Ruth 2
1 And [belonged] to Naomi (a relative *Q(K)*) of husband her a man mighty of wealth from [the] clan of Elimelech and name his [was] Boaz.
Or, Noémi se connaissait un parent de son mari, un homme considérable par sa richesse, de la famille d’Elimélec, et qui se nommait Booz.
2 And she said Ruth the Moabite [woman] to Naomi let me go please the field (so I may glean *L(ah+b)*) (among the ears of grain *L(abh)*) behind [the one] whom I will find favor in view his and she said to her go O daughter my.
Ruth la Moabite dit un jour à Noémi: "Je voudrais aller dans les champs glaner des épis à la suite de celui qui me ferait bon accueil." Noémi lui répondit: "Va, ma fille."
3 And she went and she came and she gleaned in the field behind the harvesters and it chanced on chance her [the] portion of the field of Boaz who [was] from [the] clan of Elimelech.
Elle alla donc et s’en vint glaner dans un champ derrière les moissonneurs; le hasard l’avait conduite dans une pièce de terre appartenant à Booz, de la famille d’Elimélec.
4 And there! Boaz [was] coming from Beth-lehem and he said to the harvesters Yahweh [be] with you and they said to him may he bless you Yahweh.
Voilà que Booz arrivait justement de Bethléem; il dit aux moissonneurs: "Que le Seigneur soit avec vous!" Et eux de répliquer: "Le Seigneur te bénisse!"
5 And he said Boaz to servant his who was appointed over the harvesters [belongs] to whom? the young woman this.
Booz demanda à son serviteur qui dirigeait les moissonneurs: "A qui cette jeune fille?"
6 And he answered the servant who was appointed over the harvesters and he said [is] a young woman Moabite she who returned with Naomi from [the] region of Moab.
Le serviteur chargé de surveiller les moissonneurs répondit: "C’Est une jeune fille moabite, celle qui est venue avec Noémi des plaines de Moab.
7 And she said let me glean please and I will gather among the sheaves behind the harvesters and she came and she has stayed from then this morning and until now this sitting she the house little.
Elle nous a dit: Je voudrais glaner et recueillir des épis près des tas de gerbes, à la suite des moissonneurs. Ainsi elle est venue, et elle se trouve ici depuis le matin jusqu’à présent, tant son séjour à la maison a été de courte durée."
8 And he said Boaz to Ruth ¿ not have you heard O daughter my may not you go to glean in a field another and also not you must pass on from this [field] and thus you will stay! with female servants my.
Booz dit alors à Ruth: "Entends-tu, ma fille, ne va pas glaner dans un autre champ, et ne t’éloigne pas d’ici; attache-toi de la sorte aux pas de mes jeunes servantes.
9 Eyes your [be] on the field which they are harvesting! (and you will go *L(abh)*) behind them ¿ not have I commanded the young men to not to touch you and you will be thirsty and you will go to the vessels and you will drink some of [that] which they will draw! the young men.
Aie les yeux fixés sur le champ qu’elles moissonneront et marche à leur suite; j’ai bien recommandé aux jeunes gens de ne pas te molester; si tu as soif, va où sont les vases et bois de ce que les jeunes gens auront puisé."
10 And she fell on face her and she bowed down [the] ground towards and she said to him why? have I found favor in view your to pay regard to me (and I *L(abh)*) [am] a foreigner.
Ruth se jeta la face contre terre, se prosterna et lui dit: "Comment ai-je pu trouver grâce à tes yeux, pour que tu t’intéresses à moi, qui suis une étrangère?"
11 And he answered Boaz and he said to her certainly it has been told to me all that you have done with mother-in-law your after [the] death of husband your and you left (father your *L(abh)*) and mother your and [the] land of kindred your and you came to a people which not you knew yesterday three days ago.
Booz lui répliqua en disant: "On m’a fidèlement rapporté tout ce que tu as fait pour ta belle-mère après la mort de ton mari: que tu as quitté ton père, ta mère et ton pays natal pour te rendre auprès d’un peuple que tu ne connaissais ni d’hier ni d’avant-hier.
12 May he reward Yahweh deed[s] your and may it be wage[s] your complete from with Yahweh [the] God of Israel whom you have come to take refuge under wings his.
