1 Kings 2

Le jour où David allait mourir était proche; et il parla à son fils Salomon en ces termes:

Je m'en vais dans la voie de toute la terre; quant â toi, sois fort et agis en homme.

Observe les commandements du Seigneur ton Dieu, afin de marcher dans ses voies, de garder ses commandements, sa justice, ses jugements, et les préceptes qui sont écrits en la loi de Moïse; conduis-toi sagement en toutes choses, comme je te l'ai prescrit;
4 because to arise: establish LORD [obj] word his which to speak: speak upon me to/for to say if to keep: look at son: descendant/people your [obj] way: conduct their to/for to go: walk to/for face: before my in/on/with truth: faithful in/on/with all heart their and in/on/with all soul their to/for to say not to cut: lack to/for you man from upon throne Israel
Afin que le Seigneur confirme la parole qu'il a dite: Si tes fils sont attentifs à suivre leur voie, devant moi, dans la vérité et de tout leur cœur, jamais il ne manquera d'homme issu de toi pour monter sur le trône d'Israël.

Or, tu sais ce que m'a fait Joab, fils de Sarvia; tu sais comment il a traité les deux chefs de l'armée d'Israël: Abner, fils de Ner, et Amessaï, fils de Jéther. Il les a tués; le sang, réservé au combat, il l'a fait couler pendant la paix; il a versé le sang innocent sur la ceinture qui ceignait ses reins, et sur les sandales qui chaussaient ses pieds.

Et tu seras bienveillant pour les fils de Berzelli le Galaadite; ils seront de ceux qui mangeront à ta table, car c'est ainsi qu'ils ont agi envers moi quand je fuyais devant Absalon ton frère.

Tu vois avec toi Sémeï, fils de Géra, de la famille de Jémini de Bathurim; c'est lui qui m'a poursuivi de malédictions bien amères, le jour où je m'en allais au camp; à mon retour, il est venu à ma rencontre vers le Jourdain; je lui ai alors prêté serment au nom du Seigneur, et j'ai dit: Je ne te ferai point mourir par l'épée.

Tu ne l'innocenteras point, car tu es un homme sage; tu sauras comment le traiter, et tu feras descendre sa vieillesse au tombeau dans le sang. (Sheol h7585)

Et David s'endormit avec ses pères, et il fut enseveli dans la ville de David.
11 and [the] day which to reign David upon Israel forty year in/on/with Hebron to reign seven year and in/on/with Jerusalem to reign thirty and three year
Les jours du règne de David sur Israël formèrent quarante ans; il régna sept ans à Hébron et trente-trois ans à Jérusalem.
12 and Solomon to dwell upon throne David father his and to establish: establish royalty his much
Et Salomon s'assit sur le trône de David son père, et son règne était parfaitement préparé.
13 and to come (in): come Adonijah son: child Haggith to(wards) Bathsheba Bathsheba mother Solomon and to say peace to come (in): come you and to say peace
Ensuite, Adonias, fils d'Aggith, entra chez Bethsabée, mère de Salomon; il se prosterna devant elle, et elle lui dit: En entrant, nous apportes-tu la paix? Et il répondit: La paix;

J'ai à te dire un mot. Parle, reprit-elle.

