1 Samuel 9

Lúc ấy, có một người tên Kích trong đại tộc Bên-gia-min. Ông là con của A-bi-ên, cháu Xê-rô, chắt Bê-cô-rát, chít A-phia.

Sau-lơ, con trai ông, là người đẹp trai nhất trong Ít-ra-ên—người khác chỉ đứng đến vai Sau-lơ là cùng.

Một hôm, mấy con lừa của Kích bị lạc. Ông bảo Sau-lơ dẫn một người đầy tớ đi tìm.

Họ tìm khắp vùng đồi núi Ép-ra-im, qua đất Sa-li-sa, đất Sa-lim, đất Bên-gia-min, nhưng vẫn không thấy.

Người đầy tớ đưa ý kiến: “Trong thành này có một người của Đức Chúa Trời là người ai cũng tôn trọng, vì việc gì người ấy nói trước đều ứng nghiệm. Chúng ta nên đến gặp người, có lẽ người sẽ chỉ cho ta đường nào phải đi.”

Sau-lơ nói: “Nếu đi, chúng ta phải có gì đem biếu người của Đức Chúa Trời chứ. Nhưng ta có còn gì đâu? Cả bánh đem theo cũng ăn hết rồi.”

Người đầy tớ thưa: “Tôi chỉ có một miếng bạc nhỏ, để tôi đem tặng cho người của Đức Chúa Trời, mong rằng người sẽ chỉ cho chúng ta lối đi.”
9 to/for face: before in/on/with Israel thus to say [the] man in/on/with to go: went he to/for to seek God to go: come! and to go: went till [the] seer for to/for prophet [the] day to call: call by to/for face: before [the] seer
(Thuở ấy, người Ít-ra-ên vẫn gọi tiên tri là tiên kiến. Vì vậy, khi thỉnh ý Đức Chúa Trời, người ta nói: “Hãy đi cầu hỏi vị tiên kiến.”)
10 and to say Saul to/for youth his pleasant word: speaking your to go: come! [emph?] to go: went and to go: went to(wards) [the] city which there man [the] God
Sau-lơ đồng ý: “Được đó. Chúng ta đi đi!” Họ đi về hướng thành có người của Đức Chúa Trời ở.

Trên đường, khi đang leo đồi, họ gặp mấy cô gái đang đi lấy nước, liền hỏi: “Có phải vị tiên kiến ở đây không?”
12 and to answer [obj] them and to say there behold to/for face: before your to hasten now for [the] day: today to come (in): come to/for city for sacrifice [the] day: today to/for people in/on/with high place
Các cô đáp: “Phải. Vị tiên kiến đang đi đàng kia, trước các ông đó. Hôm nay ông ấy về thành vì có cuộc tế lễ trên đồi.
13 like/as to come (in): come you [the] city so to find [emph?] [obj] him in/on/with before to ascend: rise [the] high place [to] to/for to eat for not to eat [the] people till to come (in): come he for he/she/it to bless [the] sacrifice after so to eat [the] to call: call to and now to ascend: rise for [obj] him like/as [the] day: today to find [emph?] [obj] him
Nếu nhanh chân các ông sẽ gặp được nhà tiên kiến khi vào thành, trước khi ông lên đồi dự lễ. Mọi người chờ vị tiên kiến đến chúc phước cho lễ vật rồi mới ăn.”

Họ vội vàng vào thành. Vừa vào họ thấy Sa-mu-ên đi ra, trên đường đi lên đồi.

Trước hôm Sau-lơ đến, Chúa Hằng Hữu có tỏ cho Sa-mu-ên hay:
16 like/as time tomorrow to send: depart to(wards) you man from land: country/planet Benjamin and to anoint him to/for leader upon people my Israel and to save [obj] people my from hand: power Philistine for to see: see [obj] people my for to come (in): come cry his to(wards) me
“Ngày mai, vào giờ này, Ta sẽ sai một người từ Bên-gia-min đến gặp con, con sẽ xức dầu cho người ấy làm vua Ít-ra-ên Ta. Người ấy sẽ giải thoát dân Ta khỏi tay quân Phi-li-tin; vì Ta nhìn thấy nỗi khổ của họ, tiếng kêu của họ đã thấu đến Ta.”

