Zephaniah 3
1 Woe to! [the] filthy [one] and [the] defiled [one] the city which oppresses.
Hélas! elle est salie et souillée, la ville étourdie comme une colombe!
2 Not it has listened to a voice not it has accepted correction in Yahweh not it has trusted to God its not it has drawn near.
Elle ne veut écouter aucune voix, accepter aucune leçon; elle n’a pas confiance en l’Eternel, elle ne s’approche pas de son Dieu.
3 Officials its in midst its [are] lions roaring judges its [are] wolves of [the] evening [which] not they gnaw to the morning.
Ses grands, dans son enceinte, sont des lions rugissants, ses juges des loups nocturnes qui n’ont rien à déchiqueter au matin.
4 Prophets its [are] insolent men of treacheri priests its they profane [the] sanctuary they do violence to [the] law.
Ses prophètes sont des aventuriers, des gens de mauvaise foi; ses prêtres profanent les choses saintes, font violence à la loi.
5 Yahweh [is] righteous in midst its not he does injustice in the morning in the morning judgment his he gives to the light not he fails and not [is] knowing an unrighteous person shame.
Cependant l’Eternel est juste au milieu d’elle, il ne commet pas d’iniquité; chaque matin, il fait éclater au grand jour sa droiture, sans y manquer jamais. Mais le malfaiteur ne connaît pas la honte.
6 I have cut off nations they are desolate corners their I have made desolate streets their because not [one who] passes by they have been laid waste cities their because not anyone from not inhabitant.
J’Ai anéanti des nations, leurs tours fortifiées sont en ruines; j’ai dévasté leurs campagnes, qui ne voient plus de passants, leurs villes sont ravagées, abandonnées de tous, dépeuplées.
7 I said surely you will fear me you will accept correction and not it will be cut off dwelling its all that I have visited on it nevertheless they rose early they corrupted all practices their.
Je disais: "Si seulement tu me craignais et acceptais une leçon!" Ainsi cette résidence échapperait à la destruction, à toutes les menaces dirigées contre elle. Mais non! Ils s’empressent de commettre toutes les mauvaises actions.
8 Therefore wait for me [the] utterance of Yahweh for [the] day to arise I for booty for judgment my [is] to gather nations to assemble I kingdoms to pour out on them indignation my all [the] burning of anger my for in [the] fire of jealousy my it will be consumed all the earth.
Eh bien! Comptez sur moi, dit l’Eternel, comptez sur le jour où je me lèverai pour saccager! Aussi bien c’est l’arrêt de ma volonté de réunir les peuples, de convoquer les royaumes, afin de déverser sur eux mon courroux, tout le feu de ma colère: oui, par le feu de mon indignation toute la terre sera dévorée.
9 For then I will restore to peoples a lip purified to call all of them on [the] name of Yahweh to serve him a shoulder one.
Mais alors aussi je gratifierai les peuples d’un idiome épuré, pour que tous ils invoquent le nom de l’Eternel et l’adorent d’un cœur unanime.
10 From [the] other side of [the] rivers of Cush worshippers my [the] daughter of (scattered [ones] my *L(abh)*) they will bring! offering my.
D’Au-delà des fleuves de Couch, mes adorateurs, mes fidèles dispersés m’amèneront des offrandes.
11 On the day that not you will be ashamed from all practices your which you have transgressed against me for then - I will remove from midst your [the] exultant [ones] of pride your and not you will repeat to be haughty again on [the] mountain of holiness my.
En ce jour, tu n’auras plus à rougir des actes qui t’ont rendue fautive à mon égard, car j’éloignerai du milieu de toi tes exaltés d’orgueil, tu ne continueras plus à porter haut le front sur ma sainte montagne.
12 And I will leave in midst your a people afflicted and poor and they will take refuge in [the] name of Yahweh.
Je ne laisserai subsister dans ton sein que des gens humbles et modestes, qui chercheront un abri dans le nom de l’Eternel.
13 [the] remnant of Israel not they will do injustice and not they will speak falsehood and not it will be found in mouth their a tongue of deceitfulness for they they will graze and they will lie down and there not [will be one who] disturbs [them].
Les survivants d’Israël rie commettront plus d’injustice, ne diront pas de mensonge; on ne surprendra dans leur bouche aucun langage trompeur; mais ils pâtureront, ils prendront leur repos, sans personne pour les troubler.
14 Shout for joy O daughter of Zion shout O Israel rejoice and exult with all [the] heart O daughter of Jerusalem.
Entonne des chants, fille de Sion, pousse des cris de joie, ô Israël! Réjouis-toi et exulte de tout cœur, fille de Jérusalem!
15 He has removed Yahweh judgments your he has cleared away enemy your [the] king of Israel - Yahweh [is] in midst your not (you will fear *L(V)*) evil again.
L’Eternel a rapporté les sentences qui te condamnaient, il a expulsé tes ennemis; le roi d’Israël, l’Eternel, est au milieu de toi: tu n’auras plus de malheur à redouter!
16 On the day that it will be said to Jerusalem may not you be afraid O Zion may not they drop hands your.
En ce jour on dira à Jérusalem: "Sois sans crainte! Sion, ne laisse pas défaillir tes bras!"
17 Yahweh God your [is] in midst your a warrior [who] he will give victory he will rejoice on you with joy he will be silent in love his he will be glad on you with a shout of joy.
L’Eternel, ton Dieu, est au milieu de toi, comme un héros qui prête main forte. II éprouvera une vive joie à ton sujet; dans son amour, il fera le silence sur tes fautes, se réjouira de toi avec transport.
18 [those] grieved From an appointed feast I will gather from you they were tribute on it reproach.
Ceux qui souffraient d’être éloignés des solennités, je les recueille comme faisant corps avec toi; assez longtemps l’opprobre fut leur partage.
19 Here I [am] about to deal with all [those who] afflicted you at the time that and I will save the lame [person] and the outcast [person] I will gather and I will make them praise and a name [was] in all the earth shame their.
En ce temps j’accablerai tous tes oppresseurs, je porterai secours aux brebis qui boitent, je rassemblerai celles qui sont pourchassées, et j’établirai leur gloire et leur renommée dans tous les pays qui ont connu leur honte.
20 At the time that I will bring you and at the time to gather I you for I will make you a name and praise among all [the] peoples of the earth when turn back I captiviti your to eyes your he says Yahweh.
En ce temps, je vous ramènerai, en ce temps je vous rassemblerai, car je veux faire éclater votre renommée et votre gloire parmi toutes les nations de la terre, en ramenant vos captifs, sous vos propres yeux, dit l’Eternel.