Tu sais, lui dit-il, que la royauté m'appartenait, et que tout Israël avait jeté les yeux sur moi pour que je régnasse; mais la royauté a été détournée de moi, et elle a passé à mon frère, parce que telle était la volonté du Seigneur.
16 and now petition one I to ask from with you not to return: refuse [obj] face: before my and to say to(wards) him to speak: speak
Maintenant, j'ai à te faire une seule demande; ne détourne pas de moi ton visage. Et Bethsabée lui dit: Parle.
17 and to say to say please to/for Solomon [the] king for not to return: refuse [obj] face: before your and to give: give to/for me [obj] Abishag [the] Shunammites to/for woman: wife
Et il continua: Parle au roi Salomon; car il ne détournera pas de toi son visage; qu'il me donne pour femme Abisag la Sunamite.
18 and to say Bathsheba Bathsheba pleasant I to speak: speak upon you to(wards) [the] king
A quoi Bethsabée reprit: Bien; je parlerai au roi en ta faveur.
19 and to come (in): come Bathsheba Bathsheba to(wards) [the] king Solomon to/for to speak: speak to/for him upon Adonijah and to arise: rise [the] king to/for to encounter: meet her and to bow to/for her and to dwell upon throne his and to set: put throne to/for mother [the] king and to dwell to/for right his
Bethsabée alla trouver le roi Salomon, afin de lui parler en faveur d'Adonias. Le roi se leva, alla au-devant d'elle, la baisa et s'assit sur son trône; puis on plaça un trône pour la mère du roi, et elle s'assit à sa droite.

