1 Samuel 14
1 and to be [the] day and to say Jonathan son: child Saul to(wards) [the] youth to lift: bear article/utensil his to go: come! [emph?] and to pass to(wards) station Philistine which from side: beside this and to/for father his not to tell
ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ, ಸೌಲನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋನಾತಾನನು ತನ್ನ ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರುವ ಯುವಕನಿಗೆ, “ನಾವು ನಮಗೆದುರಾಗಿರುವ ಆಚೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಠಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗೋಣ ಬಾ,” ಎಂದನು. ಆದರೆ ತಂದೆಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
2 and Saul to dwell in/on/with end [the] Gibeah underneath: under [the] pomegranate which in/on/with Migron and [the] people which with him like/as six hundred man
ಸೌಲನು ಗಿಬೆಯದ ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಯ ಮೇರೆಯಾದ ಮಿಗ್ರೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ದಾಳಿಂಬೆ ಮರದ ಕೆಳಗಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸುಮಾರು ಆರುನೂರು ಜನರಿದ್ದರು.
3 and Ahijah son: child Ahitub brother: male-sibling Ichabod son: child Phinehas son: child Eli priest LORD in/on/with Shiloh to lift: bear ephod and [the] people not to know for to go: went Jonathan
ಆಗ ಏಲಿಯ ಮಗ ಫೀನೆಹಾಸನ ಮಗ ಈಕಾಬೋದನ ಸಹೋದರ ಅಹೀಟೂಬನ ಮಗ ಅಹೀಯನು ಶೀಲೋವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಏಫೋದನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಯಾಜಕನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಆದರೆ ಯೋನಾತಾನನು ಹೋದದ್ದನ್ನು ಜನರು ಅರಿಯದೆ ಇದ್ದರು.
4 and between: among [the] ford which to seek Jonathan to/for to pass upon station Philistine tooth: crag [the] crag from [the] side: beside from this and tooth: crag [the] crag from [the] side: beside from this and name [the] one Bozez and name [the] one Seneh
ಯೋನಾತಾನನು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಠಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಟಿ ಹೋಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹುಡುಕಿದ ಮಾರ್ಗದ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಕಡೆ ಆ ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೊಚೇಚ್, ಸೆನೆ ಎಂಬ ಚೂಪಾದ ಎರಡು ಬಂಡೆಗಳಿದ್ದವು.
5 [the] tooth: crag [the] one pillar from north opposite Michmash and [the] one from south opposite Geba
ಆ ಬಂಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕ್ಕೆ ಮಿಕ್ಮಾಷಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿಯೂ, ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ದಕ್ಷಿಣಕ್ಕೆ ಗಿಬೆಯಕ್ಕೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿಯೂ ಇತ್ತು.
6 and to say Jonathan to(wards) [the] youth to lift: bear article/utensil his to go: come! [emph?] and to pass to(wards) station [the] uncircumcised [the] these perhaps to make: do LORD to/for us for nothing to/for LORD restraint to/for to save in/on/with many or in/on/with little
ಆಗ ಯೋನಾತಾನನು ತನ್ನ ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವ ಯುವಕನಿಗೆ, “ನಾವು ಈ ಸುನ್ನತಿ ಇಲ್ಲದವರ ಠಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಟಿ ಹೋಗೋಣ ಬಾ; ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುವರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅನೇಕ ಜನರಿಂದಲಾದರೂ, ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಜನರಿಂದಲಾದರೂ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅಸಾಧ್ಯವಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದನು.
7 and to say to/for him to lift: bearing(armour) article/utensil his to make: do all which in/on/with heart your to stretch to/for you look! I with you like/as heart your
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನ ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರುವವನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಿನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವುದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಡು; ನಡಿ, ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಹೃದಯದಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ,” ಎಂದನು.
8 and to say Jonathan behold we to pass to(wards) [the] human and to reveal: reveal to(wards) them
ಆಗ ಯೋನಾತಾನನು, “ನಾವು ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ದಾಟಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆವು.
9 if thus to say to(wards) us to silence: stationary till to touch we to(wards) you and to stand: stand underneath: stand us and not to ascend: rise to(wards) them
ಅವರು, ‘ನಾವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವವರೆಗೆ ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿರಿ,’ ಎಂದು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೇಳಿದರೆ; ನಾವು ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗದೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುವೆವು.
10 and if thus to say to ascend: rise upon us and to ascend: rise for to give: give them LORD in/on/with hand: power our and this to/for us [the] sign: indicator
ಆದರೆ ಅವರು, ‘ಮೇಲೆ ಹತ್ತಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ನಾವು ಮೇಲೆ ಹತ್ತಿ ಹೋಗೋಣ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರೆಂಬುದಕ್ಕೆ ಇದೇ ನಮಗೆ ಗುರುತಾಗಿರುವುದು,” ಎಂದನು.
11 and to reveal: reveal two their to(wards) station Philistine and to say Philistine behold Hebrew to come out: come from [the] hole which to hide there
ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ತಾವು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಠಾಣ್ಯದವರೆಗೂ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಆಗ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು, “ಗುಹೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಹಿಬ್ರಿಯರು ಹೊರಟು ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
