Zechariah 7
1 And it was in year four of Darius the king it came [the] word of Yahweh to Zechariah on [day] four of the month ninth in Kislev.
दारयावेश राजा के शासनकाल के चौथे साल के नवें महीने याने कि किसलेव के महीने के चौथे दिन याहवेह का यह वचन ज़करयाह के पास आया.
2 And it had sent Beth-el Shar-ezer and Regem-Melech and men his to entreat [the] face of Yahweh.
बेथेल के लोगों ने याहवेह से बिनती करने और यह पूछने के लिये शारेज़र, रेगेम-मेलेख तथा उनके साथियों को
3 To say to the priests who [belonged] to [the] house of Yahweh of hosts and to the prophets saying ¿ will I weep in the month fifth will I consecrate myself? just as I have done this how many? years.
सर्वशक्तिमान याहवेह के भवन के पुरोहितों और भविष्यवक्ताओं के पास भेजा, “क्या हम पांचवें महीने में शोक मनायें और उपवास करें, जैसा कि हम कई सालों से करते आ रहे हैं?”
4 And it came [the] word of Yahweh of hosts to me saying.
तब सर्वशक्तिमान याहवेह का यह वचन मेरे पास आया:
5 Say to all [the] people of the land and to the priests saying that you fasted and you mourned in the fifth [month] and in the seventh [month] and this seventy year[s] ¿ really did you fast for me me.
“देश के सारे लोगों और पुरोहितों से पूछो, ‘जब तुमने पांचवें और सातवें महीने में पिछले सत्तर सालों तक उपवास तथा विलाप किया, तो क्या सही में तुमने मेरे लिए ही उपवास किया?
6 And if you eat and if you drink ¿ not [are] you the [ones who] eat and [are] you? the [ones who] drink.
और जब तुम खाते और पीते थे, तो क्या तुम ये सब सिर्फ अपने मौज-मस्ती के लिये नहीं करते थे?
7 ¿ Not [are] the words which he proclaimed Yahweh by [the] hand of the prophets former when was Jerusalem remaining and at ease and cities its around it and the Negev and the Shephelah [was] remaining.
क्या ये याहवेह के वचन नहीं हैं, जिसकी घोषणा उन्होंने पहले के भविष्यवक्ताओं के ज़रिये की थी, जब येरूशलेम और उसके आस-पास के नगर शांति और समृद्धि में थे, और नेगेव और पश्चिम के नीचे के देश बस गये थे?’”
8 And it came [the] word of Yahweh to Zechariah saying.
और याहवेह का यह वचन ज़करयाह के पास फिर आया:
9 Thus he says Yahweh of hosts saying justice of faithfulness judge and loyalty and compassion do each with brother his.
“सर्वशक्तिमान याहवेह ने यह कहा है: ‘निष्पक्ष न्याय करो; एक दूसरे के प्रति दया और सहानुभूति दिखाओ.
10 And [the] widow and [the] fatherless [the] sojourner and [the] poor may not you oppress and [the] harm of each brother his may not you plan in heart your.
विधवा या अनाथ, विदेशी या गरीब पर अत्याचार मत करो. एक दूसरे के विरुद्ध षड़्यंत्र मत करो.’
11 And they refused to pay attention and they gave a shoulder stubborn and ears their they made heavy from hearing.
“किंतु उन्होंने इस बात पर कोई ध्यान नहीं दिया; ढीठता से उन्होंने अपना मुंह मोड़ लिया और अपने कानों को बंद कर लिया.
12 And heart their they made flint from hearing the law and the words which he had sent Yahweh of hosts by spirit his by [the] hand of the prophets former and it was wrath great from with Yahweh of hosts.
उन्होंने अपना हृदय पत्थर के समान कठोर बना लिया और कानून की बातों या सर्वशक्तिमान याहवेह के उन वचनों को नहीं सुना जिसे उन्होंने अपनी आत्मा के द्वारा पहले के भविष्यवक्ताओं के ज़रिये भेजा था. इसलिये सर्वशक्तिमान याहवेह बहुत क्रोधित हुए.
13 And it was just as he called and not they listened so they called and not I listened he says Yahweh of hosts.
“‘जब मैंने पुकारा, तो उन्होंने नहीं सुना; इसलिये जब वे मुझे पुकारेंगे, तो मैं भी उनकी नहीं सुनूंगा,’ सर्वशक्तिमान याहवेह का यह कहना है.
14 And I will storm away them to all the nations which not they have known them and the land it was desolate behind them from [one who] passes by and from [one who] returns and they made a land of desire into a waste.
‘मैंने उन्हें एक बवंडर से जाति-जाति के लोगों के बीच बिखेर दिया है, जहां वे अजनबी थे. वह देश जिसे वे अपने पीछे छोड़ आये, ऐसा उजाड़ पड़ा था कि उसमें से होकर कोई भी नहीं जाता. इसी प्रकार से उन्होंने उस खुशनुमा देश को उजाड़ दिया.’”
