1 Kings 20
1 and Ben-hadad Ben-hadad king Syria to gather [obj] all strength: soldiers his and thirty and two king with him and horse and chariot and to ascend: rise and to confine upon Samaria and to fight in/on/with her
अराम के राजा बेन-हदद ने अपनी सारी सेना इकट्ठी की. उनके साथ बत्तीस राजा, घोड़े और रथ थे. उसने शमरिया की घेराबंदी कर उससे युद्ध किया.
2 and to send: depart messenger to(wards) Ahab king Israel [the] city [to] and to say to/for him thus to say Ben-hadad Ben-hadad
इसके बाद उसने दूतों द्वारा नगर में इस्राएल के राजा अहाब को यह संदेश भेजा, “यह बेन-हदद का संदेश है,
3 silver: money your and gold your to/for me he/she/it and woman: wife your and son: child your [the] pleasant to/for me they(masc.)
‘तुम्हारा सोना और चांदी मेरा है; तुम्हारी सबसे उत्तम पत्नियां और तुम्हारे बच्चे भी मेरे हैं.’”
4 and to answer king Israel and to say like/as word: speaking your lord my [the] king to/for you I and all which to/for me
इस्राएल के राजा का उत्तर था, “महाराज, मेरे स्वामी, जैसा आप कह रहे हैं, सही है. सब कुछ जो मेरा है आपका ही है और मैं खुद भी आपका हूं.”
5 and to return: again [the] messenger and to say thus to say Ben-hadad Ben-hadad to/for to say for to send: depart to(wards) you to/for to say silver: money your and gold your and woman: wife your and son: child your to/for me to give: give
वे दूत दोबारा आए और उन्होंने यह संदेश दिया, “यह बेन-हदद का संदेश है ‘मैंने तुमसे कहा था, “मुझे अपना सोना, चांदी, पत्नियां और संतान दे दो,”
6 for if: except like/as time tomorrow to send: depart [obj] servant/slave my to(wards) you and to search [obj] house: home your and [obj] house: home servant/slave your and to be all desire eye: appearance your to set: take in/on/with hand: themselves their and to take: take
फिर भी, कल लगभग इसी समय मैं अपने सेवक तुम्हारे यहां भेजूंगा. वे तुम्हारे घरों की और तुम्हारे सेवकों के घरों की छानबीन करेंगे और वह सब लेकर यहां आ जाएंगे, जो तुम्हें प्यारा है.’”
7 and to call: call to king Israel to/for all old: elder [the] land: country/planet and to say to know please and to see: see for distress: harm this to seek for to send: depart to(wards) me to/for woman: wife my and to/for son: child my and to/for silver: money my and to/for gold my and not to withhold from him
यह सुन इस्राएल के राजा ने देश के सारे पुरनियों की एक सभा बुलाई और उन्हें यह कहा, “देख लीजिए, कैसे यह व्यक्ति हमसे झगड़ा मोल ले रहा है! वह मुझसे मेरी पत्नियां और संतान और मेरा सोना और चांदी छीनने की योजना बना रहा है! मैंने यह अस्वीकार नहीं किया है.”
8 and to say to(wards) him all [the] old: elder and all [the] people not to hear: hear and not be willing
सारे पुरनियों और सभा के सदस्यों ने एक मत में कहा, “न तो उसकी सुनिए और न ही उसे सहमति दीजिए.”
9 and to say to/for messenger Ben-hadad Ben-hadad to say to/for lord my [the] king all which to send: depart to(wards) servant/slave your in/on/with first to make: do and [the] word: thing [the] this not be able to/for to make: do and to go: went [the] messenger and to return: return him word
अहाब ने बेन-हदद के दूतों से यह कहा, “महाराज, मेरे स्वामी से जाकर कहना, ‘आपने अपने सेवक से पहले जो कुछ चाहा था, वह मैं करूंगा, किंतु यह मैं नहीं कर सकता.’” दूत लौट गए और दोबारा आकर अहाब को यह संदेश दिया.