12 and to answer human [the] guard [obj] Jonathan and [obj] to lift: bearing(armour) article/utensil his and to say to ascend: rise to(wards) us and to know [obj] you word: thing and to say Jonathan to(wards) to lift: bearing(armour) article/utensil his to ascend: rise after me for to give: give them LORD in/on/with hand: power Israel
ಠಾಣ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಯೋನಾತಾನನಿಗೂ, ಅವನ ಆಯುಧ ಹೊರುವವನಿಗೂ, “ಮೇಲೆ ಹತ್ತಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಪಾಠ ಕಲಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ,” ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿದರು. ಆಗ ಯೋನಾತಾನನು ತನ್ನ ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರುವವನಿಗೆ, “ನನ್ನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಏರಿ ಬಾ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು,” ಎಂದನು.
13 and to ascend: rise Jonathan upon hand his and upon foot his and to lift: bearing(armour) article/utensil his after him and to fall: kill to/for face: before Jonathan and to lift: bearing(armour) article/utensil his to die after him
ಯೋನಾತಾನನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳಿಂದಲೂ, ಕಾಲುಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಹತ್ತಿದನು. ಅವನ ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರುವವನು ಅವನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹತ್ತಿದನು. ಆಗ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ಯೋನಾತಾನನ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಿದ್ದರು. ಅವನ ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರುವವನು ಅವನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಕೊಲ್ಲುತ್ತಾ ಹೋದನು.
14 and to be [the] wound [the] first which to smite Jonathan and to lift: bearing(armour) article/utensil his like/as twenty man like/as in/on/with half furrow pair land: country
ಯೋನಾತಾನನೂ, ಅವನ ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರುವವನೂ ಹೊಡೆದ ಆ ಮೊದಲ ಸಂಹಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಧ ಎಕರೆ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತವರು ಸುಮಾರು ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಜನರಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
15 and to be trembling in/on/with camp in/on/with land: country and in/on/with all [the] people [the] station and [the] to ruin to tremble also they(masc.) and to tremble [the] land: country/planet and to be to/for trembling God
ಆಗ ಪಾಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯ ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದ ಸಕಲ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಭಯದಿಂದ ನಡುಕ ಉಂಟಾಯಿತು. ಠಾಣ್ಯದವರೂ, ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಗಾರರೂ ಹೆದರಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ, ದೇವರು ಭೂಕಂಪವನ್ನುಂಟುಮಾಡಿದರು. ಹೀಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕಳವಳವಾಯಿತು.
16 and to see: see [the] to watch to/for Saul in/on/with Gibeah Benjamin and behold [the] crowd to melt and to go: went and here
ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನ್ಯರ ಗಿಬೆಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಸೌಲನ ಕಾವಲಿನವರು ಕಂಡಾಗ, ಆ ಗುಂಪಿನವರು ಕರಗಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾ, ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಸಂಹರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದರು.
17 and to say Saul to/for people which with him to reckon: list please and to see: see who? to go: went from from with us and to reckon: list and behold nothing Jonathan and to lift: bearing(armour) article/utensil his
ಆಗ ಸೌಲನು ತನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಜನರಿಗೆ, “ನಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಹೋದವರು ಯಾರೆಂದು ಲೆಕ್ಕವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿರಿ,” ಎಂದನು. ಅವರು ಲೆಕ್ಕ ನೋಡುವಾಗ, ಯೋನಾತಾನನೂ, ಅವನ ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರುವವನೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
18 and to say Saul to/for Ahijah to approach: bring [emph?] ark [the] God for to be ark [the] God in/on/with day [the] he/she/it and son: descendant/people Israel
ಆಗ ಸೌಲನು ಅಹೀಯನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಾ,” ಎಂದನು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷವು ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿತ್ತು.
19 and to be till to speak: speak Saul to(wards) [the] priest and [the] crowd which in/on/with camp Philistine and to go: continue to go: continue and many and to say Saul to(wards) [the] priest to gather hand your
ಸೌಲನು ಯಾಜಕನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇನ್ನೂ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ, ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ದಂಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೋಲಾಹಲವು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಯಿತು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಸೌಲನು ಯಾಜಕನಿಗೆ, “ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈ ಹಿಂದೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೋ,” ಎಂದನು.
20 and to cry out Saul and all [the] people which with him and to come (in): come till [the] battle and behold to be sword man: anyone in/on/with neighbor his tumult great: large much
ಆಗ ಸೌಲನೂ, ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕಿದ್ದ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ, ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಗಲಿಬಿಲಿಯುಂಟಾಗಿ ಒಬ್ಬನ ಖಡ್ಗವು ಒಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
21 and [the] Hebrew to be to/for Philistine like/as previously three days ago which to ascend: rise with them in/on/with camp around and also they(masc.) to/for to be with Israel which with Saul and Jonathan
