1 Corinthians 13

我假令人間と天使との言語を語るとも、愛なければ鳴る鐘、響く鐃鈸の如くなりたるのみ。

我假令預言する事を得て、一切の奥義一切の學科を知り、又假令山を移す程なる一切の信仰を有すとも、愛なければ何物にも非ず。

我假令わが財産を悉く（貧者の食物として）分與へ、又我身を焼かるる為に付すとも、愛なければ聊も我に益ある事なし。

愛は堪忍し、情あり、愛は妬まず、自慢せず、驕らず、

非禮を為さず、己の為に謀らず、怒らず、惡を負はせず、
6 no to rejoice upon/to/against the/this/who unrighteousness to rejoice with then the/this/who truth
不義を喜ばずして眞實を喜び、

何事をも包み、何事をも信じ、何事をも希望し、何事をも怺ふるなり。

預言は廃り、言語は止み、知識は亡ぶべきも、愛は何時も絶ゆる事なし。

蓋我等の知る事は不完全に、預言する事は不完全なれども、

完全なるところ來らば不完全なるところは廃らん。

我が小兒たりし時は、語る事も小兒の如く、判断する事も小兒の如く、考ふる事も小兒の如くなりしかど、大人となりては小兒の事を棄てたり。

今存するものは信、望、愛此三なれども、就中最大いなるものは愛なり。
