing LORD
Er wandelte auf dem Wege seines Vaters Asa, ohne davon abzuweichen, so daß er tat, was dem HERRN wohlgefiel.
33 surely [the] high place not to turn aside: remove and still [the] people not to establish: establish heart their to/for God father their
Nur der Höhendienst wurde nicht beseitigt, und das Volk hatte sein Herz immer noch nicht fest auf den Gott seiner Väter gerichtet. –
34 and remainder word: deed Jehoshaphat [the] first and [the] last look! they to write in/on/with word: deed Jehu son: child Hanani which to ascend: establish upon scroll: book king Israel
Die übrige Geschichte Josaphats aber, von Anfang bis zu Ende, findet sich bekanntlich bereits aufgezeichnet in der Geschichte Jehus, des Sohnes Hananis, die in das Buch der Könige von Israel aufgenommen ist.
35 and after so to unite Jehoshaphat king Judah with Ahaziah king Israel he/she/it be wicked to/for to make: do
Später verbündete sich Josaphat, der König von Juda, mit dem König Ahasja von Israel, der in seinem Tun gottlos war;
36 and to unite him with him to/for to make fleet to/for to go: went Tarshish and to make fleet in/on/with Ezion-geber Ezion-geber
und zwar schloß er einen Bund mit ihm, um Schiffe zu bauen, die nach Tharsis fahren sollten; und sie ließen wirklich Schiffe in Ezjon-Geber bauen.
37 and to prophesy Eliezer son: child Dodavahu from Mareshah upon Jehoshaphat to/for to say like/as to unite you with Ahaziah to break through LORD [obj] deed: work your and to break fleet and not to restrain to/for to go: went to(wards) Tarshish
Aber Elieser, der Sohn Dodawas, aus Maresa, sprach gegen Josaphat die Weissagung aus: »Weil du dich in ein Bündnis mit Ahasja eingelassen hast, wird der HERR dein Machwerk zerstören!« So scheiterten denn die Schiffe und kamen nicht dazu, nach Tharsis zu fahren.