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಪೂರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ಅವರೊಡನೆ ದಂಡಿನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸುತ್ತಲಿರುವ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಹಿಬ್ರಿಯರು ಸೌಲ ಮತ್ತು, ಯೋನಾತಾನನ ಜೊತೆ ಇರುವ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಸಂಗಡ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
22 and all man Israel [the] to hide in/on/with mountain: hill country Ephraim to hear: hear for to flee Philistine and to cleave also they(masc.) after them in/on/with battle
ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ಓಡಿಹೋದರೆಂದು ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮ್ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡಗಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, ಅವರೂ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಿಡದೆ ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು.
23 and to save LORD in/on/with day [the] he/she/it [obj] Israel and [the] battle to pass [obj] Beth-aven Beth-aven
ಹೀಗೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರು. ಆ ಯುದ್ಧವು ಬೇತಾವೆನಿನವರೆಗೂ ನಡೆಯಿತು.
24 and man Israel to oppress in/on/with day [the] he/she/it and to swear Saul [obj] [the] people to/for to say to curse [the] man which to eat food till [the] evening and to avenge from enemy my and not to perceive all [the] people food
ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಆ ದಿವಸ ಬಹಳ ಬಳಲಿ ಹೋದರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಸೌಲನು, “ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ತೀರಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದವರೆಗೆ ಯಾವನು ಆಹಾರ ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೋ, ಅವನು ಶಾಪಗ್ರಸ್ತನಾಗಲಿ,” ಎಂದು ಆಣೆ ಇಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರು ಆಹಾರದ ರುಚಿ ನೋಡದೆ ಇದ್ದರು.
25 and all [the] land: country/planet to come (in): come in/on/with honeycomb and to be honey upon face: before [the] land: soil
ದೇಶದ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅಡವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಜೇನುಗೂಡು ಇತ್ತು.
26 and to come (in): come [the] people to(wards) [the] honeycomb and behold traveller honey and nothing to overtake hand his to(wards) lip his for to fear [the] people [obj] [the] oath
ಜನರು ಆ ಅಡವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗುವಾಗ, ಜೇನುತುಪ್ಪ ಸುರಿಯುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಜನರು ಆ ಆಣೆಯ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ ಒಬ್ಬನಾದರೂ ತನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.
27 and Jonathan not to hear: hear in/on/with to swear father his [obj] [the] people and to send: reach [obj] end [the] tribe: rod which in/on/with hand his and to dip [obj] her in/on/with honeycomb [the] honey and to return: return hand his to(wards) lip his (and to light *Q(K)*) eye his
ಆದರೆ ಯೋನಾತಾನನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಆಣೆ ಇಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಕೇಳದೆ ಇದ್ದ ಕಾರಣ, ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಕೋಲನ್ನು ಚಾಚಿ, ಅದನ್ನು ಜೇನು ತೊಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅದ್ದಿ, ತನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಅದರಿಂದ ಅವನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಕಳೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದವು.
28 and to answer man from [the] people and to say to swear to swear father your [obj] [the] people to/for to say to curse [the] man which to eat food [the] day: today and be faint [the] people
ಆಗ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “‘ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ಆಹಾರ ತಿನ್ನುವವರು ಶಾಪಗ್ರಸ್ತರಾಗಲಿ,’ ಎಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಆಣೆ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಅದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಜನರು ದಣಿದು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ,” ಎಂದನು.
29 and to say Jonathan to trouble father my [obj] [the] land: country/planet to see: see please for to light eye my for to perceive little honey [the] this
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋನಾತಾನನು, “ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಶ್ರಮೆಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನಾನು ಈ ಜೇನುತುಪ್ಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ರುಚಿ ನೋಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಹೇಗೆ ಕಳೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದವೆಂದು ನೋಡು.
30 also for if to eat to eat [the] day [the] people from spoil enemy his which to find for now not to multiply wound in/on/with Philistine
ಈ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರು ತಮಗೆ ದೊರಕಿದ ತಮ್ಮ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವದನ್ನಾದರೂ ಉಚಿತವಾಗಿ ತಿಂದಿದ್ದರೆ ಎಷ್ಟು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಹತರಾಗದವರು ಇನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ,” ಎಂದನು.
31 and to smite in/on/with day [the] he/she/it in/on/with Philistine from Michmash Aijalon [to] and be faint [the] people much
ಜನರು ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಿಕ್ಮಾಷಿನಿಂದ ಅಯ್ಯಾಲೋನಿನವರೆಗೂ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರನ್ನುಳಿಸದೆ ಹೊಡೆದುದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ದಣಿದು ಹೋದರು.
32 (and to pounce *Q(K)*) [the] people to(wards) ([the] spoil *Q(K)*) and to take: take flock and cattle and son: young animal cattle and to slaughter land: soil [to] and to eat [the] people upon [the] blood
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆ ಹೊಡೆದವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ದನಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಕರುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹಿಡಿದು, ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೊಯ್ದು, ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ರಕ್ತದ ಸಂಗಡ ತಿಂದರು.