उनके लिए बेन-हदद का संदेश था, “देवता मुझसे ऐसा, बल्कि इससे भी अधिक बुरा व्यवहार करें, यदि शमरिया की धूल मेरे थोड़े से पीछे चलने वालों की मुट्ठी भरने के लिए भी काफ़ी हो.”
11 and to answer king Israel and to say to speak: speak not to boast: boast to gird like/as to open
इस्राएल के राजा ने उसे उत्तर दिया, “उससे जाकर कह दो, ‘वह जो हथियार धारण करता है, (विजयी होकर) वह उतारने वाले के समान घमण्ड़ न करे.’”
12 and to be like/as to hear: hear [obj] [the] word [the] this and he/she/it to drink he/she/it and [the] king in/on/with booth and to say to(wards) servant/slave his to set: take and to set: take upon [the] city
बेन-हदद दूसरे राजाओं के साथ, छावनी में, दाखमधु पीने में लगा था. जैसे ही उसने अहाब का संदेश सुना, उसने सैनिकों को आदेश दिया, “चलो मोर्चे पर!” इस पर उन्होंने नगर के विरुद्ध मोर्चा बांध लिया.

एक भविष्यद्वक्ता इस्राएल के राजा अहाब के सामने आ गए. उन्होंने राजा से कहा, “यह याहवेह का संदेश है: ‘क्या तुमने इस बड़ी भीड़ को देखी है? यह देख लेना कि आज मैं इसे तुम्हारे अधीन कर दूंगा. तब तुम यह जान लोगे कि याहवेह मैं ही हूं.’”
14 and to say Ahab in/on/with who? and to say thus to say LORD in/on/with youth ruler [the] province and to say who? to bind [the] battle and to say you(m. s.)
अहाब ने भविष्यद्वक्ता से प्रश्न किया, “कौन करेगा यह?” “भविष्यद्वक्ता ने उत्तर दिया, ‘याहवेह का संदेश यह है, कि यह काम राज्यपाल ही करेंगे.’ “तब अहाब ने प्रश्न किया, युद्ध की पहल कौन करेगा?” भविष्यद्वक्ता ने उत्तर दिया, “आप.”
15 and to reckon: list [obj] youth ruler [the] province and to be hundred two and thirty and after them to reckon: list [obj] all [the] people all son: descendant/people Israel seven thousand
अहाब ने राज्यपालों के सेवकों को इकट्ठा किया; कुल मिलाकर ये गिनती में दो सौ बत्तीस थे; उनके पीछे की पंक्तियों में सात हज़ार इस्राएली सैनिक थे.
16 and to come out: come in/on/with midday and Ben-hadad Ben-hadad to drink drunken in/on/with booth he/she/it and [the] king thirty and two king to help [obj] him
इन्होंने दोपहर के समय कूच किया. इस समय बेन-हदद बत्तीस साथी राजाओं के साथ छावनी में बैठा हुआ दाखमधु के नशे में धुत था.

राज्यपालों के सेवक सबसे आगे थे. बेन-हदद ने भेद लेने के लिए भेदिये भेजे थे. उन्होंने लौटकर उसे यह सूचना दी, “शमरिया से सेना निकल चुकी है.”
18 and to say if to/for peace to come out: come to capture them alive and if to/for battle to come out: come alive to capture them
बेन-हदद ने आदेश दिया, “चाहे वे शांति के लक्ष्य से आ रहे हैं या युद्ध के लक्ष्य से, उन्हें जीवित ही पकड़ लेना.”
19 and these to come out: come from [the] city youth ruler [the] province and [the] strength: soldiers which after them
तब वे नगर से बाहर निकल पड़े. राज्यपालों के सेवक आगे-आगे और उनके पीछे सेना.
20 and to smite man: anyone man his and to flee Syria and to pursue them Israel and to escape Ben-hadad Ben-hadad king Syria upon horse and horseman
हर एक ने अपने-अपने सामने के सैनिक को मार दिया. अरामी सेना के पैर उखड़ गए और इस्राएली सेना ने उनका पीछा करना शुरू कर दिया; मगर अराम का राजा बेन-हदद अपने घोड़े पर घुड़सवारों के साथ भाग निकला.
