1 Chronicles 15

1 and to make to/for him house: home in/on/with city David and to establish: prepare place to/for ark [the] God and to stretch to/for him tent

וַיַּֽעַשׂ־לֹ֥ו בָתִּ֖ים בְּעִ֣יר דָּוִ֑יד וַיָּ֤כֶן מָקֹום֙ לֽ͏ַאֲרֹ֣ון הֽ͏ָאֱלֹהִ֔ים וַיֶּט־לֹ֖ו אֹֽהֶל׃

2 then to say David not to/for to lift: bear [obj] ark [the] God that if: except if: except [the] Levi for in/on/with them to choose LORD to/for to lift: bear [obj] ark LORD and to/for to minister him till forever: enduring

אָ֚ז אָמַ֣ר דָּוִ֔יד לֹ֤א לָשֵׂאת֙ אֶת־אֲרֹ֣ון הֽ͏ָאֱלֹהִ֔ים כִּ֖י אִם־הַלְוִיִּ֑ם כִּי־בָ֣ם ׀ בָּחַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה לָשֵׂ֞את אֶת־אֲרֹ֧ון יְהוָ֛ה וּֽלְשָׁרְתֹ֖ו עַד־עֹולָֽם׃ ס

3 and to gather David [obj] all Israel to(wards) Jerusalem to/for to ascend: establish [obj] ark LORD to(wards) place his which to establish: prepare to/for him

וַיַּקְהֵ֥ל דָּוִ֛יד אֶת־כָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל אֶל־יְרֽוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם לְהַעֲלֹות֙ אֶת־אֲרֹ֣ון יְהוָ֔ה אֶל־מְקֹומֹ֖ו אֲשֶׁר־הֵכִ֥ין לֹֽו׃

4 and to gather David [obj] son: descendant/people Aaron and [obj] [the] Levi

וַיֶּאֱסֹ֥ף דָּוִ֛יד אֶת־בְּנֵ֥י אֽ͏ַהֲרֹ֖ן וְאֶת־הַלְוִיִּֽם׃

5 to/for son: descendant/people Kohath Uriel [the] ruler and brother: male-relative his hundred and twenty

לִבְנֵ֖י קְהָ֑ת אוּרִיאֵ֣ל הַשָּׂ֔ר וְאֶחָ֖יו מֵאָ֥ה וְעֶשְׂרִֽים׃ ס

6 to/for son: descendant/people Merari Asaiah [the] ruler and brother: male-relative his hundred and twenty

לִבְנֵ֖י מְרָרִ֑י עֲשָׂיָ֣ה הַשָּׂ֔ר וְאֶחָ֖יו מָאתַ֥יִם וְעֶשְׂרִֽים׃ ס

7 to/for son: descendant/people Gershon Joel [the] ruler and brother: male-relative his hundred and thirty

לִבְנֵ֖י גֵּרְשֹׁ֑ום יֹואֵ֣ל הַשָּׂ֔ר וְאֶחָ֖יו מֵאָ֥ה וּשְׁלֹשִֽׁים׃ ס

8 to/for son: descendant/people Elizaphan Shemaiah [the] ruler and brother: male-relative his hundred

לִבְנֵ֖י אֱלִֽיצָפָ֑ן שְׁמַֽעְיָ֥ה הַשָּׂ֖ר וְאֶחָ֥יו מָאתָֽיִם׃ ס

9 to/for son: descendant/people Hebron Eliel [the] ruler and brother: male-relative his eighty

לִבְנֵ֖י חֶבְרֹ֑ון אֱלִיאֵ֥ל הַשָּׂ֖ר וְאֶחָ֥יו שְׁמֹונִֽים׃ ס

10 to/for son: descendant/people Uzziel Amminadab [the] ruler and brother: male-relative his hundred and two ten

לִבְנֵ֖י עֻזִּיאֵ֑ל עַמִּינָדָ֣ב הַשָּׂ֔ר וְאֶחָ֕יו מֵאָ֖ה וּשְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָֽׂר׃ ס

