Zechariah 8
1 And it came [the] word of Yahweh of hosts saying.
Wach Jehova Nyasaye Maratego nochako obirona kendo.
2 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts I am jealous for Zion jealousy great and rage great I am jealous for it.

3 Thus he says Yahweh I have returned to Zion and I will dwell in [the] midst of Jerusalem and it will be called Jerusalem [the] city of faithfulness and [the] mountain of Yahweh of hosts [the] mountain of holiness.
Ma e gima Jehova Nyasaye wacho: “Abiro duogo Sayun mi adag Jerusalem. Eka Jerusalem noluong ni Dala Maduongʼ Mar Tim Makare, kendo got mar Jehova Nyasaye Maratego noluong ni Got Maler.”
4 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts again they will sit old [men] and old [women] in [the] open places of Jerusalem and each staff his [will be] in hand his from abundance of days.
Ma e gima Jehova Nyasaye Maratego wacho: “Chwo gi mon mahikgi ngʼeny biro bet e yore mag Jerusalem kendo, ka moro ka moro kuomgi sirore gi luth nikech hike ngʼeny.
5 And [the] open places of the city they will be filled boys and girls playing in open places its.
Yawuowi gi nyiri nopongʼ yore mag dala ka gitugoe.”
6 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts if it will be difficult in [the] eyes of [the] remnant of the people this in the days those also in view my will it be difficult? [the] utterance of Yahweh of hosts.
Ma e gima Jehova Nyasaye Maratego wacho: “Ni ogendini mantie mane odongʼ kuom ji chakre ndalono to nyalo neno ni gima kama ok nyal timorena; to an bende dobedna gima ok nyalre?” Jehova Nyasaye Maratego ema owacho.
7 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts here I [am] about to save people my from [the] land of [the] east and from [the] land of [the] setting of the sun.
Ma e gima Jehova Nyasaye Maratego wacho: “Abiro reso joga e lwet pinje man yo wuok chiengʼ gi yo podho chiengʼ.
8 And I will bring them and they will dwell in [the] midst of Jerusalem and they will become for me a people and I I will become for them God in faithfulness and in righteousness.
Abiro dwogogi mondo gichak gidag Jerusalem; gibiro bedo joga, kendo kaka Nyasachgi abiro bedonegi ja-adiera kod tim makare.”
9 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts let them be strong hands your O those [who] hear in the days these the words these from [the] mouth of the prophets who on [the] day [when] it was founded [the] house of Yahweh of hosts the temple to be rebuilt.
Ma e gima Jehova Nyasaye Maratego wacho: “Un joma winjo wechegi mane jonabi mane nitie e kinde mane iketo mise mar od Jehova Nyasaye Maratego owuoyoe, koro beduru mondo hekalu oger.
10 For before the days those [the] wage[s] of person not it happened and [the] wage[s] of the animal[s] [was] not it and [belonged] to the [one who] went out and to the [one who] came not peace from the opponent so I may send every person each on neighbor his.
Ka kindeno ne pok ochopo, ne onge chudo mane ichulo ji kata jamni. Onge ngʼama ne nyalo timo tijene mapile gi kwe nikech jasike, nikech namiyo ngʼato ka ngʼato olokore jasik nyawadgi,
11 And now not like the days former I [will be] to [the] remnant of the people this [the] utterance of Yahweh of hosts.
to koro sani ok abi timo ne joma odongʼ kuom jogi kaka ne atimo e kinde mokalo,” Jehova Nyasaye Maratego owacho.
12 That [the] seed of peace the vine it will give fruit its and the land it will give produce its and the heavens they will give dew their and I will give as an inheritance [the] remnant of the people this all these [things].
“Kodhi notwi maber, mzabibu nonyag olembe, cham nochieg e piny, kendo polo nochiw tho margi. Abiro chiwo gigi duto kaka girkeni ni joma odongʼ kuom jogi.
13 And it will be just as you were a curse among the nations O house of Judah and [the] house of Israel so I will save you and you will be a blessing may not you be afraid let them be strong hands your.
Mana kaka usebedo gima ikwongʼo e dier ogendini, yaye Juda gi Israel, e kaka koro abiro resou, mi udok joma ji yudo gweth kuomgi. Kik ubed maluor, to beduru gi chir.”
14 For thus he says Yahweh of hosts just as I planned to do harm to you when provoked to anger ancestors your me he says Yahweh of hosts and not I relented.
Ma e gima Jehova Nyasaye Maratego wacho: “Mana kaka ne asechano mar kelonu masira, kendo kane kwereu owangʼo iya,” Jehova Nyasaye owacho.
15 So I have returned I have planned in the days these to do good to Jerusalem and [the] house of Judah may not you be afraid.
“E yo machal kamano, koro achano mar timo maber kendo ni Jerusalem kod Juda, omiyo kik uluor.
16 These [are] the things which you will do speak truth each with neighbor his faithfulness and justice of peace judge in gates your.
Magi e gik monego utim: Wachuru adiera ne joweteu kendo ngʼaduru bura makare kendo mowinjore e uteu mag ngʼado bura;
17 And each - [the] harm of neighbor his may not you plan in heart your and an oath of falsehood may not you love for all these [are things] which I hate [the] utterance of Yahweh.
kik uchan timo marach ni joma ukiewogo, kendo kik uher kwongʼoru gi miriambo. Ok adwar gigi duto,” Jehova Nyasaye owacho.
18 And it came [the] word of Yahweh of hosts to me saying.
Wach Jehova Nyasaye Maratego nochako obirona.
19 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] fast of the fourth [month] and [the] fast of the fifth [month] and [the] fast of the seventh [month] and [the] fast of the tenth [month] it will become for [the] house of Judah joy and gladness and appointed feasts good and truth and peace love.
Ma e gima Jehova Nyasaye Maratego wacho: “Riyo kech mitimo e dwe mar angʼwen, gi mar abich, gi mar abiriyo, gi mar apar biro bedo kinde mag mor gi ilo kendo gibiro doko kinde mag sewni moyier mag mor ne jo-Juda. Emomiyo heruru adiera kod kwe.”
20 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts yet this: they will come peoples and [the] inhabitants of cities many.
Ma e gima Jehova Nyasaye Maratego wacho: “Ogendini mopogore opogore mathoth kod ji modak e mier madongo bende nobi,
21 And they will go [the] inhabitants of one [city] to one [city] saying let us go steadfastly to entreat [the] face of Yahweh and to seek Yahweh of hosts I will go also I.
kendo ji modak e dala maduongʼ machielo ni wach ni, ‘Wadhiuru riat mondo walam Jehova Nyasaye kendo wadwar Jehova Nyasaye Maratego, an to eri asewuok adhi.’
22 And they will come peoples many and nations mighty to seek Yahweh of hosts in Jerusalem and to entreat [the] face of Yahweh.
Kendo ogendini mangʼeny kod pinje maroteke nobi Jerusalem mondo odwar Jehova Nyasaye Maratego mondo gilame.”
23 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts in the days those that they will take hold ten people from all [the] tongues of the nations and they will take hold on [the] skirt of a person Jewish saying we want to go with you for we have heard God [is] with you.
Ma e gima Jehova Nyasaye Maratego wacho: “E ndalogo ji apar moa e dhoudi mopogore opogore kendo mawacho dhok mopogore opogore nomak riak law ja-Yahudi moro motegno kawacho ni, ‘Yie mondo wadhi kodu, nikech wasewinjo ni Nyasaye nikodu.’”