21 and to come out: come king Israel and to smite [obj] [the] horse and [obj] [the] chariot and to smite in/on/with Syria wound great: large
इस्राएल के राजा ने पीछा करके घोड़ों और रथों को खत्म कर दिया. अरामी सेना हार गई और उसमें बड़ी मार-काट हुई.
22 and to approach: approach [the] prophet to(wards) king Israel and to say to/for him to go: come! to strengthen: strengthen and to know and to see: examine [obj] which to make: do for to/for turn [the] year king Syria to ascend: rise upon you
तब वह भविष्यद्वक्ता इस्राएल के राजा की उपस्थिति में जाकर कहने लगा, “आप आइए और अपने आपको बलवंत करे. फिर सावधानीपूर्वक विचार कीजिए कि अब आपको क्या करना है; क्योंकि वसन्त ऋतु में अराम का राजा आप पर हमला करेगा.”
23 and servant/slave king Syria to say to(wards) him God mountain: mount God their upon so to strengthen: strengthen from us and but to fight with them in/on/with plain if: surely yes not to strengthen: strengthen from them
अराम के राजा के मंत्रियों ने उससे कहा, “उनके देवता पहाड़ियों के देवता हैं. यही कारण है कि वे हमसे अधिक शक्तिशाली साबित हुए हैं, मगर आइए हम उनसे मैदान में युद्ध करें, तब हम निश्चित ही उनसे अधिक मजबूत साबित होंगे.
24 and [obj] [the] word: thing [the] this to make: do to turn aside: remove [the] king man: anyone from place his and to set: put governor underneath: instead them
हम ऐसा करें; राजाओं को हटाकर सेनापतियों को उनकी जगहों पर खड़ा कर दें,
25 and you(m. s.) to count to/for you strength: soldiers like/as strength: soldiers [the] to fall: fall from [obj] you and horse like/as horse and chariot like/as chariot and to fight [obj] them in/on/with plain if: surely yes not to strengthen: strengthen from them and to hear: hear to/for voice their and to make: do so
और फिर हारी हुई सेना के समान घोड़े के लिए घोड़े और रथ के लिए रथ की सेना इकट्ठी करें; फिर हम उनसे मैदान में ही युद्ध करेंगे. निश्चित ही हम उनसे अधिक मजबूत साबित होंगे.” राजा ने उनकी सलाह स्वीकार कर ली और वैसा ही किया भी.
26 and to be to/for turn [the] year and to reckon: list Ben-hadad Ben-hadad [obj] Syria and to ascend: rise Aphek [to] to/for battle with Israel
वसन्त काल में बेन-हदद ने अरामी सेना को इकट्ठा किया और इस्राएल से युद्ध करने अफेक नगर की ओर बढ़ गया.
27 and son: descendant/people Israel to reckon: list and to sustain and to go: went to/for to encounter: toward them and to camp son: descendant/people Israel before them like/as two little flock goat and Syria to fill [obj] [the] land: country/planet
इस्राएली सैनिक भी इकट्ठे हुए, उन्होंने व्यूह रचना की और अरामियों का सामना करने के लिए आगे बढ़े. इस्राएली सेना ने उनके सामने ऐसे डेरे खड़े किए कि वे भेड़ों के दो छोटे समूहों समान दिखाई दे रहे थे; मगर अरामी सेना पूरी तरह से मैदान पर छा गई थी.
28 and to approach: approach man [the] God and to say to(wards) king Israel and to say thus to say LORD because which to say Syria God mountain: mount LORD and not God valley he/she/it and to give: give [obj] all [the] crowd [the] great: large [the] this in/on/with hand: power your and to know for I LORD
परमेश्वर के एक दूत ने आकर इस्राएल के राजा से कहा, “यह संदेश याहवेह की ओर से है ‘इसलिये कि अरामियों का यह मानना है, याहवेह सिर्फ पहाड़ियों का परमेश्वर है, मगर घाटियों-मैदानों का नहीं, मैं इस पूरी बड़ी भीड़ को तुम्हारे अधीन कर दूंगा, और तुम यह जान जाओगे कि मैं ही याहवेह हूं.’”