Et elle lui dit: J'ai à te faire une petite demande; ne repousse pas mon visage. Et le roi répondit: Demande, ma mère, et je ne te repousserai point.
21 and to say to give: give(marriage) [obj] Abishag [the] Shunammites to/for Adonijah brother: male-sibling your to/for woman: wife
Et elle dit: Que la Sunamite Abisag soit donnée pour femme à ton frère Adonias.
22 and to answer [the] king Solomon and to say to/for mother his and to/for what? you(f. s.) to ask [obj] Abishag [the] Shunammites to/for Adonijah and to ask to/for him [obj] [the] kingship for he/she/it brother: male-sibling my [the] great: old from me and to/for him and to/for Abiathar [the] priest and to/for Joab son: child Zeruiah
Le roi Salomon répondit, et il dit à sa mère: Pourquoi as-tu demandé Abisag pour Adonias? Demande aussi pour lui la royauté, car il est mon frère, il est plus âgé que moi, et il a pour compagnon Abiathar le prêtre, et Joab, fils de Sarvia, général en chef.
23 and to swear [the] king Solomon in/on/with LORD to/for to say thus to make: do to/for me God and thus to add for in/on/with soul: life his to speak: speak Adonijah [obj] [the] word [the] this
Et le roi jura au nom du Seigneur, disant: Que le Seigneur me punisse, et qu'il me punisse encore, si, en faisant cette demande, Adonias n'a pas parlé contre sa vie.
24 and now alive LORD which to establish: establish me (and to dwell me *Q(k)*) upon throne David father my and which to make to/for me house: home like/as as which to speak: promise for [the] day to die Adonijah
Maintenant, vive le Seigneur qui m'a préparé, qui m'a placé sur le trône de David mon père, qui a établi ma maison comme il l'avait promis! aujourd'hui même Adonias mourra.
25 and to send: depart [the] king Solomon in/on/with hand: by Benaiah son: child Jehoiada and to fall on in/on/with him and to die
Salomon confia l'exécution de ce dessein à Banaïas, fils de Joïada. Celui- ci tua Adonias, qui mourut le jour même.
26 and to/for Abiathar [the] priest to say [the] king Anathoth to go: went upon land: country your for man death you(m. s.) and in/on/with day: today [the] this not to die you for to lift: bear [obj] ark Lord YHWH/God to/for face: before David father my and for to afflict in/on/with all which to afflict father my
Et le roi dit à Abiathar le prêtre: Retourne vite à ton champ en Astaroth, car tu es, en ce jour-ci, un homme digne de mort; toutefois, je ne te ferai point périr, parce que tu as porté devant mon père l'arche de l'alliance du Seigneur, et que tu as souffert en tout ce qu'a souffert David.
27 and to drive out: drive out Solomon [obj] Abiathar from to be priest to/for LORD to/for to fill [obj] word LORD which to speak: speak upon house: household Eli in/on/with Shiloh
Et Salomon interdit le sacerdoce à Abiathar, pour que s'accomplît la parole que le Seigneur avait prononcée contre la maison d'Héli.
28 and [the] tidings to come (in): come till Joab for Joab to stretch after Adonijah and after Absalom not to stretch and to flee Joab to(wards) tent LORD and to strengthen: hold in/on/with horn [the] altar
La nouvelle en arriva jusqu'à Joab, fils de Sarvia; or, Joab avait été l'un des convives d'Adonias, et il ne s'était point rapproché de Salomon. Joab se réfugia dans le tabernacle du Seigneur, et il embrassa la corne de l'autel.
29 and to tell to/for king Solomon for to flee Joab to(wards) tent LORD and behold beside [the] altar and to send: depart Solomon [obj] Benaiah son: child Jehoiada to/for to say to go: went to fall on in/on/with him
Et l'on vint l'annoncer au roi Salomon; on lui dit: Joab s'est réfugié dans le tabernacle du Seigneur, et le voilà qui tient la corne de l'autel. Aussitôt, Salomon envoya auprès de Joab, et il lui dit: Que t'arrive-t-il, pour que tu te réfugies à l'autel? Joab répondit: J'ai eu crainte de toi, et je me suis réfugié auprès du Seigneur. Et Salomon envoya Banaïas, fils de Joïada, disant: Va, tue-le, et ensevelis-le.
30 and to come (in): come Benaiah to(wards) tent LORD and to say to(wards) him thus to say [the] king to come out: come and to say not for here to die and to return: return Benaiah [obj] [the] king word to/for to say thus to speak: speak Joab and thus to answer me
Banaïas, fils de Joïada, alla trouver Joab dans le tabernacle du Seigneur, et il lui dit: Voici ce que dit le roi: Sors; mais Joab répondit: Je ne sortirai point, c'est ici que je mourrai. Banaïas retourna chez le roi, et il lui dit: Voici ce que j'ai dit à Joab, voici ce qu'il m'a répondu.
31 and to say to/for him [the] king to make: do like/as as which to speak: speak and to fall on in/on/with him and to bury him and to turn aside: remove blood for nothing which to pour: kill Joab from upon me and from upon house: household father my
Le roi reprit: Va et fais-lui comme il a dit: Tue-le, ensevelis-le, et tu auras aujourd'hui détourné de moi et de la maison de mon père le sang que Joab a versé sans motif.
32 and to return: return LORD [obj] blood his upon head his which to fall on in/on/with two human righteous and pleasant from him and to kill them in/on/with sword and father my David not to know [obj] Abner son: child Ner ruler army Israel and [obj] Amasa son: child Jether ruler army Judah
