Zechariah 8
1 And it came [the] word of Yahweh of hosts saying.
Og Herrens, hærskarenes Guds ord kom, og det lød så:
2 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts I am jealous for Zion jealousy great and rage great I am jealous for it.
Så sier Herren, hærskarenes Gud: Jeg er såre nidkjær for Sion, ja, med stor harme er jeg nidkjær for det.
3 Thus he says Yahweh I have returned to Zion and I will dwell in [the] midst of Jerusalem and it will be called Jerusalem [the] city of faithfulness and [the] mountain of Yahweh of hosts [the] mountain of holiness.
Så sier Herren: Jeg vender tilbake til Sion og vil bo i Jerusalem, og Jerusalem skal kalles den trofaste stad, og Herrens, hærskarenes Guds berg det hellige berg.
4 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts again they will sit old [men] and old [women] in [the] open places of Jerusalem and each staff his [will be] in hand his from abundance of days.
Så sier Herren, hærskarenes Gud: Ennu en gang skal gamle menn og kvinner sitte på torvene i Jerusalem, hver med sin stav i hånden for sin høie alders skyld,
5 And [the] open places of the city they will be filled boys and girls playing in open places its.
og torvene i byen skal være fulle av gutter og piker, som leker på torvene der.
6 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts if it will be difficult in [the] eyes of [the] remnant of the people this in the days those also in view my will it be difficult? [the] utterance of Yahweh of hosts.
Så sier Herren, hærskarenes Gud: Om dette kan være umulig i deres øine som er blitt igjen av dette folk i de dager, mon det da også skulde være umulig i mine øine? sier Herren, hærskarenes Gud.
7 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts here I [am] about to save people my from [the] land of [the] east and from [the] land of [the] setting of the sun.
Så sier Herren, hærskarenes Gud: Se, jeg frelser mitt folk fra de land der solen går op, og fra de land der den går ned,
8 And I will bring them and they will dwell in [the] midst of Jerusalem and they will become for me a people and I I will become for them God in faithfulness and in righteousness.
og jeg lar dem komme hit, og de skal bo i Jerusalem, og de skal være mitt folk, og jeg vil være deres Gud i sannhet og rettferdighet.
9 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts let them be strong hands your O those [who] hear in the days these the words these from [the] mouth of the prophets who on [the] day [when] it was founded [the] house of Yahweh of hosts the temple to be rebuilt.
Så sier Herren, hærskarenes Gud: La eders hender være sterke, I som i denne tid hører disse ord av de profeters munn som talte på den dag da grunnen blev lagt til Herrens, hærskarenes Guds hus, templet som skulde bygges!
10 For before the days those [the] wage[s] of person not it happened and [the] wage[s] of the animal[s] [was] not it and [belonged] to the [one who] went out and to the [one who] came not peace from the opponent so I may send every person each on neighbor his.
For før den tid kom det intet ut hverken av menneskers eller dyrs arbeid; og ingen hadde fred for fienden, enten han drog ut eller han drog inn; for jeg slapp alle mennesker løs mot hverandre.
11 And now not like the days former I [will be] to [the] remnant of the people this [the] utterance of Yahweh of hosts.
Men nu vil jeg ikke være som i tidligere dager mot dem som er blitt igjen av dette folk, sier Herren, hærskarenes Gud;
12 That [the] seed of peace the vine it will give fruit its and the land it will give produce its and the heavens they will give dew their and I will give as an inheritance [the] remnant of the people this all these [things].
nu skal sæden være fredet: Vintreet skal gi sin frukt, jorden skal gi sin grøde, og himmelen skal gi sin dugg, og jeg vil la dem som er blitt igjen av dette folk, få alt dette til eie.
13 And it will be just as you were a curse among the nations O house of Judah and [the] house of Israel so I will save you and you will be a blessing may not you be afraid let them be strong hands your.
Og det skal skje at likesom I, Judas hus og Israels hus, har vært en forbannelse blandt hedningene, således vil jeg nu frelse eder, og I skal bli en velsignelse; frykt ikke! La eders hender være sterke!
14 For thus he says Yahweh of hosts just as I planned to do harm to you when provoked to anger ancestors your me he says Yahweh of hosts and not I relented.
For så sier Herren, hærskarenes Gud: Likesom jeg satte mig fore å gjøre eder ondt da eders fedre vakte min vrede, sier Herren, hærskarenes Gud, og jeg ikke angret det,
15 So I have returned I have planned in the days these to do good to Jerusalem and [the] house of Judah may not you be afraid.
således har jeg i disse dager satt mig fore å gjøre vel mot Jerusalem og Judas hus; frykt ikke!
16 These [are] the things which you will do speak truth each with neighbor his faithfulness and justice of peace judge in gates your.
Dette er det I skal gjøre: Tal sannhet med hverandre, døm på tinge rettferdige dommer og dommer som skaper fred,
17 And each - [the] harm of neighbor his may not you plan in heart your and an oath of falsehood may not you love for all these [are things] which I hate [the] utterance of Yahweh.
tenk ikke ut ondt mot hverandre i eders hjerte, og elsk ikke falsk ed! For alt dette hater jeg, sier Herren.
18 And it came [the] word of Yahweh of hosts to me saying.
Og Herrens, hærskarenes Guds ord kom til mig, og det lød så:
19 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] fast of the fourth [month] and [the] fast of the fifth [month] and [the] fast of the seventh [month] and [the] fast of the tenth [month] it will become for [the] house of Judah joy and gladness and appointed feasts good and truth and peace love.
Så sier Herren, hærskarenes Gud: Fasten i den fjerde måned og i den femte og i den syvende og i den tiende måned skal bli Judas hus til fryd og glede og til glade høitider. Men elsk sannhet og fred!
20 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts yet this: they will come peoples and [the] inhabitants of cities many.
Så sier Herren, hærskarenes Gud: Ennu en gang skal det skje at hele folkeslag og mange byers innbyggere skal komme hit.
21 And they will go [the] inhabitants of one [city] to one [city] saying let us go steadfastly to entreat [the] face of Yahweh and to seek Yahweh of hosts I will go also I.
Og innbyggerne i den ene by skal gå til den andre og si: La oss gå avsted for å bønnfalle Herren og for å søke ham, Herren, hærskarenes Gud! Jeg vil gå, jeg og.
22 And they will come peoples many and nations mighty to seek Yahweh of hosts in Jerusalem and to entreat [the] face of Yahweh.
Og mange folkeslag og tallrike hedningefolk skal komme for å søke Herren, hærskarenes Gud, i Jerusalem og for å bønnfalle Herren.
23 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts in the days those that they will take hold ten people from all [the] tongues of the nations and they will take hold on [the] skirt of a person Jewish saying we want to go with you for we have heard God [is] with you.
Så sier Herren, hærskarenes Gud: I de dager skal det skje at ti menn av alle hedningefolkenes tungemål skal gripe fatt i en jødisk manns kappefald og si: Vi vil gå med eder; for vi har hørt at Gud er med eder.