11 and to call: call to David to/for Zadok and to/for Abiathar [the] priest and to/for Levi to/for Uriel Asaiah and Joel Shemaiah and Eliel and Amminadab

וַיִּקְרָ֣א דָוִ֔יד לְצָדֹ֥וק וּלְאֶבְיָתָ֖ר הַכֹּֽהֲנִ֑ים וְלַלְוִיִּ֗ם לְאֽוּרִיאֵ֤ל עֲשָׂיָה֙ וְיֹואֵ֣ל שְׁמַֽעְיָ֔ה וֶאֱלִיאֵ֖ל וְעַמִּינָדָֽב׃

12 and to say to/for them you(m. p.) head: leader [the] father to/for Levi to consecrate: consecate you(m. p.) and brother: male-relative your and to ascend: establish [obj] ark LORD God Israel to(wards) to establish: prepare to/for him

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר לָהֶ֔ם אַתֶּ֛ם רָאשֵׁ֥י הָאָבֹ֖ות לַלְוִיִּ֑ם הִֽתְקַדְּשׁוּ֙ אַתֶּ֣ם וַאֲחֵיכֶ֔ם וְהַֽעֲלִיתֶ֗ם אֵ֣ת אֲרֹ֤ון יְהוָה֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֶל־הֲכִינֹ֖ותִי לֹֽו׃

13 for to/for what? in/on/with first not you(m. p.) to break through LORD God our in/on/with us for not to seek him like/as justice: judgement

כִּ֛י לְמַבָּרִ֥אשֹׁונָ֖ה לֹ֣א אַתֶּ֑ם פָּרַ֨ץ יְהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהֵ֙ינוּ֙ בָּ֔נוּ כִּי־לֹ֥א דְרַשְׁנֻ֖הוּ כַּמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃

14 and to consecrate: consecate [the] priest and [the] Levi to/for to ascend: establish [obj] ark LORD God Israel

וַיִּֽתְקַדְּשׁ֔וּ הַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים וְהַלְוִיִּ֑ם לְהַעֲלֹ֕ות אֶת־אֲרֹ֥ון יְהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

15 and to lift: bear son: descendant/people [the] Levi [obj] ark [the] God like/as as which to command Moses like/as word LORD in/on/with shoulder their in/on/with yoke upon them

וַיִּשְׂא֣וּ בְנֵֽי־הַלְוִיִּ֗ם אֵ֚ת אֲרֹ֣ון הָֽאֱלֹהִ֔ים כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה מֹשֶׁ֖ה כִּדְבַ֣ר יְהוָ֑ה בִּכְתֵפָ֥ם בַּמֹּטֹ֖ות עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ פ

16 and to say David to/for ruler [the] Levi to/for to stand: appoint [obj] brother: male-relative their [the] to sing in/on/with article/utensil song harp and lyre and cymbal to hear: proclaim to/for to exalt in/on/with voice: sound to/for joy

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר דָּוִיד֮ לְשָׂרֵ֣י הַלְוִיִּם֒ לְהַֽעֲמִ֗יד אֶת־אֲחֵיהֶם֙ הַמְשֹׁ֣רְרִ֔ים בִּכְלֵי־שִׁ֛יר נְבָלִ֥ים וְכִנֹּרֹ֖ות וּמְצִלְתָּ֑יִם מַשְׁמִיעִ֥ים לְהָרִֽים־בְּקֹ֖ול לְשִׂמְחָֽה׃ פ

17 and to stand: appoint [the] Levi [obj] Heman son: child Joel and from brother: male-relative his Asaph son: child Berechiah and from son: child Merari brother: male-relative their Ethan son: child Kushaiah

וַיַּעֲמִ֣ידוּ הַלְוִיִּ֗ם אֵ֚ת הֵימָ֣ן בֶּן־יֹואֵ֔ל וּמִ֨ן־אֶחָ֔יו אָסָ֖ף בֶּן־בֶּֽרֶכְיָ֑הוּ ס וּמִן־בְּנֵ֤י מְרָרִי֙ אֲחֵיהֶ֔ם אֵיתָ֖ן בֶּן־קֽוּשָׁיָֽהוּ׃