Que l’Eternel te donne le prix de ton œuvre de dévouement! Puisses-tu recevoir une récompense complète du Seigneur, Dieu d’Israël, sous les ailes duquel tu es venue t’abriter!"
13 And she said I am finding favor in view your O lord my for you have comforted me and for you have spoken to [the] heart of maidservant your and I not I am like one of maidservants your.
Elle dit: "Puissé-je toujours trouver grâce à tes yeux, seigneur, car tu m’as consolée, et tes paroles sont allées au cœur de ta servante, bien que je ne sois pas même autant qu’une de tes servantes!"
14 And he said to her Boaz to [the] time of the meal approach here and you will eat some of the food and you will dip portion your in the vinegar and she sat down from [the] side of the harvesters and he held out to her roasted grain and she ate and she was satisfied and she had excess.
A l’heure du repas, Booz lui dit: "Approche et mange de nos aliments; tu peux aussi tremper ton pain dans le vinaigre"; elle s’assit à côté des moissonneurs, il lui offrit du grain grillé, elle en mangea à satiété et en eut encore de reste.
15 And she arose to glean and he commanded Boaz servants his saying also between the sheaves she will glean and not you must humiliate her.
Puis elle se releva pour glaner, et Booz fit cette recommandation à ses gens: "Laissez-la glaner même entre les gerbes, et ne l’humiliez pas.
16 And also indeed you will pull out for her some of the bundles of grain and you will leave [them] and she will glean and not you must rebuke her.
Ayez même soin de laisser tomber de vos javelles des épis que vous abandonnerez, pour qu’elle les ramasse; gardez-vous de lui parler avec dureté."
17 And she gleaned in the field until the evening and she beat out [that] which she had gleaned and it was about an ephah barley.
Elle glana de la sorte dans le champ jusqu’au soir, et, lorsqu’elle eut battu ce qu’elle avait ramassé, il y avait environ un êpha d’orge.
18 And she lifted [it] up and she went the city and she saw mother-in-law her [that] which she had gleaned and she took [it] out and she gave to her [that] which she had left over from abundance her.
Elle l’emporta, rentra en ville, et sa belle-mère vit ce qu’elle avait ramassé. Ruth montra aussi et lui donna ce qu’elle avait mis en réserve après avoir mangé à sa faim.
19 And she said to her mother-in-law her where? did you glean this day and where? did you work may he be [the one who] paid regard to you blessed and she told to mother-in-law her whom she had worked with him and she said [the] name of the man whom I worked with him this day [is] Boaz.
Sa belle-mère lui demanda: "Où donc as-tu glané aujourd’hui? Où as-tu travaillé? Béni soit celui qui t’a témoigné de la bienveillance!" Ruth fit connaître à sa belle-mère chez qui elle avait fait sa besogne: "L’Homme, dit-elle, chez qui j’ai travaillé aujourd’hui se nomme Booz."
20 And she said Naomi to daughter-in-law her [be] blessed he by Yahweh who not he has forsaken covenant loyalty his with the living and with the dead and she said to her Naomi [is] near to us the man [is] one of kinsman-redeemer[s] our he.
Alors Noémi dit à sa bru: "Béni soit-il par l’Eternel, puisqu’il n’a cessé d’être bon pour les vivants et pour les Morts!" Noémi lui dit encore: "Cet homme nous touche de près: il est de nos parents."
21 And she said Ruth the Moabite [woman] also - that he said to me with the servants who [belong] to me you will stay! until they have completed all the harvest which [belongs] to me.
Ruth la Moabite dit: "Il m’a même adressé ces mots: Attache-toi aux pas de mes gens, jusqu’à ce qu’ils aient achevé toute ma moisson."
22 And she said Naomi to Ruth daughter-in-law her [is] good O daughter my that you will go out with female servants his and not people will molest you in a field another.
Et Noémi dit à Ruth, sa bru: "Il vaut bien mieux, ma fille, que tu ailles avec ses servantes; ainsi tu ne seras pas exposée à être mal accueillie dans un autre champ."
23 And she stayed with [the] female servants of Boaz to glean until was complete [the] harvest of the barley and [the] harvest of the wheat and she dwelt with mother-in-law her.
Ruth resta donc avec les servantes de Booz pour glaner jusqu’à l’achèvement de la moisson de l’orge et du froment; et elle continuait à habiter avec sa belle-mère.