29 and to camp these before these seven day and to be in/on/with day [the] seventh and to present: come [the] battle and to smite son: descendant/people Israel [obj] Syria hundred thousand on foot in/on/with day one
सात दिन तक वे इसी स्थिति में एक दूसरे के आमने-सामने डटे रहे. सातवें दिन युद्ध छिड़ गया. इस्राएली सेना ने एक ही दिन में एक लाख अरामी पैदल सैनिकों को मार डाला,
30 and to flee [the] to remain Aphek [to] to(wards) [the] city and to fall: fall [the] wall upon twenty and seven thousand man [the] to remain and Ben-hadad Ben-hadad to flee and to come (in): come to(wards) [the] city chamber in/on/with chamber
बाकी अफेक नगर को भाग गए. उनमें से बाकी सत्ताईस हज़ार की मृत्यु उन पर दीवार के ढहने से हो गई. बेन-हदद भी भागा और एक भीतरी कमरे में जाकर छिप गया.
31 and to say to(wards) him servant/slave his behold please to hear: hear for king house: household Israel for king kindness they(masc.) to set: put please sackcloth in/on/with loin our and cord in/on/with head our and to come out: come to(wards) king Israel perhaps to live [obj] soul: life your
उसके सेवकों ने उससे कहा, “सुनिए, हमने सुना है कि इस्राएल वंश के राजा कृपालु राजा होते हैं. हम ऐसा करें; हम कमर में टाट लपेट लेते हैं, अपने सिर पर रस्सियां डाल लेते हैं और इस्राएल के राजा की शरण में चले जाते हैं. संभव है वह आपको प्राण दान दे दें.”
32 and to gird sackcloth in/on/with loin their and cord in/on/with head their and to come (in): come to(wards) king Israel and to say servant/slave your Ben-hadad Ben-hadad to say to live please soul: life my and to say still he alive brother: compatriot my he/she/it
तब उन्होंने अपनी कमर में टाट लपेट ली, सिर पर रस्सियां डाल लीं और जाकर इस्राएल के राजा से कहा, “आपके सेवक बेन-हदद की विनती है, ‘कृपया मुझे प्राण दान दें.’” अहाब ने उनसे पूछा, “क्या वह अब तक जीवित है? वह तो मेरा भाई है.”
33 and [the] human to divine and to hasten and to catch from him and to say brother: compatriot your Ben-hadad Ben-hadad and to say to come (in): come to take: bring him and to come out: come to(wards) him Ben-hadad Ben-hadad and to ascend: rise him upon [the] chariot
वहां बेन-हदद के मंत्री सही इशारे का इंतजार कर रहे थे. इसे ही शुभ संकेत समझकर उन्होंने तुरंत उत्तर दिया, “जी हां, जी हां, आपका ही भाई बेन-हदद.” राजा अहाब ने उन्हें आदेश दिया, “जाओ, उसे ले आओ!” तब बेन-हदद अहाब के सामने आया. अहाब ने उसे अपने रथ पर ऊपर बुलाया.
34 and to say to(wards) him [the] city which to take: take father my from with father your to return: rescue and outside to set: make to/for you in/on/with Damascus like/as as which to set: make father my in/on/with Samaria and I in/on/with covenant to send: let go you and to cut: make(covenant) to/for him covenant and to send: let go him
बेन-हदद ने अहाब को कहा, “जो नगर मेरे पिता ने आपके पिता से छीने थे, मैं उन्हें लौटा दूंगा. आप अपनी सुविधा के लिए दमेशेक में अपने व्यापार के केंद्र बना सकते हैं; जैसा मेरे पिता ने शमरिया में किया था.” अहाब ने बेन-हदद से कहा, “यदि तुम्हारी ओर से यही सुझाव है, तो मैं तुम्हें मुक्त किए देता हूं.” तब उसने बेन-हदद से संधि की और उसे मुक्त कर दिया.