18 and with them brother: male-relative their [the] second Zechariah Ben and Jaaziel and Shemiramoth and Jehiel and Unni Eliab and Benaiah and Maaseiah and Mattithiah and Eliphelehu and Mikneiah and Obed-edom Obed-edom and Jeiel [the] gatekeeper

וְעִמָּהֶ֖ם אֲחֵיהֶ֣ם הַמִּשְׁנִ֑ים זְכַרְיָ֡הוּ בֵּ֡ן וְיַֽעֲזִיאֵ֡ל וּשְׁמֽ͏ִירָמֹ֡ות וִיחִיאֵ֣ל ׀ וְעֻנִּ֡י אֱלִיאָ֡ב וּבְנָיָ֡הוּ וּמַֽעֲשֵׂיָ֡הוּ וּמַתִּתְיָהוּ֩ וֶאֱלִ֨יפְלֵ֜הוּ וּמִקְנֵיָ֨הוּ וְעֹבֵ֥ד אֱדֹ֛ם וִֽיעִיאֵ֖ל הַשֹּׁעֲרִֽים׃

19 and [the] to sing Heman Asaph and Ethan in/on/with cymbal bronze to/for to hear: proclaim

וְהַמְשֹׁ֣רְרִ֔ים הֵימָ֥ן אָסָ֖ף וְאֵיתָ֑ן בִּמְצִלְתַּ֥יִם נְחֹ֖שֶׁת לְהַשְׁמִֽיעַ׃

20 and Zechariah and Aziel and Shemiramoth and Jehiel and Unni and Eliab and Maaseiah and Benaiah in/on/with harp upon Alamoth

וּזְכַרְיָ֨ה וַעֲזִיאֵ֜ל וּשְׁמִֽירָמֹ֤ות וִֽיחִיאֵל֙ וְעֻנִּ֣י וֽ͏ֶאֱלִיאָ֔ב וּמַעֲשֵׂיָ֖הוּ וּבְנָיָ֑הוּ בִּנְבָלִ֖ים עַל־עֲלָמֹֽות׃

21 and Mattithiah and Eliphelehu and Mikneiah and Obed-edom Obed-edom and Jeiel and Azaziah in/on/with lyre upon [the] Sheminith to/for to conduct

וּמַתִּתְיָ֣הוּ וֶאֱלִֽיפְלֵ֗הוּ וּמִקְנֵיָ֙הוּ֙ וְעֹבֵ֣ד אֱדֹ֔ם וִֽיעִיאֵ֖ל וַעֲזַזְיָ֑הוּ בְּכִנֹּרֹ֥ות עַל־הַשְּׁמִינִ֖ית לְנַצֵּֽחַ׃

22 and Chenaniah ruler [the] Levi in/on/with burden to discipline in/on/with burden for to understand he/she/it

וּכְנַנְיָ֥הוּ שַֽׂר־הַלְוִיִּ֖ם בְּמַשָּׂ֑א יָסֹר֙ בַּמַּשָּׂ֔א כִּ֥י מֵבִ֖ין הֽוּא׃

23 and Berechiah and Elkanah gatekeeper to/for ark

וּבֶֽרֶכְיָה֙ וְאֶלְקָנָ֔ה שֹׁעֲרִ֖ים לָאָרֹֽון׃

24 and Shebaniah and Joshaphat and Nethanel and Amasai and Zechariah and Benaiah and Eliezer [the] priest (to blow *Q(k)*) in/on/with trumpet to/for face: before ark [the] God and Obed-edom Obed-edom and Jehiah gatekeeper to/for ark

