Ruth 4
1 And Boaz he went up the gate and he sat down there and there! the kinsman-redeemer [was] passing by whom he had spoken Boaz and he said turn aside! sit! here a certain one a certain one and he turned aside and he sat down.
Boas telah pergi ke pintu gerbang dan duduk di sana. Kebetulan lewatlah penebus yang disebutkan Boas itu. Lalu berkatalah Boas: "Hai saudara, datanglah dahulu ke mari, duduklah di sini." Maka datanglah ia, lalu duduk.
2 And he took ten men from [the] elders of the city and he said sit here and they sat down.
Kemudian dipilihnyalah sepuluh orang dari para tua-tua kota itu, dan berkata: "Duduklah kamu di sini." Maka duduklah mereka.
3 And he said to the kinsman redeemer [the] portion of the field which [belonged] to brother our to Elimelech she has sold Naomi who returned from [the] region of Moab.
Lalu berkatalah ia kepada penebus itu: "Tanah milik kepunyaan saudara kita Elimelekh hendak dijual oleh Naomi, yang telah pulang dari daerah Moab.
4 And I I said I will uncover ear your saying acquire [it] before the [ones] sitting and before [the] elders of people my if you will redeem redeem and if not he will redeem tell! to me (so let me know *Q(K)*) that there not except you [is] to redeem and I [am] after you and he said I I will redeem.
Jadi pikirku: baik juga hal itu kusampaikan kepadamu sebagai berikut: Belilah tanah itu di depan orang-orang yang duduk di sini dan di depan para tua-tua bangsa kita. Jika engkau mau menebusnya, tebuslah; tetapi jika engkau tidak mau menebusnya, beritahukanlah kepadaku, supaya aku tahu, sebab tidak ada orang yang dapat menebusnya kecuali engkau, dan sesudah engkau: aku." Lalu berkatalah ia: "Aku akan menebusnya."
5 And he said Boaz on [the] day acquiring you the field from [the] hand of Naomi and from with Ruth the Moabite [woman] [the] wife of the dead [man] (you have acquired *Q(K)*) to raise up [the] name of the dead [man] over inheritance his.
Tetapi kata Boas: "Pada waktu engkau membeli tanah itu dari tangan Naomi, engkau memperoleh Rut juga, perempuan Moab, isteri orang yang telah mati itu, untuk menegakkan nama orang itu di atas milik pusakanya."
6 And he said the kinsman-redeemer not I am able (to redeem [it] *Q(k)*) for myself lest I should ruin own inheritance my redeem for yourself you right of redemption my for not I am able to redeem [it].
Lalu berkatalah penebus itu: "Jika demikian, aku ini tidak dapat menebusnya, sebab aku akan merusakkan milik pusakaku sendiri. Aku mengharap engkau menebus apa yang seharusnya aku tebus, sebab aku tidak dapat menebusnya."
7 And this before [was] in Israel on the redemption and on the exchange to confirm every matter he took off anyone sandal his and he gave [it] to neighbor his and this [was] the attestation in Israel.
Beginilah kebiasaan dahulu di Israel dalam hal menebus dan menukar: setiap kali orang hendak menguatkan sesuatu perkara, maka yang seorang menanggalkan kasutnya sebelah dan memberikannya kepada yang lain. Demikianlah caranya orang mensahkan perkara di Israel.
8 And he said the kinsman-redeemer to Boaz acquire [it] for yourself and he took off sandal his.
Lalu penebus itu berkata kepada Boas: "Engkau saja yang membelinya." Dan ditanggalkannyalah kasutnya.
9 And he said Boaz to the elders and all the people [are] witnesses you this day that I acquire all that [belonged] to Elimelech and all that [belonged] to Kilion and Mahlon from [the] hand of Naomi.
