Zechariah 8
1 And it came [the] word of Yahweh of hosts saying.
Entonces el Señor Todopoderoso me envió otro mensaje.
2 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts I am jealous for Zion jealousy great and rage great I am jealous for it.
Esto es lo que dice el Señor Todopoderoso: Soy celoso y protector del pueblo de Sión. Soy apasionado por ellos en gran manera.
3 Thus he says Yahweh I have returned to Zion and I will dwell in [the] midst of Jerusalem and it will be called Jerusalem [the] city of faithfulness and [the] mountain of Yahweh of hosts [the] mountain of holiness.
Esto es lo que dice el Señor: Yo le regresado a Sión, y viviré en Jerusalén. Entonces a Jerusalén se le llamará la “Ciudad Fiel”, y a la montaña del Señor Todopoderoso se le llamará el “Santo Monte”.
4 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts again they will sit old [men] and old [women] in [the] open places of Jerusalem and each staff his [will be] in hand his from abundance of days.
Esto es lo que dice el Señor: Los ancianos podrán sentarse nuevamente en las calles de Jerusalén, cada uno con sus bastones que usan por su edad.
5 And [the] open places of the city they will be filled boys and girls playing in open places its.
Las calles estarán llenas de niños y niñas jugando felices.
6 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts if it will be difficult in [the] eyes of [the] remnant of the people this in the days those also in view my will it be difficult? [the] utterance of Yahweh of hosts.
Esto es lo que dice el Señor Todopoderoso: Ahora parece demasiado bueno para ser cierto para ustedes, mi pueblo remanente de estos días. ¿Pero acaso es imposible para mi? pregunta e Señor Todopoderoso.
7 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts here I [am] about to save people my from [the] land of [the] east and from [the] land of [the] setting of the sun.
Esto es lo que dice el Señor Todopoderoso: Yo salvaré a mi pueblo de las naciones del este y del oeste.
8 And I will bring them and they will dwell in [the] midst of Jerusalem and they will become for me a people and I I will become for them God in faithfulness and in righteousness.
Los traeré de regreso y vivirán en Jerusalén, y serán mi pueblo y yo seré y Dios fiel y verdadero.
9 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts let them be strong hands your O those [who] hear in the days these the words these from [the] mouth of the prophets who on [the] day [when] it was founded [the] house of Yahweh of hosts the temple to be rebuilt.
Esto es lo que dice el Señor Todopoderoso: Sean fuertes para que el Templo sea terminado. Todos los que hoy están aquí, están oyendo las mismas palabras de los profetas que estuvieron presentes en el día que se fundó y se estableció el Templo del Señor Todopoderoso.
10 For before the days those [the] wage[s] of person not it happened and [the] wage[s] of the animal[s] [was] not it and [belonged] to the [one who] went out and to the [one who] came not peace from the opponent so I may send every person each on neighbor his.
Antes de ese tiempo no había suficiente comida para la gente o los animales. Nadie podía vivir con normalidad porque no estaban seguros de sus enemigos, y yo puse a todos los unos contra otros.
11 And now not like the days former I [will be] to [the] remnant of the people this [the] utterance of Yahweh of hosts.
Pero ahora no trataré más a mi remanente como los traté antes, declara el Señor Todopoderoso.
12 That [the] seed of peace the vine it will give fruit its and the land it will give produce its and the heavens they will give dew their and I will give as an inheritance [the] remnant of the people this all these [things].
Ellos segarán en paz. La vid producirá sus uvas; el suelo dará cosecha y los cielos enviarán el agua sobre ellos. Me aseguraré de que esto suceda con el remanente de este pueblo.
13 And it will be just as you were a curse among the nations O house of Judah and [the] house of Israel so I will save you and you will be a blessing may not you be afraid let them be strong hands your.
Al pueblo de Judá e Israel: Así como fueron considerados como una maldición entre las naciones, yo los salvaré y se convertirán en una bendición. ¡No tengan miedo! ¡Sean fuertes!
14 For thus he says Yahweh of hosts just as I planned to do harm to you when provoked to anger ancestors your me he says Yahweh of hosts and not I relented.
Porque esto es lo que dice el Señor Todopoderoso: Yo decidí traer desastre sobre ustedes cuando sus antiguos padres provocaron mi ira y no cambié mi parecer.
15 So I have returned I have planned in the days these to do good to Jerusalem and [the] house of Judah may not you be afraid.
Pero ahora lo he decidido, y hare bien a Jerusalén y al pueblo de Judá. ¡No tengan miedo!
16 These [are] the things which you will do speak truth each with neighbor his faithfulness and justice of peace judge in gates your.
Esto es lo que deben hacer: Díganse la verdad los unos a los otros. En sus cortes juzguen honestamente y con la verdad, para lograr la paz.
17 And each - [the] harm of neighbor his may not you plan in heart your and an oath of falsehood may not you love for all these [are things] which I hate [the] utterance of Yahweh.
No hagan planes sobre cómo hacer el mal contra otros. Dejen de amar el engaño. Yo lo aborrezco, declara el Señor.
18 And it came [the] word of Yahweh of hosts to me saying.
El Señor Todopoderoso me dio otro mensaje.
19 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] fast of the fourth [month] and [the] fast of the fifth [month] and [the] fast of the seventh [month] and [the] fast of the tenth [month] it will become for [the] house of Judah joy and gladness and appointed feasts good and truth and peace love.
Esto es lo que dice el Señor Todopoderoso: Los ayunos que hacen el cuarto, quinto, séptimo y décimo mes serán tiempos de alegría y regocijo para el pueblo de Judá. Y habrá fiestas de celebración. Pero amen la verdad y la paz.
20 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts yet this: they will come peoples and [the] inhabitants of cities many.
Esto es lo que dice el Señor Todopoderoso: Las gentes vendrán a Jerusalén de muchas naciones y cuidades,
21 And they will go [the] inhabitants of one [city] to one [city] saying let us go steadfastly to entreat [the] face of Yahweh and to seek Yahweh of hosts I will go also I.
e irán de una ciudad a otra diciendo: “Permítannos buscar al Señor y pedir la bendición del Señor Todopoderoso. ¡Yo mismo iré!”
22 And they will come peoples many and nations mighty to seek Yahweh of hosts in Jerusalem and to entreat [the] face of Yahweh.
Y mucha gente y naciones poderosas vendrán a Jerusalén para pedir la bendición del Señor Todopoderoso y buscar al Señor.
23 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts in the days those that they will take hold ten people from all [the] tongues of the nations and they will take hold on [the] skirt of a person Jewish saying we want to go with you for we have heard God [is] with you.
Esto es lo que dice el Señor Todopoderoso: En ese tiempo diez hombres de diferentes naciones e idiomas sujetarán el dobladillo de la capa de un hombre judío y rogarán: “Por favor, llévanos contigo, porque hemos escuchado que Dios está contigo”.