וּשְׁבַנְיָ֡הוּ וְיֹֽושָׁפָ֡ט וּנְתַנְאֵ֡ל וַעֲמָשַׂ֡י וּ֠זְכַרְיָהוּ וּבְנָיָ֤הוּ וֽ͏ֶאֱלִיעֶ֙זֶר֙ הַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים מַחֲצֹצְרִים (מַחְצְרִים֙) בַּחֲצֹ֣צְרֹ֔ות לִפְנֵ֖י אֲרֹ֣ון הֽ͏ָאֱלֹהִ֑ים וְעֹבֵ֤ד אֱדֹם֙ וִֽיחִיָּ֔ה שֹׁעֲרִ֖ים לָאָרֹֽון׃

25 and to be David and old: elder Israel and ruler [the] thousand [the] to go: went to/for to ascend: establish [obj] ark covenant LORD from house: home Obed-edom Obed-edom in/on/with joy

וַיְהִ֥י דָוִ֛יד וְזִקְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל וְשָׂרֵ֣י הָאֲלָפִ֑ים הַהֹֽלְכִ֗ים לְֽהַעֲלֹ֞ות אֶת־אֲרֹ֧ון בְּרִית־יְהוָ֛ה מִן־בֵּ֥ית עֹבֵֽד־אֱדֹ֖ם בְּשִׂמְחָֽה׃ ס

26 and to be in/on/with to help [the] God [obj] [the] Levi to lift: bear ark covenant LORD and to sacrifice seven bullock and seven ram

וֽ͏ַיְהִי֙ בֶּעְזֹ֣ר הֽ͏ָאֱלֹהִ֔ים אֶ֨ת־הַלְוִיִּ֔ם נֹשְׂאֵ֖י אֲרֹ֣ון בְּרִית־יְהוָ֑ה וַיִּזְבְּח֥וּ שִׁבְעָֽה־פָרִ֖ים וְשִׁבְעָ֥ה אֵילִֽים׃

27 and David be clothed in/on/with robe fine linen and all [the] Levi [the] to lift: bear [obj] [the] ark and [the] to sing and Chenaniah [the] ruler [the] burden [the] to sing and upon David ephod linen

וְדָוִ֞יד מְכֻרְבָּ֣ל ׀ בִּמְעִ֣יל בּ֗וּץ וְכָל־הַלְוִיִּם֙ הַנֹּשְׂאִ֣ים אֶת־הָאָרֹ֔ון וְהַמְשֹׁ֣רְרִ֔ים וּכְנַנְיָ֛ה הַשַּׂ֥ר הַמַּשָּׂ֖א הַמְשֹֽׁרְרִ֑ים וְעַל־דָּוִ֖יד אֵפֹ֥וד בָּֽד׃

28 and all Israel to ascend: establish [obj] ark covenant LORD in/on/with shout and in/on/with voice: sound trumpet and in/on/with trumpet and in/on/with cymbal to hear: proclaim in/on/with harp and lyre

וְכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל מַעֲלִים֙ אֶת־אֲרֹ֣ון בְּרִית־יְהוָ֔ה בִּתְרוּעָה֙ וּבְקֹ֣ול שֹׁופָ֔ר וּבַחֲצֹצְרֹ֖ות וּבִמְצִלְתָּ֑יִם מַשְׁמִעִ֕ים בִּנְבָלִ֖ים וְכִנֹּרֹֽות׃

29 and to be ark covenant LORD to come (in): come till city David and Michal daughter Saul to look about/through/for [the] window and to see: see [obj] [the] king David to skip about and to laugh and to despise to/for him in/on/with heart her

וַיְהִ֗י אֲרֹון֙ בְּרִ֣ית יְהוָ֔ה בָּ֖א עַד־עִ֣יר דָּוִ֑יד וּמִיכַ֨ל בַּת־שָׁא֜וּל נִשְׁקְפָ֣ה ׀ בְּעַ֣ד הַחַלֹּ֗ון וַתֵּ֨רֶא אֶת־הַמֶּ֤לֶךְ דָּוִיד֙ מְרַקֵּ֣ד וּמְשַׂחֵ֔ק וַתִּ֥בֶז לֹ֖ו בְּלִבָּֽהּ׃ פ