Khi Sa-mu-ên thấy Sau-lơ, Chúa Hằng Hữu phán: “Đó là người mà Ta đã nói với con! Người ấy sẽ cai trị dân Ta.”
18 and to approach: approach Saul [obj] Samuel in/on/with midst [the] gate and to say to tell [emph?] please to/for me where? this house: home [the] seer
Sau-lơ bước đến hỏi Sa-mu-ên: “Xin ông cho biết nhà của vị tiên kiến ở đâu?”
19 and to answer Samuel [obj] Saul and to say I [the] seer to ascend: rise to/for face: before my [the] high place and to eat with me [the] day and to send: let go you in/on/with morning and all which in/on/with heart your to tell to/for you
Sa-mu-ên đáp: “Tôi là tiên kiến đây! Hãy đi lên nơi thờ phụng ở phía trước tôi. Chúng ta sẽ ăn chung với nhau tại đó, tôi sẽ nói với ông mọi điều muốn biết rồi ông hãy lên đường.
20 and to/for she-ass [the] to perish to/for you [the] day three [the] day not to set: make [obj] heart your to/for them for to find and to/for who? all desire Israel not to/for you and to/for all house: household father your
Ông đừng lo lắng về mấy con lừa mất ba hôm trước, vì đã tìm được chúng rồi. Tuy nhiên, mọi của cải được người ta quý chuộng nhất sẽ thuộc về ông và đại gia đình ông.”

Sau-lơ nói: “Nhưng tôi thuộc đại tộc Bên-gia-min, một tộc nhỏ nhất trong Ít-ra-ên, gia đình tôi lại nhỏ nhất trong các gia đình của đại tộc Bên-gia-min! Tại sao ông lại nói với tôi những lời này?”

Sa-mu-ên dẫn Sau-lơ và người đầy tớ vào phòng họp lớn, đặt họ ngồi chỗ danh dự trước ba mươi quan khách khác.
23 and to say Samuel to/for guard to give: give [emph?] [obj] [the] portion which to give: give to/for you which to say to(wards) you to set: put [obj] her with you
Sa-mu-ên bảo người đầu bếp: “Dọn ra đây phần tôi đã đưa và dặn anh để riêng.”
24 and to exalt [the] guard [obj] [the] leg and [the] upon her and to set: make to/for face: before Saul and to say behold [the] to remain to set: make to/for face: before your to eat for to/for meeting: time appointed to keep: guard to/for you to/for to say [the] people to call: call to and to eat Saul with Samuel in/on/with day [the] he/she/it
Người đầu bếp đem miếng thịt vai dọn cho Sau-lơ. Sa-mu-ên nói: “Mời ông dùng. Tôi đã để dành phần ấy cho ông trước khi mời khách.” Vậy Sau-lơ cùng ăn với Sa-mu-ên hôm ấy.
25 and to go down from [the] high place [the] city and to speak: speak with Saul upon [the] roof
Khi họ đã rời nơi dự lễ và trở vào thành, Sa-mu-ên dẫn Sau-lơ lên sân thượng để chuyện trò.
26 and to rise and to be like/as to ascend: dawn [the] dawn and to call: call out Samuel to(wards) Saul ([the] roof [to] *Q(K)*) to/for to say to arise: rise [emph?] and to send: depart you and to arise: rise Saul and to come out: come two their he/she/it and Samuel [the] outside [to]
Sáng sớm hôm sau, Sa-mu-ên gọi Sau-lơ, lúc đó ở trên sân thượng, và nói: “Tôi sẽ đưa ông lên đường.” Họ cùng nhau đi ra.
27 they(masc.) to go down in/on/with end [the] city and Samuel to say to(wards) Saul to say to/for youth and to pass to/for face: before our and to pass and you(m. s.) to stand: stand like/as day and to hear: proclaim you [obj] word God
Khi đi đến cuối thành, Sa-mu-ên bảo Sau-lơ cho người đầy tớ đi trước. Sau khi đầy tớ đi rồi, Sa-mu-ên nói: “Hãy đứng lại, vì tôi có sứ điệp đặc biệt của Đức Chúa Trời truyền cho ông.”