Le Seigneur a ramené sur sa tête le sang de son iniquité, car il est allé à la rencontre de deux hommes plus justes et meilleurs que lui; il les a fait périr par le glaive, et mon père David ne savait rien du meurtre d'Abner, fils de Ner, général en chef d'Israël, ni du meurtre d'Amessaï, fils de Jéther, général en chef de Juda.
33 and to return: return blood their in/on/with head Joab and in/on/with head seed: children his to/for forever: enduring and to/for David and to/for seed: children his and to/for house: household his and to/for throne his to be peace till forever: enduring from from with LORD
Leur sang est retombé sur sa tête, et sur la tête de sa postérité à jamais. Que la paix du Seigneur soit toujours avec David, avec sa race, avec sa maison et avec son trône.
34 and to ascend: rise Benaiah son: child Jehoiada and to fall on in/on/with him and to die him and to bury in/on/with house: home his in/on/with wilderness
Et Banaïas, fils de Joïada, alla retrouver Joab; il le tua, et il l'inhuma dans sa maison près du désert.
35 and to give: put [the] king [obj] Benaiah son: child Jehoiada underneath: instead him upon [the] army and [obj] Zadok [the] priest to give: put [the] king underneath: instead Abiathar
Le roi, à sa place, donna le commandement de l'armée à Banaïas, et la royauté fut affermie dans Jérusalem. Sadoc fut premier prêtre à la place d'Abiathar.
36 and to send: depart [the] king and to call: call to to/for Shimei and to say to/for him to build to/for you house: home in/on/with Jerusalem and to dwell there and not to come out: come from there where? and where?
Et le roi appela Semeï, et il lui dit: Bâtis pour toi une maison dans Jérusalem, demeures-y, et de là tu n'iras en aucun lieu.
37 and to be in/on/with day to come out: come you and to pass [obj] torrent: valley Kidron to know to know for to die to die blood your to be in/on/with head your
Le jour où tu en sortirais, où tu passerais le torrent de Cédron, sache-le bien, tu mourrais de mort; et ton sang retomberait sur ta tête. Et le roi, ce jour-là, lui fit prêter serment.
38 and to say Shimei to/for king pleasant [the] word: speaking like/as as which to speak: speak lord my [the] king so to make: do servant/slave your and to dwell Shimei in/on/with Jerusalem day many
Ensuite, Sémeï dit au roi: La parole que tu as dite est bonne, ô roi mon maître, ainsi fera ton serviteur. Et Sémeï demeura trois ans à Jérusalem.
39 and to be from end three year and to flee two servant/slave to/for Shimei to(wards) Achish son: child Maacah king Gath and to tell to/for Shimei to/for to say behold servant/slave your in/on/with Gath
Après trois ans, deux serviteurs de Sémeï s'enfuirent chez Achis, fils de Maacha, roi de Geth. On l'apprit à Sémeï en lui disant: Voilà tes serviteurs à Geth.
40 and to arise: rise Shimei and to saddle/tie [obj] donkey his and to go: went Gath [to] to(wards) Achish to/for to seek [obj] servant/slave his and to go: went Shimei and to come (in): bring [obj] servant/slave his from Gath
Et Sémeï se leva, bâta son ânesse et, s'en alla chez Achis à Geth, pour réclamer ses deux serviteurs; puis il revint, et les ramena de Geth.
41 and to tell to/for Solomon for to go: went Shimei from Jerusalem Gath and to return: return
Or, on l'apprit à Salomon en lui disant: Sémeï est allé de Jérusalem à Geth, et il a ramené ses serviteurs.
42 and to send: depart [the] king and to call: call to to/for Shimei and to say to(wards) him not to swear you in/on/with LORD and to testify in/on/with you to/for to say in/on/with day to come out: come you and to go: went where? and where? to know to know for to die to die and to say to(wards) me pleasant [the] word: speaking to hear: obey
Aussitôt, le roi envoya querir Sémeï, et il lui dit: Ne t'ai-je point fait prêter serment par le Seigneur, ne t'ai-je pas attesté, disant: Le jour où tu sortiras de Jérusalem, où tu iras à droite ou à gauche, sache-le bien, tu mourras?
43 and why? not to keep: obey [obj] oath LORD and [obj] [the] commandment which to command upon you
Pourquoi n'as-tu point gardé le serment du Seigneur, et le commandement que je t'avais donné?
44 and to say [the] king to(wards) Shimei you(m. s.) to know [obj] all [the] distress: harm which to know heart your which to make: do to/for David father my and to return: return LORD [obj] distress: harm your in/on/with head your
Et le roi ajouta: Tu connais, ton cœur sait tout le mal que tu as fait à David mon père; le Seigneur a fait retomber ta méchanceté sur ta tête.
45 and [the] king Solomon to bless and throne David to be to establish: establish to/for face: before LORD till forever: enduring
Cependant, Salomon est béni, et le trône de David est affermi devant le Seigneur à jamais.
46 and to command [the] king [obj] Benaiah son: child Jehoiada and to come out: come and to fall on in/on/with him and to die and [the] kingdom to establish: establish in/on/with hand: power Solomon
Et le roi donna ses ordres à Banaïas, fils de Joïada, qui sortit avec Sémeï et le tua. Le roi Salomon était doué d'une grande intelligence et d'une grande sagesse.