Kemudian berkatalah Boas kepada para tua-tua dan kepada semua orang di situ: "Kamulah pada hari ini menjadi saksi, bahwa segala milik Elimelekh dan segala milik Kilyon dan Mahlon, aku beli dari tangan Naomi;
10 And also Ruth the Moabite [woman] [the] wife of Mahlon I acquire for myself to a wife to raise up [the] name of the dead [man] over inheritance his and not it will be cut off [the] name of the dead [man] from with brothers his and from [the] gate of place his [are] witnesses you this day.
juga Rut, perempuan Moab itu, isteri Mahlon, aku peroleh menjadi isteriku untuk menegakkan nama orang yang telah mati itu di atas milik pusakanya. Demikianlah nama orang itu tidak akan lenyap dari antara saudara-saudaranya dan dari antara warga kota. Kamulah pada hari ini menjadi saksi."
11 And they said all the people which [was] at the gate and the elders [we are] witnesses may he make Yahweh the woman who is about to come into house your like Rachel - and like Leah who they built [the] two of them [the] house of Israel and make wealth in Ephrathah and proclaim a name in Beth-lehem.
Dan seluruh orang banyak yang hadir di pintu gerbang, dan para tua-tua berkata: "Kamilah menjadi saksi. TUHAN kiranya membuat perempuan yang akan masuk ke rumahmu itu sama seperti Rahel dan Lea, yang keduanya telah membangunkan umat Israel. Biarlah engkau menjadi makmur di Efrata dan biarlah namamu termasyhur di Betlehem,
12 So may it be household your like [the] household of Perez whom she bore Tamar to Judah from the offspring which he will give Yahweh to you from the young woman this.
keturunanmu kiranya menjadi seperti keturunan Peres yang dilahirkan Tamar bagi Yehuda oleh karena anak-anak yang akan diberikan TUHAN kepadamu dari perempuan muda ini!"
13 And he took Boaz Ruth and she became of him a wife and he went into her and he gave Yahweh to her conception and she bore a son.
Lalu Boas mengambil Rut dan perempuan itu menjadi isterinya dan dihampirinyalah dia. Maka atas karunia TUHAN perempuan itu mengandung, lalu melahirkan seorang anak laki-laki.
14 And they said the women to Naomi [be] blessed Yahweh who not he has caused to cease to you a kinsman-redeemer this day and may it be proclaimed name his in Israel.
Sebab itu perempuan-perempuan berkata kepada Naomi: "Terpujilah TUHAN, yang telah rela menolong engkau pada hari ini dengan seorang penebus. Termasyhurlah kiranya nama anak itu di Israel.
15 And he will become for you [one who] restores life and to sustain old age your for daughter-in-law your who she loves you she has given birth to him who she [is] good to you more than seven sons.
Dan dialah yang akan menyegarkan jiwamu dan memelihara engkau pada waktu rambutmu telah putih; sebab menantumu yang mengasihi engkau telah melahirkannya, perempuan yang lebih berharga bagimu dari tujuh anak laki-laki."
16 And she took Naomi the child and she placed him on bosom her and she became of him a nurse.
Dan Naomi mengambil anak itu serta meletakkannya pada pangkuannya dan dialah yang mengasuhnya.
17 And they called him the [female] neighbors a name saying he has been born a son to Naomi and they called name his Obed he [was] [the] father of Jesse [the] father of David.
Dan tetangga-tetangga perempuan memberi nama kepada anak itu, katanya: "Pada Naomi telah lahir seorang anak laki-laki"; lalu mereka menyebutkan namanya Obed. Dialah ayah Isai, ayah Daud.
18 And these [are] [the] descendants of Perez Perez he fathered Hezron.
Inilah keturunan Peres: Peres memperanakkan Hezron,
19 And Hezron he fathered Ram and Ram he fathered Amminadab.
Hezron memperanakkan Ram, Ram memperanakkan Aminadab,
20 And Amminadab he fathered Nahshon and Nahshon he fathered Salmah.
Aminadab memperanakkan Nahason, Nahason memperanakkan Salmon,
21 And Salmon he fathered Boaz and Boaz he fathered Obed.
Salmon memperanakkan Boas, Boas memperanakkan Obed,
22 And Obed he fathered Jesse and Jesse he fathered David.
Obed memperanakkan Isai dan Isai memperanakkan Daud.