ಆಗ ಅವರು ಸೌಲನಿಗೆ, “ಇಗೋ, ಜನರು ಮಾಂಸದ ಕೂಡ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುವುದರಿಂದ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ,” ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಅದಕ್ಕವನು, “ನೀವು ನಂಬಿಕೆದ್ರೋಹ ಮಾಡಿದಿರಿ. ಈಗ ಒಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕಲ್ಲನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೊರಳಿಸಿ ಬಿಡಿರಿ,” ಅಂದನು.

ಸೌಲನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಚದರಿಹೋಗಿ, ರಕ್ತ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ತಿಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪಮಾಡದೆ, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಎತ್ತನ್ನೂ, ತನ್ನ ಕುರಿಯನ್ನೂ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಂದು, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಯ್ದು ತಿನ್ನಿರಿ ಎಂಬದಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿರಿ,” ಎಂದನು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಎತ್ತನ್ನು ಆ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಯ್ದನು.

ಸೌಲನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಬಲಿಪೀಠವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದನು. ಅದೇ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅವನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ಬಲಿಪೀಠವು.
36 and to say Saul to go down after Philistine night and to plunder in/on/with them till light [the] morning and not to remain in/on/with them man: anyone and to say all [the] pleasant in/on/with eye: appearance your to make: do and to say [the] priest to present: come here to(wards) [the] God
ಸೌಲನು ಜನರಿಗೆ, “ನಾವು ಈ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರನ್ನು ಬೆನ್ನಟ್ಟಿ ಹೋಗಿ, ಉದಯಕಾಲದವರೆಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುಲಿದುಕೊಂಡು, ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನಾದರೂ ಉಳಿಸಬಾರದು,” ಎಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಜನರು, “ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಗಿ ತೋರುವುದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಡು,” ಎಂದರು. ಆಗ ಯಾಜಕನು, “ದೇವರ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಗೆ ಹೋಗೋಣ,” ಎಂದನು.

ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸೌಲನು, “ನಾನು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿ ಹೋಗಲೋ? ನೀವು ಅವರನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡುವಿರೋ?” ಎಂದು ದೇವರ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಆ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡದೆ ಹೋದರು.

ಆಗ ಸೌಲನು, “ಜನರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರೇ, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ. ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ಈ ಪಾಪ ಯಾವುದರಿಂದ ಉಂಟಾಯಿತೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು ನೋಡಿರಿ.

ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಪುತ್ರನಾದ ಯೋನಾತಾನನಿಂದಾದರೂ ಉಂಟಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ಅವನು ಸತ್ತೇ ಸಾಯುವನೆಂದು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಣೆ ಇಟ್ಟು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ,” ಎಂದನು. ಆದರೆ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಾದರೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ಆಗ ಸೌಲನು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಒಂದು ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಿ. ನಾನೂ, ನನ್ನ ಮಗ ಯೋನಾತಾನನೂ ಒಂದು ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುತ್ತೇವೆ,” ಎಂದನು. ಜನರು ಸೌಲನಿಗೆ, “ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಗಿ ತೋರುವುದನ್ನು ಮಾಡು,” ಎಂದರು.

ಸೌಲನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಪೂರ್ಣ ನಿರ್ಣಯವನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಚೀಟು ಹಾಕಿದನು. ಆಗ ಸೌಲನಿಗೂ ಯೋನಾತಾನನಿಗೂ ಚೀಟು ಬಂತು. ಆದರೆ ಜನರು ಪಾರಾದರು.

ಸೌಲನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ನನ್ನ ಮಗ ಯೋನಾತಾನನ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಚೀಟುಹಾಕಿರಿ,” ಎಂದಾಗ, ಯೋನಾತಾನನಿಗೆ ಚೀಟು ಬಿತ್ತು.

ಆಗ ಸೌಲನು ಯೋನಾತಾನನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸು,” ಎಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋನಾತಾನನು, “ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕೋಲಿನ ಕೊನೆಯಿಂದ ನಾನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಜೇನುತುಪ್ಪವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ರುಚಿ ನೋಡಿದೆನು, ನಾನು ಸಾಯಬೇಕು,” ಎಂದನು.

ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸೌಲನು, “ಯೋನಾತಾನನೇ, ನೀನು ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಸಾಯಬೇಕು; ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲಿ,” ಎಂದನು.

ಆದರೆ ಜನರು ಸೌಲನಿಗೆ, “ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ದೊಡ್ಡ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯನ್ನುಂಟುಮಾಡಿದ ಯೋನಾತಾನನು ಸಾಯಬೇಕೋ? ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ, ಇದನ್ನು ಅವನು ದೇವರ ಸಹಾಯದಿಂದ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಅವನ ಒಂದು ಕೂದಲು ನೆಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬೀಳಬಾರದು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಯೋನಾತಾನನು ಸಾಯದ ಹಾಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಯಶ್ಚಿತ್ತವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಬಿಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.

ಆಗ ಸೌಲನು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದರು.

ಹೀಗೆ ಸೌಲನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೊರೆತನವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಸುತ್ತಲಿರುವ ತನ್ನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಾದ ಮೋವಾಬ್ಯರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ, ಅಮ್ಮೋನ್ಯರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ, ಎದೋಮ್ಯರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ, ಚೋಬದ ಅರಸರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ, ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದನು. ಯಾರ ಮೇಲೆ ತಿರುಗಿದನೋ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಪೀಡಿಸಿದನು.

ಅಹೀಮಾಚನ ಪುತ್ರಿಯಾದ ಅಹೀನೋವಮಳು ಸೌಲನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಳು. ಸೌಲನ ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪ ನೇರನ ಮಗ ಅಬ್ನೇರನೆಂಬವನು ಅವನ ಸೈನ್ಯಾಧಿಪತಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದನು.

ಸೌಲನ ಜೀವಮಾನದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರಿಗೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೂ ಘೋರ ಯುದ್ಧ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಸೌಲನು ಯಾವ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಯನ್ನಾದರೂ, ಧೈರ್ಯಶಾಲಿಯನ್ನಾದರೂ ಕಂಡರೆ, ಅಂಥವನನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಸೈನ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
