Und sie gewannen die Oberhand über sie, so daß die Hagariter samt allen, die mit ihnen verbündet waren, in ihre Hand gegeben wurden; denn als sie während des Kampfes zu Gott um Hilfe riefen, ließ er sich von ihnen erbitten, weil sie ihr Vertrauen auf ihn gesetzt hatten.

Sie führten dann das Vieh jener als Beute weg: 50000 Kamele, 250000 Stück Kleinvieh und 2000 Esel; dazu 100000 Menschen als Sklaven.

Denn viele waren gefallen, vom Schwert erschlagen, weil der Krieg von Gott verhängt war. Sie wohnten dann an ihrer Statt bis zur Wegführung in die Gefangenschaft.