याहवेह के आदेश पर भविष्यद्वक्ता मंडल के एक भविष्यद्वक्ता ने अन्य सदस्य से विनती की, “कृपा कर मुझ पर वार करो.” मगर उसने यह विनती अस्वीकार कर दी.
36 and to say to/for him because which not to hear: obey in/on/with voice LORD look! you to go: went from with me and to smite you [the] lion and to go: went from beside him and to find him [the] lion and to smite him
तब उस पहले ने दूसरे से कहा, “इसलिये कि तुमने याहवेह की आज्ञा तोड़ी है, यह देख लेना कि जैसे ही तुम यहां से बाहर जाओगे, एक शेर तुम्हें दबोच लेगा. हुआ भी यही: जैसे ही वह वहां से बाहर गया एक सिंह ने उसे दबोच लिया और मार डाला.”
37 and to find man another and to say to smite me please and to smite him [the] man to smite and to wound
तब उसे एक दूसरा व्यक्ति मिला. उससे उसने विनती की, “कृपया मुझ पर वार कीजिए.” उस व्यक्ति ने उस पर वार किया और ऐसा वार किया कि वह भविष्यद्वक्ता चोटिल हो गया.
38 and to go: went [the] prophet and to stand: stand to/for king (upon *LAB(H)*) [the] way: road and to search in/on/with bandage upon eye his
तब वह भविष्यद्वक्ता वहां से चला गया और जाकर मार्ग में राजा का इंतजार करने लगा. उसने अपना रूप बदलने के उद्देश्य से अपनी आंखों पर पट्टी बांध ली थी.
39 and to be [the] king to pass and he/she/it to cry to(wards) [the] king and to say servant/slave your to come out: come in/on/with entrails: among [the] battle and behold man to turn aside: turn aside and to come (in): bring to(wards) me man and to say to keep: guard [obj] [the] man [the] this if to reckon: missing to reckon: missing and to be soul: life your underneath: instead soul: life his or talent silver: money to weigh
जैसे ही राजा वहां से गुजरा, उसने पुकारकर राजा से कहा, “आपका सेवक युद्ध-भूमि में गया हुआ था. वहां एक सैनिक ने एक व्यक्ति को मेरे पास लाकर कहा, ‘इस व्यक्ति की रक्षा करना. यदि किसी कारण से मुझे लौटने पर यह यहां न मिले, उसके प्राण के बदले में तुम्हारा प्राण लिया जाएगा. यदि यह नहीं तो तुम्हें उसके स्थान पर मुझे पैंतीस किलो चांदी देनी होगी.’

मैं, आपका सेवक जब अपने काम में जुट गया, वह व्यक्ति वहां से जा चुका था.” इस्राएल के राजा ने उससे कहा, “तुम्हारा न्याय तुम्हारे ही कथन के अनुसार किया जाएगा. तुमने खुद अपना निर्णय सुना दिया है.”
41 and to hasten and to turn aside: remove [obj] [the] bandage (from upon *Q(k)*) eye his and to recognize [obj] him king Israel for from [the] prophet he/she/it
तब भविष्यद्वक्ता ने तुरंत अपनी आंखों पर से पट्टी हटा दी और इस्राएल का राजा तुरंत पहचान गया कि वह भविष्यद्वक्ता मंडल में से एक भविष्यद्वक्ता है.
42 and to say to(wards) him thus to say LORD because to send: let go [obj] man devoted thing my from hand: power and to be soul: life your underneath: instead soul: life his and people your underneath: instead people his
तब भविष्यद्वक्ता ने राजा से कहा, “यह संदेश याहवेह की ओर से है, ‘जिस व्यक्ति को मैंने पूर्ण विनाश के लिए अलग किया था, तुमने उसे अपने अधिकार में आने के बाद भी मुक्त कर दिया है, अब उसके प्राणों के स्थान पर तुम्हारे प्राण ले लिए जाएंगे और उसकी प्रजा के स्थान पर तुम्हारी प्रजा.’”

इस्राएल का राजा उदास और अप्रसन्न होकर शमरिया पहुंचा.
